What do you recommend between the Axis or the MXR 173?

My choice goes to MXR, I think is more transparent and similar to an old fuzz face (with the buffer off). Whit the buffer ON it works best with other pedals.

Axis is very very good, but, about me, it's less versatile and more vintage.

Both pedals do their best with tube amps with high volumes, at home are both useless, fuzz pedals need volume.
