You people may think this is fake or just a lame presentation, but this is acually awesome. It takes forever to build robots like this, and the reason they are doing this is not to replace musicians, but this is to show how advanced robots are. I think it would be awesome to just hold a robots hand or even touch it. [I never did :P]

Awesome. You know, there's a philosophy that humans create because nature is imperfect. While, that may be true in some cases, I doubt they made these robots to replace live performers or to be better than them. After all, somebody has to create the music in the first place. ;D This is just a test of our ingenuity. Lighten up, people.

this is what happens when someone doesn't know. this is not a demonstration about music played by robot. this is a demonstration about how technology can perform in the AI field. as a computer scientist, this is wonderful because here you can see how advanced is the technology that even can make robots where they can play music, but obviously robots won't replace the humans. this gives an idea that humans can make advance performing robots.

They don't need food or their own homes. Very little overhead except for the initial purchase price and maybe software. Therefore, an incredibly economical band that you could "rent" to night clubs and other venues. They don't get sleepy, or thirsty, or cranky, and the audience would show up just to see them, even if the music stunk. Cool stuff. :)

ummm that IS a live trumpet. its not a recording being played, the robot has latex lips that can contract and relax, a vibrator, and an air compressor. granted there is a computer telling it what to play, the robot IS producing sound nevertheless.
