Doctor Who: 10th-11th Regeneration (also Matt Smith First Appearance)

I love Matt Smith. He's funny, he's dorky, he's quirky, he's everything a Doctor should be and he's an excellent Doctor. But he can never be MY Doctor, not like David was, still is and always will be. Christopher made me want to make him proud of me, now Matt makes me want to remind the Doctor how proud we are of him, but David's the one who made me fall in love with the Doctor, the one that made me want to make the Doctor feel safe, loved and not alone. David, we love you and we always will.

I miss David Tennant!!!!!!!!! I like Matt Smith, I think he's funny, but it's like watching a whole new series. And I liked Amy in the first series with her, but in the second series, her trust in the Doctor got a little overwhelming and tiring. She sort of lost her feistiness, you know? I still like David Tennant best, out of all the doctors. I liked how when her said "I don't wanna go" he said it like he was just realizing it.

@Hoganply yea I know how u feel. I think Matt still has to fully grow into character. He's half way there but not quite at the finish line. I think that when he gets an episode which shows the TRUE colours of his character then He will be the perfect doctor!

This transformation ended Doctor Who for me.

Matt Smith is just too immature in his mannerisms. The show, to me, has begun some kind of reversion. The doctor is far too gimmicky - with all this bow tie stuff, and his voice ... and the script/story lines ... I don't know ... it's just not the same. :(

The 10th Doctor was such a tragic character, saving everyone else and losing everything himself. He was wonderful but kudos to the DW staff for picking Matt Smith, what a foil to David Tennant's despair. I love them both for their different qualities! What an actor David Tennant is. Wow. What a clever and beautiful way to end the show. I will miss his companions, his "WELL...", his "Allons-y!" and his mixture of hilarity and loneliness. (We're catching up on netflix and JUST watched EoT)

I've watched all new episodes of doctor who science DT left and Matt Smith isn't that bad. Of course everytime I watch this I cry he was a lot of peoples favorites but don't give matt a hard time. He had REALLY big shoes to fill.

As much as I like Matt Smith I always feel he ruined that scene. Incredibly emotional, I was crying, marveling at David Tennants great acting.... Next minute he was prancing around looking like an idiot in Tennant's Doctor's suit shouting " Legs. I have legs! "

@MerlinGirl1 Totally agree with you. Although, I'd go as far as to say that, regardless of the size of shoes requiring filling, they could have done better. That's no beef toward Matt, who I think is OK - in his own way.
