OH MY LORD! Jeremy Brett was even sexier back then! I love him as Sherlock Holmes. And i love Richard Burton. They both have such eloquence, tragically they died too early. Oh btw the actress is Marie-Christine Barrault.
@alexlgraham The beautiful young woman is french star Marie-Christine Barrault. She has signed the petition to get Jeremy Brett awarded a posthumous BAFTA some days ago.
Judging by the comments i am surprised the script wasn't mentioned .. Sarcasm doesn't get any better .. !! Wharever Richard Burton was in his private life his onscreen delivery of exellent script was some of the best well constructed pieces you'll hear !!
You have to do your research better. Burton was not bi- in his bio 'Rich' he says he tried it once but didn't like it- not exactly a full on confession. However, Brett was probably Bi, not that it really bloody matters anyhow! They were both terrific actors and actively involved in showbusiness; not renowned for homophobic over-reactions love.
@JuanMacready Can you verify that Jeremy Brett was homosexual? It makes little sense to say this when he was very happily married to his second wife, Joan Wilson and grieved her death for the rest of his life.
@mmcrosbie He wasn't homosexual but he was defiantly bisexual, and liking the opposite sex once in a while doesn't mean he didn't love his wife we all know and regret her loss as his.
Holy hell... Youtube closed captions :D Haha... just turn it on (CC button) !!!
I laughed my ass off!
!! 2:20 !!

Clever back-and-forth between the three; they're so catty to each other. :)

@dirk1606 Oh contrare, look up a fellow by the name of Gary Bond alongside Jeremy Brett and then you shall have the answer.

Brett and Burton were BOTH bisexual. Good on them too! About time people realized there is nothing wrong with that. ^_^
Love, love, love this film. I loved this film before I fell in love with Jeremy.
Worked out perfectly. :-)

The bisexual Burton and the homosexual Brett together onscreen.

@JuanMacready Both of them making ambiguous sexuality the hottest it's ever been! =D

Was Burton drunk when he agreed to star in this piece of trash?
JuanMacready 1 year ago
@JuanMacready His head was probably so turned by Jeremy Brett, he didn't even realise!

@JuanMacready Probably, since he was a known alcoholic. At least this wasn't as bad as "The Exorcist 2: The Heretic!" THAT was TRASH.
