Why is it that the new versions want to have Judas confronting the apostles in the opening song? When I first saw the 1973 version it made sense to me that Judas was having a monologue, reflecting on his thoughts before acting on them or saying something he might regret...which I think is what most people would do if they had a disagreement with a good friend. I don't know...throwing this out there in the beginning kind of makes you wonder why they even keep him around.

Great vocals and the music is true to the original overall. I've viewed several of the songs from this production on youtube. My only complaint is one of the female musicians can be seen at times mouthing the words to some of the songs which is a little distracting. The musicians should be invisible, not bringing attention to themselves.

The only complaint I have with this performance is that the Apostles seem to clap for no reason. In the movie they're worshiping Jesus, in the 2000 production, they're coming on stage, here they're just kind of. . .clapping.

Ive heard many live performances and they almost all have one glaring part that just doesn't sound right. It seems the word "every" gets tossed onto the butcher's block. Like they heard someone with the hiccups sing it and copied it ever since.

You can tell he's basing his version on Carl Anderson's, which, in my opinion, is a very good thing to do! I think he does a great job. Effortless rock voice which is very pleasing on the ear!

Many ppl comparing him to carl, but i gotta feeling most ppl forget the movie was recorded in a studio, and this is live. thumbs up for judas. btw, he and his band are gonna perform on eurovision for the Netherlands next year. If they put down a performance like this it's gonna be, wait for it.. legendary.

Zal een beetje te tuben en kwam ineens langs de Volendam cast filmpjes van JCS. Ik vond Jan Dulles al 'best goed', maar dit is echt absolute, absolute buitencategorie!!! Tuurlijk is het qua stijl een kopie van het origineel, maar als je remake wilt maken moet dat ook. Zijn zang is net zo meesterlijk als het origineel. Een fan erbij, Jan. Ongelofelijk...sprakeloos.

This guy is the perfect fusion of Jerome Pradon and Carl Anderson. His voice has Anderson's edginess and a range comparable to Pradon's. While he is perhaps not as "mobile" as either one, I would wager he sounds as good (if not better) than either one in the studio.
