hehe.. its actually no bug :P i've tried something like it (where my heartstone went wierd and teleported me to middle of ocean)
it happens 'cause the servers don't know which gravyard you belong to, that meens you'll be send to the horde default gravyard which is in the Barrens (right outside crossroads)

Sounds like a bug to me!
The weird thing is that it was repeatable. I did it once on my own, and then went back and recorded it doing it again. So it was not a one-off thing.

i did that once in teldrassil when you fall off the mountain and cant climb back up. you get teleported back distance but not too far.

I THINK you have to have been there before for it to work, or maybe you just have to be horde. I tried it with a level 1 alliance preist (who I walked up the coast from the southern part of the continent to silverpine) and when she "ghost died" she respawned back in silverpine, but she had never been to Kalimdor before.
I hope they didn't fix it or something. In any case, remember you still get the 25% durability damage.

Yeah, someone on the forums I go to pointed that out, but it was too late :(
I thought the Barrens was "in" Durotar.
That's what I get for being a newb. (Hooray for 10 day trials!)
