What to feed wild birds in winter & what feeders to use

COOL i have put up loads of feeders in my garden and I saw some goldfinches eating the niger seeds this morning and they have never come be4 + i saw some long tailed tits eating the mixed seed they r soooo CUTE (: i love this vid

nice stuff, but over here in australia, we get bigger birds. cockys, lorikeets, crested pigeons and so forth. lots of those hanging feeders that sell have tiny perches. no idea how a cocky would get a peanut out of that mesh.

I'm building my own.
