Goodwill Haul - Thrift Store find and Lego Prices Better Investment Than Gold and Silver!

Batman Legos have long been discontinued thus the high re sell price. Soon Spongebob Legos will be gone and they too will be high. Look up Spongebob Bikini Bottom on amazon and see how much they go for.. while The Krusty Krab is still at $40.. not old enough

I agree with you one the Goodwill. Most of the good stuff is sent to their auction site now,

Our goodwill and salvation army are like that now also.

The stores are full of crap and overpriced. Anything they get in that is good is sold online (goodwill). I remember years ago the poor could go there and buy clothes cheap now they sell used for the price you could go to walmart and buy new.

@wstoner - Great point I know used to spend $75-200 a week now its maybe $10 a week. This is proof that the lower the prices the more people buy. Tfw

You arent kidding about Goodwill prices....wow! We have a slavation army store around here that is huge so I mainly go there. Also the small mom and pop type thrifts are good.

GoodWill and Salvation Army are both just pricing themselves out of business. You can't offer anyone any help if all of your stores are full of crap you can't sell! :-)

Toys r us had a 2 fer on the 23rd when I was there..so I went straight to the Droid.couldn't make a comeup at that point..but if id have bought and held..I could see it. Woot.happy new year!!

I always say BUY TWO. One for them to play with and One to store away for later. They will never go down in value!! I bought a few sets and also picked up a few from LegoLand in the Mall of America. A really good friend of mine is finding Older Complete sets like crazy for some reason and making a mint on them right now!! He has 2 of the Millennium Falcons set new in box!! Thanks for the heads up and I will be on the look out!!
