And if he has not been appointed by Allah then one MUST not follow him. So, his claim to be Appointed by Allah MUST be scrutinized on the principle laid down by Allah in Quran for any of the Prophet. If unbiased research supported by prayers reveal that he is true in his claim ONLY then he must b followed.
