Well, you must fit the look of what they want and have talent, yes. But in that world, over talent you need some initial determination and mostly luck, the right time, connections, and associations.

Aside from that though, that era of rated R ass-kicking action hero cinema is no longer in its climax, its harder now. Now that market is being pleased with overdone special effects and moronic robot and superhero stories. I wish him the best of luck though and that projects come, I like him.
