As long as you get on the right spot, quickly alternating between right and up should net you a wall break. And, as I said, when I researched this glitch some said you could save up to a minute of time (if you have everything else down-pat) by using this trick.
The cabin is your first destination in Happy Happy anyways, so using the glitch would save you a bunch of time. I've read that it can save about a minute or two in a Tool Assisted Speedrun.
