strange that Havens recorded in 1969 then eh?
The album is 1983 - not 1984 as i previously stated....it says on the credits arranged and adapted by richard.p.havens - he wrote it - sorry !

The original is by the Voices of East Harlem. From the album Right On, Be Free. 1970.
