heroin is easy to quit. it is a matter of having a good relationship with your substance of choice.
caffeine is a more toxic substance than heroin but because heroin is injected the relationship is already askewed. most people who use heroin never do it again. they do it once say that's not for me and move on. it is only the minority who become addicted.

I dont know whats wrong with me! Even after watching this im sure i will ask my dealer to get me heroin wtf? Ive only tried marijuana and been off for 2 weeks and now i just need something to get messed up! Im depressed and sad all the time when im not high so anyone got any tips for me?
Heroin must be really hard to quit cause it's an opiate so the withdrawal must be an extremely unpleasant thing to go through. I really keep my fingers crossed for people who happen to find themselves in this situation and decide to stop using.

give god a chance dont wait till its to late for you, because Jesus Christ loves you very much !repent of your sins ! and ask Jesus to come into your heart and save you! the bible says in romans chapter 10 vers 8-13 says " if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved .For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved !!!!
I don't know, I just saw the film Puncture and Chris Evans plays a druggie lawyer. I'm mean drugs are a real demon, and Evans does a fantastic job showing himself under the influence. The drug brings him down farther and farther. The film really made me think about my own personal demons and about what other people are going through. You should really check out the film and let it motivate you not to take the path Evans does.
these people are mad fucking stupid. just buy some kratom and use that in the place of heroin to eliminate withdrawal symptoms, use it for a week or two until you no longer need to use heroin. kratom is also physically addicting but its nowhere near as bad, and pretty is pretty easy to quit. or, if you can afford it (not that they can...), go to Mexico or Canada and look for ibogaine (its legal there). it kills ANY drug addiction with a single dose, and you get to trip the fuck out.

@2011yourlife Lol, go fuck yourself man. All of us go to shit, might as well make sure you are first. Fuck religion by the way and fuck your redneck ass :).
@2011yourlife Maybe you should think for yourself, otherwise it's not your life. If it helps any, learn to realize that "your god" is how you perceive the world meaning that god is your brain. This might help you overcome the shackles that have been placed on your mind by the church.
@gmodfan11 Historian say there was a jesus character and most likely he was a jewish rabbi although where or not he did everything in the bible is probably false as the bible was written 3000 years after his death.

youre lucky, heroin where ime from is so cut to fuck it dose nothing i havent gouched for a longlong time so the lesson is give WEST BERKSHIRE UK a miss if you want heroin
Heroin would not only destroy a life but a whole family. My ex husband decided to give up our family for heroin. Everytime I get news from him things just keep gettin worse. He is a homeless somewhere in Portland.
In the comments, people make up side effects with no basis whatsoever.
Liver Damage-Nope
Collapsed Veins-Bad injecting practices, not linked to the drug whatsoever
Weakened immune system- This is accurate to the people portrayed in the video due to the severity of their addiction, not the drug itself. This does not portray the vast majority of Heroin users.
Yes it's bad and addictive, but the biggest problem with Heroin is the street drug nature, and Government's zero tolerance view of it.

The price to pay is just too high for me to try heroin or any other hard drug....I have always been afraid of getting hooked and not having enough will power to stop when I want.
Yeah meth ads are more fucked up bur this is spreading the word that heroin is a addictive drug! Yeah that might sound like someone who don't know wat their talking bout but take it from someone who's had it in their family! Your body is acing for it, you get black teeth, you become bones, you can't find veins! It kills people, breaks up families and hurts everyone !xx
Why are soldiers in Afghanistan guarding poppy fields, because the same business interests that run the oil, mineral and reconstruction campaigns also make money through the illegal drugs trade, Heroin has seen a massive influx since the imperial west has invaded these countries.
@SimplyShaded All hard drugs are bad for you....it's not about which one is worse than the other. They all lead to horrible addictions...they all ruin your life.
I see more true love and tenderness in Joachim's embrace of Trina after the shoot than I've seen in any man towards a woman anywhere. Without doubt I am obtaining some of this shit. Life is so brutal. Mine is already ruined. Ruined life vs. Ruined life with occasional sparks of gold, specks of temporary happiness = WTF is not to love?
@iwantoldschool Please dont. Life will become a nightmare for you. If there are things in your life you dont like change them! Dont go down that dark path please
I HATE OPIATES! FOR SOME, SUICIDE IS THE ONLY WAY OUT, IF YOU THINK ANYONE CAN GET CLEAN FROM OPIATE ADDICTION ,THEN YOU DONT UNDERSTAND ADDICTION OPIATE ADDICTION . WHITHOUT IT ,SOME WILL LIVE WITH SEVERE CHRONIC PAIN FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIVES!
Now that you have met me, what will you do? Will you try me or not? Its all up to you. I can bring you more misery than words can tell. Come take my hand, let me lead you to hell....................
but then its too late, and you'll know in your heart, that you are mine, and we shall not part. You'll regret that you tried me, they always do, but you came to me, not I to you. You knew this would happen. Many times you were told, but you challenged my power, and you chose to be bold. You could have said no, and just walked away, if you could live that day over, now what would you say? I'll be your master; you will be my slave, I'll even go with you, when you go to your grave.
When I'm finished with you you'll be lucky to live. If you try me be warned this is no game. If given the chance, I'll drive you insane. I'll ravish your body; I'll control your mind. I'll own you completely; your soul will be mine. The nightmares I'll give you while lying in bed, the voices you'll hear from inside your head, the sweat, the shakes, the visions you'll see; I want you to know, these are all gifts from me,
But you'll forget your morals and how you were raised, I'll be your conscience, I'll teach you my ways. I take kids from parents, and parents from kids, I turn people from god, and separate friends. I'll take everything from you, your looks and your pride; I'll be with you always, right by your side. You'll give up everything your family, your home, your friends, your money, then you'll be alone. I'll take and take, till you have nothing more to give.
Just try me once and I might let you go, but try me twice, and ill own your soul. When i possess you, you'll steal and you'll lie. You do what you have to just to get high. The crimes you'll commit, for the narcotic charms, will be worth the pleasure you'll feel in your arms. You'll lie to your mother; you'll steal from your dad when you see their tears, you should feel sad.
I destroy homes, tear families apart, take your children, and that's just the start. I'm more costly than diamonds, more costly than gold, the sorrow I bring is a sight to behold, and if you need me, remember I'm easily found. I live all around you, in schools and in towns. I live with the rich, I live with the poor, I live down the street, and maybe next door. My power is awesome; try me ......you'll see, but if you do, you may never break free.

That is rotten! Disgusting! I can't stand seeing the needles going in! There's just something about it. I can stand gettin needles myself for medical reason or whatever but when it's a nasty drug like that it makes my stomach turn!
I got a really creepy and sick feeling to my stomach when I watched this video. Not because the people disgusted me or anything, but because it reminded me of the place where I was about 5 years ago. I feel for each of those people in so may ways. I wish them well and hope for their recovery.
@pinkymixology Not all opiate users are criminals. There are many of people who do heroin a couple times a year and aren't addicted to it. Now I don't really think that heroin should be legalized, but I think that all drugs should be decriminalized, this way heroin prices will be cheaper and junkies won't have to steal or rob people to get their fix. Opiates are actually pretty safe at the right doses, its only dangerous when you take to much or IV it because your veins can collapse.
@pinkymixology Like I said, opiates are safe when used responsibly. Your younger brother obviously wasn't responsible and abused the drug. I don't believe that punishing somebody with an opiate addiction is right. Why waste tax money on sending addicts to jail? The second they get out, they are going to get their fix immediately. Instead we should use that money to send them to rehab so they can return and contribute to society again. Also, I've only done opiates for medical purposes.
@oldspice420 Opiates, heroin in particular, are impossible to be used responsibly. Prescription opiates, like codeine and oxycodone, are not as addictive because the opium is extended over hours. But with heroin, there is no safe, there is no responsible.
@crunchmetal If you smoke cannabis and you are trying to convince yourself that the act is less dangerous than taking other drugs, you are deluding yourself. Smoking cannabis is extremely dangerous, the same as smoking tobacco. Heroin is not a dangerous drug, it is just a way of getting morphine.
@dtastl Inhaling any combusted substance is harmful to your lungs. However, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) holds a significantly smaller potential for physical addiction than nicotine and morphine. To say that heroin is not a dangerous drug is nothing short of stupid, and to at the same time claim that marijuana IS a dangerous drug is astoundingly stupid.
@crunchmetal You are resorting to personal abuse rather than discuss the issue honestly. I said the act of smoking cannabis is dangerous. Undeniable fact. Heroin (morphine) is not a dangerous drug. Side-effects- nausea and constipation. Undeniable fact. I challenge you to be honest and answer this question- do you smoke cannabis?
@dtastl Although I have smoked cannabis in the past, I do not. I have already granted that smoking cannabis is unhealthy. Your claim that heroin (diacetylmorphine) is not dangerous is RIDICULOUS. Other than the nausea and constipation you mentioned, other side affects include one of the strongest addictions known to man, collapsed veins, HIV and other blood-born pathogens from sharing needles, feelings of abandonment, withdrawal, a significant risk of DEATH, and more. Undeniable fact.
@crunchmetal OK, good luck with your heroin demonisation thing, you obviously gain some satisfaction from it. I would love to know what fuels your denial. Is it hate of people that happen to use a drug other than alcohol, tobacco or caffeine? Do you need someone to hate/scapegoat? Or do you find the truth about heroin too confronting after swallowing the prohibitionist lies? There has to be a reason why you lie about a drug that is not inherently dangerous.
@dtastl I do not hate people who use illicit substances. That's not the issue. What I can't abide by is people like you claiming that heroin, crack cocaine, methamphetamine, and other hard drugs are not capable of destroying lives. Reputable medical publications place street heroin as one of the most addictive and physically damaging of street drugs, usually second only to methamphetamine. To claim otherwise is sheer ignorance.
@crunchmetal You seem determined to hate "illicit" drugs. Why the distinction? There are several things you dont understand. Firstly, this "hard/soft" drug distinction is completely false. The most dangerous drugs by far are the "legal" ones: tobacco and alcohol. The "reputable" publications you talk of are almost exclusively funded by prohibitionist governments. The truth is largely not told. Which of the "legal" drugs do you use?
@dtastl I drink coffee regularly, and will drink alcoholic beverages infrequently. I think I see the problem with our exchange: we both have different definitions of "dangerous." I see a drug as having maximum danger when it has the most potential to strip you of your possessions, relationships, and life. You see danger through the context of how many people are affected by the substance.
@dtastl Heroin is mixed and cut with other chemical which makes it even more dangerous. I don't know...maybe if it was in a pure herb form without all the chemical stuff who knows what kind of effect it would have on the human body, but I do believe that too much of anything is bad for you. Simply put, heroin is BAD, BAD, BAD...and people should stay clear from it.
@Famfriass It is obvious by your comments you know very little about the drug. Watch the presentation on my channel. What you are saying about adulterants, at least in Australia, is not true and has been proven not to be true. Why would a dealer want to poison his or her clients? The "hardest" drugs are tobacco and alcoho.
@dtastl Tobacco is an incredibly dangerous drug, but it does not generally result in a reduction of quality of life in the way that heroin does. It remains the leading cause of death in America, and is still HIGHLY dangerous due to nicotine's high addiction potential, but is not nearly as dehumanizing as other hard drugs. Alcohol is certainly not among the hardest of drugs, as its potential for addiction is lower than heroin and its kin, and also carries a lower risk of death.
@crunchmetal Re- alcohol, what utter nonsense. Alcohol is harmful to every cell in the body, its first metabolite is a known carcinogen and heavy use harms the brain and other organs. Heroin (morphine) is non-toxic with side effects of nausea and constipation. Alcohol has just as high a potential for addiction, probably more. Alcohol is by far the most dangerous drug for young people. Lower potential for death- absolutely ludicruous statement.
@dtastl I'm done with dealing with you if you say shit like "heroin is non-toxic." Long-term addicts have only a 50% survival rate, and an addiction that starts for many users the very first time they shoot up. Alcohol is the leading cause of death for teens, but that's because far more teens drink than take heroin. Side effects of heroin are not restricted to nausea/constipation but also include addiction, collapsed veins, destruction of the liver, weakened immune system, and death.
@crunchmetal View the presentation on my chanel for the facts. Heroin is a delivery system for morphine, which is non-toxic. Fatal heroin overdose (taking only heroin) is a fallacy. Again, heroin is not a dangerous drug. Nearly everything you are saying is mischievious nonsense. From this point on, if you persist in saying these things, you are quite simply a liar. Alcohol is dangerous for teens not because its use is widespread, it is largely because of its dis-inhibiting nature.
@dtastl Exactly. In addiction to alcohol's negative impact on its users' behavior, it is also a cytotoxin, with the potential of damaging each and every cell and thus every organ in the consumers body. It is probably the most toxic recreational drug out there. The argument, its apologists bring all the time of it being a weak drug dosage wise, is very weak, since it is consumed in amounts that are psychoactive and these dosages are toxic. Period. Heroin has no such effects at all.
@dtastl Fatal heroin overdose is a reality, not a fallacy. Even in Switzerland, where government programs supply pure heroin to their patients, overdoses still occur because the patient builds up a tolerance to the drug. This means that the addict must consume increasingly more and more of the drug in order to feel the same effects. I am not denying the dangers of alcohol, but to say that heroin doesn't hold a candle to it is simply incorrect.
@crunchmetal I'm afraid I have just started to doubt your intellect. You are posting absolute nonsense despite being alerted to the truth. There must be a motivation that you are not telling us about for you to be so intent in demonising heroin to the point of using obvious lies. Perhaps a career in the DEA or mainstream media is beckoning??
@dtastl In this last comment of yours, you make claims without explaining them, you make inferences that are neither relevant or true, and you make no argument against my contentions. Basically, you're just blowing steam.
@Swotoful I dont know what to say about people like you except open your mind and be prepared to challenge your incorrect preconceptions. View the presentation on my channel, check the sources and information and you will find it correct. I understand that it is confronting for people to find out that heroin is actually not an inherently dangerous drug, but it helps no-one to deny the undeniable. Are you saying you are incapable of learning?
I've got better things to do then argue with a bigot like you. I know you think you're an intellectual, but you're not. You're just a bigoted asshole. Get blocked.
@Swotoful Maybe I was a bit patronizing and I apologise for that. I won't apologise however for demanding the truth be spoken about a serious subject. Crunchmetal is saying a lot of things that are blatantly untrue. If you don’t understand the true nature of drugs like heroin, that is not my fault. You can continue to believe the spin or enlighten yourself to the reality. Its up to you. But before you brand someone a bigot, maybe find out the validity of your knowledge and views first.
@crunchmetal "overdoses still occur because the patient builds up a tolerance to the drug."
If you tolerance rises, the dose needed for an OD does also rise accordingly. These ODs you're talking about are the result of mixing depressant drugs, such als benzodiazepines and/or alcohol with opiates. Please get your facts right.
@crunchmetal "Side effects of heroin are [...] collapsed veins, destruction of the liver, weakened immune system[...]"
These points do NOT come from the drugs pharmacologic effects, because none of them were ever observed or reported in the swiss heroin program as well as patients suffering from pain that are treated with opiates such as morphin and oxycodone. These are the effects of a) bad handling of the drug and b) impurities found in street drugs, the results of prohibition.
@Scorpitarios The discussion is on heroin (diacetylmorphine), not morphine or other opiates. The Swiss heroin program still reported destruction of the liver in its patients, as is observed in all medical opiates. Additionally, bad handling of the drug is a common occurrence in addicts whose only priority is getting their fix, not health or safety.
1) The liver damage you're talking about isn't induced by the pharmaceutical grade diamorphine, but in part from dirty street heroin, the participants had used before entering the programme and which some keep using as well as alcohol. And to make matters more complicated, many of them are polytoxes.
2) Liver damage associated with other medical opiates do rather stem from paracetamol and other secondary painkillers that are sometimes mixed into the formulations.
3) Since the active component of heroin is morphine and 6-MAM, the discussion automatically includes morphine. The pharmacological effects of different opiates are so similar, that most users can't even distiguish the effects of heroin and hydromorphone in a double blind study.
4) Yes some addicts are like that, but many aren't. And prohibition doesn't make that situation any better at all, cause not a single pain patient using very high doses ends up like that.
Heroin is one of those drugs that is very easy to get away using and being addicted to if you have the funds. It is completely non-toxic. There were some case studies I read monitoring heroin addicts in Scotland, which concluded heroin can be used with virtually no impact on one's life. Alcohol is much worse. Hippocampal lesions, excitotoxicity, seizures upon cessation of use, cancer, liver damage/failure etc, etc.
@almostskater3210 Most of your statements are, for the most part, true, except when you say that "heroin can be used with virtually no impact on one's life." Heroin impairs your ability to drive/operate machinery, and as a strong depressant it makes you very lethargic. Even if you have the funds to pay for a long-term heroin addiction (which is unlikely), the drug's psychological effects will still greatly affect your lifestyle.
@crunchmetal "Heroin impairs your ability to drive/operate machinery, and as a strong depressant it makes you very lethargic."
Have you even experienced the effects of opiates yourself that you makes such a statement? People taking opiates (medically) can virtually participate in any activity of daily life, even operate heavy machinery. If you want to point out to the "zombies": there are usually benzos or alcohol involved in those cases. Typical polytoxicomania.
@almostskater3210 And what makes alcohol less dangerous for addiction is its likelihood that you will become addicted from taking it on a rare basis. Heroin tends to create a phenomenon known as "chasing the dragon," where addicts constantly pursue their first high from the drug (which is usually the most euphoric experience of their life). Alcohol, while perhaps more damaging than medical-grade heroin, does not tend to have such a fast-setting addiction.
I know; that is because heroin releases more dopamine, and alcohol also effects ion channels and is an NMDA antagonist and GABA agonist lessening neurotransmitter release. I am not saying alcohol is more psychologically addictive, but it is much more physically addictive and incredibly toxic to the brain and body. Alcohol addiction (along with benzos, GHB, etc) is worse than heroin addiction.
@crunchmetal The speed of the onset of addiction is ultimately of no importance if you regard the fact that people having an impulse control disorder that use a dopaminergic drug are going to have an addiction syndrome triggered anyway sooner or later. And your mention of "chasing the dragon" is not correct since the term is used to discribe the practice of vaporizing heroin. The first few highs are in fact usually experienced as highly uncomfortable as strong nausea takes place.
@Scorpitarios Look up "chasing the dragon" on urbandictionary. And yeah, some people do have an addictive personality that makes them susceptible to addiction from using any substance. But outside of this example, heroin addiction is far more likely to occur from experimentation than alcoholism.
@crunchmetal Common consequences of heavy alcohol use- pancreatitis, cirrhosis, fatty liver, liver cancer, brain damage, cancers, stomach ulcers, heart disease. Do I need to go on? Sounds like a hard drug to me.
@pinkymixology Stop hiding behind denial, double standards and hatred and take some responsibility. Opiates are safe, apart from constipation. They dont have to be injected. Your brother was affected primarily by the fact that possession of opiates for recreational purposes is illegal, the so-called War on Drugs. Had he been a smoker and tobacco was illegal, it is very likely the same scenario would have occurred. Your bigotry and probable voting habits cause the very thing you despise.
@pinkymixology Actually it is not by choice that most drug addicts stick a needle in their arm, drugs like heroin take over your mind, you feel as if you need it to live and therefore you will do anything to get it into your system. Also, how dare you call your own brother a piece of garbage, he obviously had a problem that he couldn't control. Grow and and get some respect.
@oldspice420 I don't believe that for one second....I know because, I have known individuals who have tried to do hard drugs every now and then, and years later, they still can't seem to stop. Simply put, stay away from the drug.....no ones life should become so boring and painful that they have to resort to taking a hard drug that will eventally make they're lives more than a living hell. I don't want to be a slave to anything and that included drugs.
@pinkymixology they would do that, but only because the drug controls you. it's not an excuse; it's the sad reality. heroin is probably one of the most tragic things in this world, but punishing users will only make things worse. it won't stop addiction, black markets or experimentation. the only way to fight this problem is through wisdom of understanding, not by closing your eyes to what it really does to people. and you can't know unless you've tries to understand what addicts go through.
It's the same "endless sequence, hustle, score, use..." because we're dealing with it wrong. Look at the countries that have decriminalized with amazing results.
For anyone seeking actual help ... not the bullshit you find in court or in "legitimate" rehab centers (they're all jokes) Here's some real info that will really help you.
HouseOfWakingSpirits[dot]com
Addiction IS NOT a disease, it is a symptom of a larger socio-economic problem. Legalization is THE ONLY WAY to tackle addiction as a whole. You CAN heal addiction and leave it in the dust for good, HouseOfWakingSpirits will show you how - it's free information for the good of everyone.
To those who suffer from drug addiction I hope this tribute video created for my brother Nick who passed away at age 28 from a heroin overdose can encourage you to take the next step to beat your addiction. There are people there for you. Your life is worth living for
@nicksister So sorry to heard that and my condolences. I have a friend in grade 9 who started doing weed and ciggs and i dont know how to get him to stop before he goes further into more serious drugs because he said he would, any ideas?
@EdubbleRulez My brother just passed away at 20 from an overdose (this was a month ago, so the toxicology is not back yet, but he did do heroin), and honestly you have to want to help yourself, if you have no desire to get better than you won.t.

heroin is easy to quit. it is a matter of having a good relationship with your substance of choice.
caffeine is a more toxic substance than heroin but because heroin is injected the relationship is already askewed. most people who use heroin never do it again. they do it once say that's not for me and move on. it is only the minority who become addicted.

Opiates are actually pretty safe at the right doses, its only dangerous when you take to much or IV it because your veins can collapse.
oldspice420 2 months ago

pinkymixology 2 months ago
@pinkymixology Like I said, opiates are safe when used responsibly. Your younger brother obviously wasn't responsible and abused the drug. I don't believe that punishing somebody with an opiate addiction is right. Why waste tax money on sending addicts to jail? The second they get out, they are going to get their fix immediately. Instead we should use that money to send them to rehab so they can return and contribute to society again. Also, I've only done opiates for medical purposes.
oldspice420 2 months ago
@oldspice420 Opiates, heroin in particular, are impossible to be used responsibly. Prescription opiates, like codeine and oxycodone, are not as addictive because the opium is extended over hours. But with heroin, there is no safe, there is no responsible.
crunchmetal 1 month ago
@crunchmetal What a load of crap. Lies, hyperbole etc. Just trying to perpetuate the bullshit that heroin is different to other drugs.
dtastl 1 month ago
@dtastl No, just trying to perpetuate the fact that marijuana is not nearly as dangerous as heroin, crack cocaine, or methamphetamine.
crunchmetal 1 month ago
@crunchmetal If you smoke cannabis and you are trying to convince yourself that the act is less dangerous than taking other drugs, you are deluding yourself. Smoking cannabis is extremely dangerous, the same as smoking tobacco. Heroin is not a dangerous drug, it is just a way of getting morphine.
dtastl 1 month ago
@dtastl Inhaling any combusted substance is harmful to your lungs. However, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) holds a significantly smaller potential for physical addiction than nicotine and morphine. To say that heroin is not a dangerous drug is nothing short of stupid, and to at the same time claim that marijuana IS a dangerous drug is astoundingly stupid.
crunchmetal 1 month ago
@crunchmetal You are resorting to personal abuse rather than discuss the issue honestly. I said the act of smoking cannabis is dangerous. Undeniable fact. Heroin (morphine) is not a dangerous drug. Side-effects- nausea and constipation. Undeniable fact. I challenge you to be honest and answer this question- do you smoke cannabis?
dtastl 1 month ago
@dtastl Although I have smoked cannabis in the past, I do not. I have already granted that smoking cannabis is unhealthy. Your claim that heroin (diacetylmorphine) is not dangerous is RIDICULOUS. Other than the nausea and constipation you mentioned, other side affects include one of the strongest addictions known to man, collapsed veins, HIV and other blood-born pathogens from sharing needles, feelings of abandonment, withdrawal, a significant risk of DEATH, and more. Undeniable fact.
crunchmetal 1 month ago
@crunchmetal OK, good luck with your heroin demonisation thing, you obviously gain some satisfaction from it. I would love to know what fuels your denial. Is it hate of people that happen to use a drug other than alcohol, tobacco or caffeine? Do you need someone to hate/scapegoat? Or do you find the truth about heroin too confronting after swallowing the prohibitionist lies? There has to be a reason why you lie about a drug that is not inherently dangerous.
dtastl 1 month ago
@dtastl I do not hate people who use illicit substances. That's not the issue. What I can't abide by is people like you claiming that heroin, crack cocaine, methamphetamine, and other hard drugs are not capable of destroying lives. Reputable medical publications place street heroin as one of the most addictive and physically damaging of street drugs, usually second only to methamphetamine. To claim otherwise is sheer ignorance.
crunchmetal 1 month ago
@crunchmetal You seem determined to hate "illicit" drugs. Why the distinction? There are several things you dont understand. Firstly, this "hard/soft" drug distinction is completely false. The most dangerous drugs by far are the "legal" ones: tobacco and alcohol. The "reputable" publications you talk of are almost exclusively funded by prohibitionist governments. The truth is largely not told. Which of the "legal" drugs do you use?
dtastl 1 month ago
@dtastl I drink coffee regularly, and will drink alcoholic beverages infrequently. I think I see the problem with our exchange: we both have different definitions of "dangerous." I see a drug as having maximum danger when it has the most potential to strip you of your possessions, relationships, and life. You see danger through the context of how many people are affected by the substance.
crunchmetal 1 month ago
@dtastl Also, if you still don't think heroin is extremely addictive, why don't you go shoot up and we'll see where you are in five years. Deal?
crunchmetal 1 month ago
@crunchmetal I totally agree with you!
Famfriass 1 month ago
@dtastl Heroin is mixed and cut with other chemical which makes it even more dangerous. I don't know...maybe if it was in a pure herb form without all the chemical stuff who knows what kind of effect it would have on the human body, but I do believe that too much of anything is bad for you. Simply put, heroin is BAD, BAD, BAD...and people should stay clear from it.
Famfriass 1 month ago
@Famfriass It is obvious by your comments you know very little about the drug. Watch the presentation on my channel. What you are saying about adulterants, at least in Australia, is not true and has been proven not to be true. Why would a dealer want to poison his or her clients? The "hardest" drugs are tobacco and alcoho.
dtastl 1 month ago
@dtastl Tobacco is an incredibly dangerous drug, but it does not generally result in a reduction of quality of life in the way that heroin does. It remains the leading cause of death in America, and is still HIGHLY dangerous due to nicotine's high addiction potential, but is not nearly as dehumanizing as other hard drugs. Alcohol is certainly not among the hardest of drugs, as its potential for addiction is lower than heroin and its kin, and also carries a lower risk of death.
crunchmetal 1 month ago
@crunchmetal Re- alcohol, what utter nonsense. Alcohol is harmful to every cell in the body, its first metabolite is a known carcinogen and heavy use harms the brain and other organs. Heroin (morphine) is non-toxic with side effects of nausea and constipation. Alcohol has just as high a potential for addiction, probably more. Alcohol is by far the most dangerous drug for young people. Lower potential for death- absolutely ludicruous statement.
dtastl 1 month ago
@dtastl I'm done with dealing with you if you say shit like "heroin is non-toxic." Long-term addicts have only a 50% survival rate, and an addiction that starts for many users the very first time they shoot up. Alcohol is the leading cause of death for teens, but that's because far more teens drink than take heroin. Side effects of heroin are not restricted to nausea/constipation but also include addiction, collapsed veins, destruction of the liver, weakened immune system, and death.
crunchmetal 1 month ago
@crunchmetal View the presentation on my chanel for the facts. Heroin is a delivery system for morphine, which is non-toxic. Fatal heroin overdose (taking only heroin) is a fallacy. Again, heroin is not a dangerous drug. Nearly everything you are saying is mischievious nonsense. From this point on, if you persist in saying these things, you are quite simply a liar. Alcohol is dangerous for teens not because its use is widespread, it is largely because of its dis-inhibiting nature.
dtastl 1 month ago
@dtastl Exactly. In addiction to alcohol's negative impact on its users' behavior, it is also a cytotoxin, with the potential of damaging each and every cell and thus every organ in the consumers body. It is probably the most toxic recreational drug out there. The argument, its apologists bring all the time of it being a weak drug dosage wise, is very weak, since it is consumed in amounts that are psychoactive and these dosages are toxic. Period. Heroin has no such effects at all.
Scorpitarios 1 month ago
@dtastl Fatal heroin overdose is a reality, not a fallacy. Even in Switzerland, where government programs supply pure heroin to their patients, overdoses still occur because the patient builds up a tolerance to the drug. This means that the addict must consume increasingly more and more of the drug in order to feel the same effects. I am not denying the dangers of alcohol, but to say that heroin doesn't hold a candle to it is simply incorrect.
crunchmetal 4 weeks ago
@crunchmetal I'm afraid I have just started to doubt your intellect. You are posting absolute nonsense despite being alerted to the truth. There must be a motivation that you are not telling us about for you to be so intent in demonising heroin to the point of using obvious lies. Perhaps a career in the DEA or mainstream media is beckoning??

Are you saying you are incapable of learning?

@crunchmetal "overdoses still occur because the patient builds up a tolerance to the drug."
If you tolerance rises, the dose needed for an OD does also rise accordingly. These ODs you're talking about are the result of mixing depressant drugs, such als benzodiazepines and/or alcohol with opiates. Please get your facts right.
Scorpitarios 3 weeks ago
@crunchmetal "Side effects of heroin are [...] collapsed veins, destruction of the liver, weakened immune system[...]"
These points do NOT come from the drugs pharmacologic effects, because none of them were ever observed or reported in the swiss heroin program as well as patients suffering from pain that are treated with opiates such as morphin and oxycodone. These are the effects of a) bad handling of the drug and b) impurities found in street drugs, the results of prohibition.
Scorpitarios 1 month ago
@Scorpitarios The discussion is on heroin (diacetylmorphine), not morphine or other opiates. The Swiss heroin program still reported destruction of the liver in its patients, as is observed in all medical opiates. Additionally, bad handling of the drug is a common occurrence in addicts whose only priority is getting their fix, not health or safety.
crunchmetal 4 weeks ago
@crunchmetal

@crunchmetal
Alcohol addiction (along with benzos, GHB, etc) is worse than heroin addiction.
almostskater3210 3 weeks ago

Your bigotry and probable voting habits cause the very thing you despise.
dtastl 2 months ago

Famfriass 1 month ago
@pinkymixology they would do that, but only because the drug controls you. it's not an excuse; it's the sad reality. heroin is probably one of the most tragic things in this world, but punishing users will only make things worse. it won't stop addiction, black markets or experimentation. the only way to fight this problem is through wisdom of understanding, not by closing your eyes to what it really does to people. and you can't know unless you've tries to understand what addicts go through.

It's the same "endless sequence, hustle, score, use..." because we're dealing with it wrong. Look at the countries that have decriminalized with amazing results.

@EdubbleRulez My brother just passed away at 20 from an overdose (this was a month ago, so the toxicology is not back yet, but he did do heroin), and honestly you have to want to help yourself, if you have no desire to get better than you won.t.
