Well ACORN has been behind voter fraud in many states. This may however be the work of the smaller organization in certain cities and not the organization as a whole.
Banks should not be forced to give money to people who won't or can't afford to pay the loan back. This whole set up is what caused the housing bubble and created this economic crisis. And our congressmen are covering their asses by blaming the banks for this mess rather than themsleves because they are the ones that gave organizations that kind of power over the banks.
Read about the CRA also. It gives organizations like ACORN the power to hound banks to give loans to minorities for housing, whether or not they can afford to pay the loan or not. If these banks don't these organizations can cry wold and claim the banks are being racist. And many banks caved in to their demands because they do not want to be labeled racist, even though they are not.

A classic liberal is different than a modern liberal. Modern liberals believe in a nanny state where everyone gives up their freedoms because the government (with all the smart people in it) know what is best for us. Liberal in the classic sense, is much more like modern conservatism.

I am a registered Republican, but I do not always agree with their policies. I am a member of the Southern Baptist Convention but I do not agree with some of their doctrine -- does that make me a fraudulent Christian.

Read about the CRA also. It gives organizations like ACORN the power to hound banks to give loans to minorities for housing, whether or not they can afford to pay the loan or not. If these banks don't these organizations can cry wold and claim the banks are being racist. our founding fathers were very liberal actually. the whole idea of a revolution is INCREDIBLY liberal. then top it off with all the individual rights that were being proposed... i have no idea how you can view them as conservative just because of gun ownership. that isn't relegated only to conservatives.

A classic liberal is different than a modern liberal. Modern liberals believe in a nanny state where everyone gives up their freedoms because the government (with all the smart people in it) know what is best for us. Liberal in the classic sense, is much more like modern conservatism.

Just because you are a member of ACORN does not mean that you agree with everything ACORN does. Those people may actually agree with a lot of the protesters there. I am a registered Republican, but I do not always agree with their policies. I am a member of the Southern Baptist Convention but I do not agree with some of their doctrine -- does that make me a fraudulent Christian.

Personally I think that open antagonism is far better than a hidden superiority complex.
Democrats claim to be for the minority, yet they perpetuate policies that guarantee dependency upon them...
Republicans want freedom and equality with less government intrusion.
Welfare, Social Security, Medicare, Affirmative action, all political social policies designed by Democrats to keep minorities dependent upon government entitlements for ever.

Before the recession welfare most people are on welfare for no more than 2yrs and welfare is so broad. Most minorities dont collect social security and most people on Medicare are white. I think your thinking of medicaid. Affirmative action was created by the Nixon admistration and it was cause because of much discrimination that still goes on today. Those programs dont keep anyone dependent people choose to be dependent on those programs or simply cant break free due to poverty

Welfare is indeed broad, but it is a false safety net which far too many in minority communities rely on, because they have been indoctrinated to believe the man is out to keep them as a "race" downtrodden, I have heard this sentiment from far too many African Americans to believe this is not the result of indoctrination. Yet "the man" is actually their own political party of choice. Democrats.
These programs are the brainchildren of Democrats, long before Nixon.

Without big business there would be no jobs, no products, no services, no economy. Democrats as a party seem to believe that government should have more control over every aspect of our lives, but as we see with the last 2 years of Bush and this current Administration, the more control government has, the less freedom we the people have, and the less prosperous our economic situation. Democrats tax business and the result is a tax on us, and lost business, lost jobs, increased inflation, etc.

Why do you think businesses leave the U.S.? It's not for cheap labor alone...it's because the government taxes them to the hilt for every employee they have...making it harder and harder for companies to hire...meaning it hurts us. Why do you think unemployment has skyrocketed under Obama and a full Dem majority? Because their ideological view doesn't work. Less government, less taxes, fiscal responsibility & personal responsibility are the only solutions to this economic disaster.

Companies everywhere are laying off workers, not just in America. And what makes you think he's had time to implement massive changes to taxation on businesses yet, given he's not been in office a year and a half yet, and you lot have been opposing everything he does, whether or not it'd help people?

Poor people don't pay taxes, they just "sponge" off the backs of hardworking blue collar americans, like myself. I do not pity the poor (life's choices) and I do not envy the rich (created wealth should not be punished) Nobody in this country EVER worked for a poor person. poor people do not, have not and will not CREATE any jobs. I personally can't stand ACORN as an organization because of it's criminal behavior.

Ok..I guess I'm not really sure what ACORN has done compared to members affiliated with the Republican party. Especially Rush who does talk everyday about hatred and blacks against whites and runs parodies called "Barack The Magic Negro," or calls any media against republicans "Drive by media." For God's sake the guy calls his listeners demeaning names like DittoHeads. How sickening is that? As far as ACORN, I think you can look at James O'keefe now and see why it was all taken out of proportion
