確かNHKの番組だったと記憶しています、当時ビデオに録画して­いましたが、

上書きしてしまい悔しい思いをしていましたが、再び見ることがで­きました。

当初予定していたシンセサイザー奏者がマラリアにかかって来日で­きなくなったため、キーボードのポールグリフィンがシンセサイザ­ーも担当したと記憶しています。

holy cow Stevie and Ralphie had some blistering solos(!) and props to Will Lee for simply being Will Lee. But too bad this music sounds so rediculously dated.

Is that like saying a Van Gogh or Turner painting or egyptian hieroglyph 'looks' ridiculously outdated? Or than an architectural style (Japanese Pagoda or Mies skyscraper) is ridiculously outdated? Or that, for that matter, a species of tree or cat that's been around awhile is ridiculously out-dated?

I would think 'it' is what 'it' is...'it' should be a product of 'its' time, be it art, life, a temple or skyscraper, or music.

Overanalyze all you want, but the sound (nevermind what notes they are all playing) is dated, just like a Philip Johnson building from the same period is... somewhat laughable (I'm thinking of you, AT&T/Sony building). Do I still love this music? Of course. But I still think the sound is hopelessly 1984.

However, once Steve and Ralph break into the 12/8 at 4:27, all sins are forgiven :)
