About normal. I have a '97 and it goes about that fast. My understanding is that this engine has a GREAT cam, but the ports don't let it breath. That's why you feel the surge about half way through its rev range.
Hey guys I have a 1995 FORD AEROSTAR that my Boss gave me when He sold his Dry Cleaning plant. The Van had 41,000 real miles on it. I usually don't like American cars but I took this one because it had low miles on it. Now it has 56,096 miles, and the car runs AWESOME I went to the mechanic to sask for a Spark Plugs and wires change but he couldn't get it because the spark plugs were rusted in. He will do this weekendl using some kind of chemical to loosen them for a couple days first.
ok i have a 1992 ford aero star and i need a lil help ive been to like 50 or 60 car sites and not found anything on the VACUUM ROUTING i have 2 hoses that are missing ive pluged them for now and it runs but when i smash the pedal to the floor all i get is a piss fit n then it pushes me into the seat till i hit 65 n then the motor wont go anyfaster but i need the vacuum routing thats the most important thing right now any help is appreciated post on here or chris5200546@gmail.com
jajajaja la mia llega de 0 a 100 en 7 segundos, y esta tarda 12 segundos de 0 a 90, un truco para hacer que de un poco mas la maquina cuando llegue a 50 suelta el acelerador y despues metelo hasta el fondo te ahorraras mucho tiempo y sentiras el aumento de velocidad (un jalon como si fuera de carreras), tambien procura si vas a correr que tu tanque de gasolina este a la mitad,mas lleno hace que la maquina se atonte mucho.haganlo y vera la diferencia.
mira tambien depende de que motor tenga tu aerostar si tienes la version con motor vulcan 3.0 es una mierda son muy malas actualmente tengo una 1992 motor cologne 4.0 ih no nesesito hacer ese jalon que dises tu eso se llama desaselerar para sentir que entra el overdrive pero no sirve de nda
no es el overdrive como dice carmona1990,(wey) ya que si quisiera hacer eso bastaria con subir la palanca a OD.pero bueno mira de hecho eso es el cambio de velocidad pasa de 1ra a 2da. no necesitas saber el motor ya que cualquier transmision automatica te funciona asi.porque corre tanto? bueno ps tiene 2 pistones planos y NOS. este no te lo recomiendo mucho ya que yo tuve que modificar el cigueñal y mas. a diferencia de lo creen el nitro lo utilizo para ahorrar un poco de gasolina cuando corro.
es estupido la presion de su aceite estaba al minimo pendejo si subia mas delos 100 iba ahh desvielarlo yo tengo una aerostar 4.0 litros esa si es una camioneta dale servisio pendejo

No the Aerostar continued production until 1997 and was sold for 2 years along side the windstar!

You're bullshit, the aerostar was continued until 1997, the last two years they only produced an Aerostar XLT but that's an Aerostar as well.
