My strong feeling is that this is June 14, 1972. It can ONLY be the 14th or the 19th, because Vinco, not Raimondi, is the Sparafucile. And I have had for many years a tape that sounds identical to this which I know is from the 14th.. If anyone thinks Joan was placid, listen to the way she throws herself into this: "A s'egli al mio amore divenne rubello.." is riveting! And the D at the end

Let's not forget that Ruggero Raimondi is the Sparafucile in this excerpt. OUTSTANDING - now I WILL have to purchase the whole performance. Thanks much for sharing this!!!!

Fantastic...even with the promptor for hell.Joan in one of her really magnificent roles.I should have been born earlier!I missed Joan live in these great performances(mid-80's YES!)...Thanks for sharing this!merry Xmas to me!

Hmm... I'm guessing this is the 14th of June? Could be the 12th, but I remember one of them being on the housewire and the prompter being very audible.
The performance is good, Joan does wonderfully... Pavarotti wasn't in best voice for these performances in my opinion though.
