I enjoyed the video however for me I felt the music gave Hoppers work an overly lonely and melancholic feel. I've always felt his paintings reflect solitude and introspection without necessarily portraying those qualities as negative or sad. However, Like I said I enjoyed the video. Good job.
At least this music was an attempt. It invites introspection. Others saw these paintings on level w/ some bland pop akin to a Harlequin paperback or yuppie cafe tryst. IMO wind down a hollow street is as good as any. You cant do justice to art in any video.
Also pal, dont tell me about art and what I do with it nor what I "know" about Hopper.
He didnt make it for you to "know" and no one can define it barring maybe the artist. Its as diverse as each pair of eyes for better or worse!
And that is what I thought my original comment only was - my own opinion. You in answer decided to throw some well chosen names my way "dumbass" and heavy side of insinuate that I "dont know shit" about art. You know more and Im sure have no more to learn as well.
After all, you have the world on your side (and points to prove). Be my guest - the floor is yours....
I just read your comments... You sound really stupid, I must say!
Why even comment, if you don't like the video/music?
I think both video and music is OK - I my self study "the History of Art" on a 5 year education, but in your opinion, I must be very wrong since I like the music?!?!??!
You sure don't sound like one of the smart kids from Denmark.
Wow, an art student...I'm so impressed.
Too bad you don't hear the difference between music that was contemporary with the painting and would go well with the Art...and this music which is from a sappy movie much later.
So why comment? Why not ask yourself that question; after all; you're the ignorant one. Shows you cannot give anyone a brain just because they attend school.
The music is from the movie Schindler´s List. Thank you for your coment.

I like especially the painting at 1:20. An America gone, never to return. All of them.

I don't like this music on this art.
Much better to use some period music or something less commercial sounding like a film soundtrack from Europe.

Its much more suited than some of the other horrifying choices used in the other Edward Hopper videos

That's sort of a backhanded compliment.
I see several people don't like my comment.
Bunch of dumb ass people who don't know shit about Hopper and his times...they just like to lump all art into a burrito and chomp down.
This music is NOT at all for Hopper. It also disrespects the music and what it WAS made for.
It's just cultural rape really.

Oh right; don't I DARE express my opinion...you might just find out I know a lot more about music and art than you...moron.
Any fool can throw any music and art together...it takes no intelligence whatsoever...pal.
Americans are known worldwide for their lack of taste.
You prove my point, crybaby.

Well, tossing the word "pal" at me like a tough guy gives me license to be as mean as I want.
You missed my key point anyway...and probably always will.
