You need to educate yourself it sounds like. I live in Mississippi and I know plenty of people from Texas. White supremacy has not been eradicated, not even close. There are so many racists where I live it is not even funny. Since I didn't grow up here, I realize it is not as bad in northern states, but Texas is for sure one of the states with a problem. Maybe you are lucky enough to live in a nice area.
