law and order was done well, so they made law and order uk. yet, no american cried about it.

not every show from the UK to US is shit. I've seen both shows now and while they are at the core the same thing, it's a different vibe. One vibe isn't shit and the other heaven, they just coexist somehow as two different TV shows that are doing their own thing. I enjoy the American version because I think the acting is incredible. I enjoy the Brit version because I think the characters and the way it was produced is realistic. Let's all leave it at that, shall we?
Just because you fear the US version becoming more popular or something, which should have no bearing on them enjoying the original but no, they feel obliged to put down a show with only episode shown so far.

You are the funniest person alive. The US version is rubbish. The acting and the scences are watered down versions of the British ones and the characters are watered down versions of the british ones and have become lame.
At least the commonwealth understand the original version and dont have to have a watered down version.
Does she know that it is copied word for word? lol its the same with u.s skins, copied word for word! these programes show the lives of normal people living in certain areas of the u.k so why copy it word for word but set in america, why not be influenced by it and show what the differences are between us an uk? no skill thats why, america should stick to shallow brainwashing shows like 90210! leave the real tv/film making to either england, scotland or wales aka britian!!!
I know that Jody who played Lip(UK) was told about the US version, but do the other actors know about it too?

They had to do that especially for the first season. They didn't steal it, it just is what happens when a show is remade.
