That is one of THE worst places to break something... near the shin.... ouch! Just think if you walk into a door frame and hit your shin on the metal part it stings like hell. I've broken a lot of bones for my age inc. arms ankles fingers and a few ribs but I can't even begin to image the pain that chev walker felt..... I cringe to even think about it.

I broke my leg very badly 5 years ago, infact i had over 6 seperate breaks including a vertical fracture in my tibia, i now have a tibial nail (full lenght) and several screws holding everything in place...I do hope that your hero hasnt done this amount of damage to his leg...i am talking from experiance and it has really messed up my sports playing. As i said before, i wish him well, I hope he has a speedy and full recovery....

A very serious break, specialy with the tibia breaking the surface of the skin, this could be the end to his rugby career, i dont expect to see him back, certainly not at this level....Rugby is a very dangerous sport and sadley these inccidents do happen...i wish him luck.

Sorry I don't mean to be rude, but I disagree with you. He is one of the toughest men I have ever met and I am proud to say his name. This isn't an end to his career, it's a whole new beggining. Hve you seen the amount of publicity he's getting? And he deserves it, if it were a footballer on the other hand, he would have cried, sued and thrown a tantrum.
