  • nice work! I was looking for the Skype client and even the command prompt returned a "not found".

Your vid explained everything perfectlcy, 5 Stars and a Thank You!

  • I think people are so surprised by how tightly the VOIP accounts are integrated, they don't expect to be able to find Skype in the main settings page. :)

If you use VOIP and IMs, you can avoid using the phone network completely except for mobile data. It handles them all just like "real" calls and texts.

  • and that is why I did not expect it that way. Most providers will not allow VoIP traffic unless you pay some steep fee, at least in Germany.

Luckily O2, my provider, allows it but I will probably only use it from wifi because my Internet plan only comes with 200MB high speed Internet. After that it is throttled but I am not complaining, it is only €10 per month.

  • Wherever you live, mobile data is a LOT cheaper now than it was five years ago. It is going to get even cheaper as 4G arrives, and as there is more competition from non-phone wireless systems.

  • can i ask what's the music please? :P thx

  • It says the track and artist name at the end of the video.

All of these videos have the music credits at the end. These are all free Creative Commons tracks, you can download them legally from the artists' websites.

  • oh, thx, didn't see it, I kept the end of the vid on the backgroud for the music :P

(I knew how to use skype, but good vid ;) )
