  • Wow. If you don't look at the video, I'd swear the host was white.

  • Heenan and Monsoon were the BEST wrestle broadcast ever!

  • wow you guys have really changed over the years.

  • @AnimalLover1977: "You want to make a whore moan, don't pay her."

  • 4:35 what does Bobby say ?

  • Bobby Heenan was one of the biggest personalities in all of wrestling. A true legend

  • What is the date of this great interview?

  • What an asshole. :P

  • so sad to see the brain like this sounds so different :(

  • anyone remember when Bobby fought the Ultimate Warrior and the loser had to wear a wesel suit? classic WWF days when wrestling was still good

  • Wow! He's in great shape. :)

  • Haha, he's so tight.

  • now that's a real man!

  • PGMEagle... quoted from Benjamin Franklin.

  • it was hard to understand what he say so some one can explian me why he left the wwf to wcw?

  • @yaniv235 MONEY...

  • bobby was the greatest!!!!

  • Relatives are like fish. After 3 days they stink

  • I love Heenan's view on politics for the most part!

  • If I could, I'd give Bobby Heenan my vocal cords so he could sound like he did in his heyday!

  • Heenan shoujld make a tag team with bill alfonso, that would be the most badass thing ever.

  • Michael Cole is a weenee. Bring back Bobby Heenan, and Jesse Ventura. Nobodycould commantate like them

  • this interview guy is such a tool. Notice he laughs at anything, even when there isn't a joke.

  • Now WWE has . . . the "heel" commentator, Michael Cole. BORRRIIIINNNNGGGG!!! The only ones who ever got that character right were Bobby Heenan, Jesse Ventura and Jerry Lawler. And do you know why? Because they were former wrestlers who knew how to put that character across properly! There were none before them, and no one since them has come close. Don West? Johnny Valiant? Don't make me laugh. Except for Heenan, Lawler and Ventura, all the heel commentators in wrestling have sucked!

  • This man is hilarious! There are four wrestling personalities that I would love to have a real conversation with: Bobby, Mick Foley, Jim Cornette, and Bruno Sammartino. Simply an amazing man.

  • The Brain is THE MAN!!!!!!! GREAT interview.

  • This is your brain.

This is your brain on alcohol.

  • anyone know how The Brain is doing these days?

  • god bless Bobby "The Brain" Heenan

  • its so true what the brain said wrestling is so dead ... and i know for a fact when the undertaker leaves it will surely fail and ive been watching since 1993 once the undertaker leaves i will stop watching

  • Funny at 4:30 , The Brain is almost Speechless LOL

  • He doesn't have much to live.

  • Bobby Heenan was indeed great behind the microphone. The best wrestling personality and manager in the history of wrestling. As a kid, I couldn't wait to watch Wrestling Challenge every Sunday afternoon just to see Bobby and Gorilla argue with each other and hear the Brain's smart antics. A True Legand Of Our Sport!!

  • December 28 The WWE will release a Two Disc DVD set about the Life and Career of Bobby Heenan, featuring a 2 hours documentary and many promos/matches. I can't wait for that, Bobby Heenan is the funniest man ever !!!

  • Bobby The Brain Heenan. The man, the legend, the voice of my childhood.

  • bobby heenan is the best!

  • "man that was a helluva bump!here's $5" lmao only the brain

  • I can watch this after the worst day and be laughing hysterically, thanks Bobby and get well soon bud!

  • Certainly one of the most entertaining managers in the history of pro wrestling.

  • he looks very sick to me, i wish him well, always a fan of his !

  • let's hope he's in remission; it's been a few months since a former wrestler told me about his condition.

  • Bobby Heenan is suffering from throat cancer.let's all pray for him.

  • @albalonybalony i thought he recovered from it

  • WRESTLING WASN'T FUN TO WATCH UNLESS YOU SAW HEENAN & HIS FAMILY DO SOMETHING

  • is he ill or did he just drop a bunch of weight

  • I would love to have seen Bobby the Brain and Jerry lawler together

  • I could listen to Heenan talk for hours he was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The openning reminds me like something right out of The Simpsons.

  • love bobby

  • God Bless You Bobby and all your battles!Best Manager Ever, as i repeat a comment thats been said for the 1oo,ooo,ooo miilionth time!

  • It's a shame Bobby Heenan is in poor health. That recent picture of him with King Kong Bundy last December was hearbreaking to look at.

  • I haven't bought too many WWF DVD's. Last one I think was the WCCW DVD. But if they released a Bobby Heenan DVD, I'd buy that the day it came out.

  • sarcastic overbearing manner but I do honestly think Gorilla and Bobby formed a tremendous partnership as commentators despite hating each other constantly you just simply dont get that anymore, Jim Ross And Jerry Lawler were quite a fantastic duo but now that's virtually gone stale, Michael Cole and Tazz excelled pretty well but was however nothing really special, in the long run however Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby Heenan were honestly 2 marvelous commentators who fully entertained people like me

  • This man quite simply is a legend and was one marvelous heel nobody could play the very smug arrogant rude outspoken character like Bobby Heenan did for most of his wrestling career either as the manager or broadcast journalist sitting alongside his rival counterpart Gorilla Monsoon I'm really deeply surprised these individuals were quite good friends in real life as commentators of course I did always root for Monsoon but Heenan did literally have me in fits of giggles at times with his really

  • I want to just cry hearing his voice now. I mean FUCK man, the can turn a man into a woman, clone fucking animals and vegetables, and fly people to the fucking moon and shit... Why can't they fix this man's voice back to the way it once was?

  • @malandr0bem He looks a HELL of a lot worse than this now: he's had his jaw removed, leaving his face severely disfigured, and has lost tons more weight. Currently, he can't speak more than a few words at a time, and it sounds like a stammering two year old girl when he does.

  • @tobyobrie Yeaa, what a true shame.

That's how Roger Ebert looks too now actually.

  • @at1212b Heenan looks WAY better than ebert. Roger ebert literally has no jaw. At least Bobby's chin isn't hanging off his face.

  • @islamSUCKSballs1 Overall true, as Ebert actually got his jaw removed.. but they are still strikingly similiar if there ever was a case (not sure if you have seen Heenan in a very recent photo)

  • Is that really him? I was a huge WWF fan while I was young and he sounds totally different and looks different. I know age catches up with everyone but man he sounds so different!

  • @willytracks1 He had throat cancer and beat it. But it took its toll.

  • sequined underwear FTW

  • Its only a mtter of time before this guy guests hosts RAW,followed by Mean Gene Oakerlund,Pat Patterson,Gerald Briscoe..and so many other legends..

  • The MAN!!!!

  • Bobby Heenan is a class act. My friend interviewed him and he treated him like he was an old friend and not just some fan. And it shows what a class act he is going to independents supporting kids trying to break in

  • Heenan and Monsoon hosting Prime Time Wrestling back in the 80's was some of the greatest TV ever made and the primary reason I became a wrestling fan. Sharpest wit in the business, which is not surprising since he is "The Brain" after all.

Keep fighting the good fight, Bobby. We love you and miss you.

  • Love that after everything that he's been through in the last few years Bobby is still The Brain. God Bless him, he's awesome.

  • bobby heenan made everything he did look so easy. i loved his comments he made to mean gene during the hogan/andre press conference during the wrestlemania 3 promo. he was very funny very good on the mic and when the wwe put him with flair it was like peanut butter and jelly. anybody he managed looked good with him there was not one wrester he managed that didnt belong with him.

  • he has and will be the best in the mic ever wwf and in wcw i loved him with rude and perfect he is the man oh yea and with rick flair wooooooooo stay strong brain!!!!!!!

  • Hes still funny as hell great!

  • God Bless Bobby. My dad died of cancer in 1992. He lived longer than dr's expected. I know how bad cancer is. My prayers are with him and his family. Anyone saying he sounds drunk get a life.

  • Heenan had throat and mouth cancer that's why he's talking like that

  • i credit my vocab to the likes of guys like bobby heenan.this guy was equiped with legendary bars.

  • Bobby was meant to be coming over to the UK for a convention at the end of Jan, he was obviously still ill... i hope bobby all the best, i really hope he can overcome the problems and enjoy the rest of his life

  • What happened to Heenan?

  • His Illness deeply saddens me nooone and I mean that sincerely not Jerry Lawler as younger people have seen him as a commentator.. Not even Lawler for me have come close to the best which is the Brain... Please get well Bobby! Punisher.

  • hope all goes well for bobby, best wishes

  • bobby went to hooters lol

  • Bobby is back in hospital with an infection in his reconstructed jaw. Best wishes and all the prayers to the Brain.

  • I just found out like hours ago. When did he go to the Hospital ?

  • On December 11, 2009 Bobby Heenan was hospitalized at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL after an examination of his rebuilt jaw found an infection that needed to be treated. Heenan will now miss his scheduled appearance at the K&S Wrestlefest event in New Jersey this weekend. Heenan will remain hospitalized until the infection is eradicated.

  • @depper So that's why he's not talking so well here?

  • @CelesteK In comparison to the fact that he could of died a change in voice isn't the highest price.

  • @jaryd12345 I know that.

  • @CelesteK Sorry, I got confused as to the comment to which you were replying, carry on, lol

  • @jaryd12345 It's okay. I was talking to depper. :) I honestly didn't know that he had cancer in in his throat and they removed part of his jaw. I actually thought that he must had a stroke. :(

  • @CelesteK I believe that he had throat cancer and that is what changed his voice.

  • Bobby The Brain Heenen. The BEST heal announcer of them all. Jesse The Body Ventura was a close second. But nobody could come up with a quip faster than "the Brain"

  • We love you, Bobby! He was the BEST wrestling manager of all time as well as the best wrestling HEEL color commentator of all time.

  • @downpat20, I used to boo him as a heel, but later I found him to be funny. It's awful sad what he's went through, with his throat problems and now his jaw has to be rebuilt. Get well soon, Bobby.

  • God Bless you Bobby Good with his Voice talking for America,Lol.

  • i hope throat cancer wont shut him up at least the late gorrilla monsoon didnt

  • he is not hammered or drunk he is still recovering from throat cancer which is why he sounds drunk

  • dude is he hammered here lol

  • I thought the WWF was fake. Why does this man seem so punch drunk?

  • He had some health problems.

  • Heenan had throat cancer. His voice changed cause of surgery on his throat.

  • Was it a stroke or is he trashed??

  • Both mother fucker !

  • Comment removed

  • If it's heenan you're asking about, it's fucking throat cancer..he even said it in this video

  • The music at the beginning reminds me of Legends of the Hidden Temple

  • bobby makes a good point if any of us was married to hillary we would all have a monica

  • all commentators should take notes he was, is, and all ways will be the greatest get better bobby!

  • Bobby Heenan is the mold of what a color commentator should be

  • Bobby Heenan and Gorilla Monsoon best team ever!

Monsoon and Jesse Ventura, second best ever!

  • heenan tenay and shiavonie

  • nice pc interviewer guy.. take it easy buddy and have fun with the opportunity.. laters

  • Bobby and Gorrila the best commentary team ever. Thoughts?

  • Bobby Heenan was the greatest heel manager of the WWF, close second respectfully goes to Jimmy Hart.

    In my opinion,anyway.

  • yeah but Cornette was up there

  • I'll go a step further and say Heenan was the best manager of all time. In fact, I believe only Jimmy Hart and Cornette come close. Yes, I do know history, and I've heard plenty of old promos by The Grand wizard and Albano. Heenan blows em all away.

  • Bobby Heeenan is a Legend, WITHOUT A DOUBT....THE GREATEST MANAGER IN THE WRESTLING BUSINES....PERIOD!!!!. I don't give a flying fig what anyone says, he's the best. Best promos, best commentary, he could shoot on the best, put over the best. You are the best Bobby, stay strong!!!!

    The Rated "R" Wrestling Guru

    MrCaperMan

    nWo 4-Life

  • i soooooooo agree....no homo....but i love booby the brain heenan.....the greatest ever...the funniest person in general in the business.....he always has something funny to say lol

  • @MrCaperMan the brain was certainly one of a kind wasn't he?

  • @MrCaperMan So true. As a commentator, the brain used to have me rolling with his one liners.

  • @MrCaperMan Umm, you realize he was an actor just like the rest of them, right?

  • @MrCaperMan You sir get at humnbs up from me, Bobby and Gorilla were one of the best commentators back in the wwf days. And today no one compares to the both of them. WIsh i could meet the guy, even after all those surgeries, the man still has the same old sense of humor hahaha. Bobby The Brain Hennan aka The Weasel haha. Best wrestling manager, and commentator.

  • @Felixg1979

watch survivor series 93' - bobby's greatest hits in that one. watch him.

  • This guy should have his own star on Hollywood's "Walk". He's sure as hell funnier than 95% of the Hollywood entertainers.

  • HOW VERY TRUE!! Nice way to put it. He was equally hilarious while in the AWA, prior to going to the WWF.

  • Heh, still as funny as ever. My favourite manager of all time

  • I agree with Heenan that wrestling is completely over. The business has been outed, so many many people can't think of it as believable anymore. It will take some special writer to really make it believable.

  • Bobby was the orginial thug lol. I never knew anyone actually shot at him. What crazy ignorant people out there to shoot at this lovely man. He is such a nice person I can't imagine anyone even wishing him harm.

  • "wanna make a hormone? dont pay her" haha legend

  • Bobby, I love you, you are the man, but when asked about JJ Dillion, you didn't seem to think too much about him as a manager. JJ managed a world champ, world tag team champs, and a U.S. champ simultaneously. Also, you managed many of J.J.'s leftovers....Flair, Anderson, Blanchard, Luger, John Studd. Again, I love Heenan, he just should have respected Dillion for that matter.

  • In that regard, I can respect J. J. as well. However, Bobby has the authority to say that. Considering that in the AWA, Heenan managed a world champ, tag team champs, and intercontinental champions in the WWE. In other words, he managed Nick Bockwinkel, AWA Champion, Bockwinkel and Ray Stevens, the AWA tag team champs. Finally, both Mr. Perfect and Ric Rude. Also Andre and Haiku as the WWE champs. Therefor, in this regard, bobby's comments can be as justified as the comments you made.

  • I guess you are correct, and Bobby has the authority to say that, it's just that I took it as he didn't think J.J. did much as a manager.

  • wish800, the heenan family comes from bobby taking the name from the manson family in the late 60's when he was in the awa, the whole family idea began to end around the time andre the giant died, after that the whole family thing was not mentioned as much...with the passing of gino marella(gorilla monsoon), the family angle was all but gone..

  • is he still in a coma?

  • I alwayz wondered whut had happened to Tha Heenan Family. when Mr. Perfect blew up, Rick Rude wuz gone. And I remember seein WWF magazine cover featurin Rude, Perfect, & Heenan about sum controversy in tha camp. Doez any1 have tha scoop on that?

  • Hilarious interview. Good interviewer too.

  • A true character!!

  • Amazing entertainer I wish him the best... so damn funny!

  • love Heenan!

  • To this day knowbody can touch heenan/monson when it comes to commentating. NO ONE!

  • hell yeah man i agree with you monsoon and heenan rule

  • Ventura was my fave commentator - Hennan was (IS) class tho! :)

  • I loved Bobby Heenan in his day. He's definitely my favourite commentator especially in the wwf with monsoon. some of the stuff he said was a lot wittier than anything these guys today can come up with. true legand

  • Well said. 'The Brain' was hilarious and his chemistry with Monsoon was classic!

  • i swear there will never be another like the brain...he was GOLD

  • @cs00024 He still is

  • I agree with his opinion about wrestling being over. Those days of Kayfabe were magic and we'll never get them back.

  • It annoys me when commentators nowadays try to immitate Bobby heenan because they are destined to fail miserably.

  • In Minnesota he was in the AWA in the early 80s. He was a great personality. He was always on the villains side. He could actually wrestle too. A real legend. He was known as Bobby the weasel.

  • Heenan actually came to the AWA way back in the 1960's.

  • "I didn't want my book.... to be like the bible where you have to turn to page 88 to get an answer" hahahahahahahaaa There will only ever be one Bobby "Brain" Heenan!

The funniest, greatest commentator & manager of all time and that there will ever be.

No matter what the match was, when The Brain was commentating, he had my full attention.. he never failed to make me laugh.

Bless you Bobby Heenan, you legend!

Hey, if Bobby Heenan was the president of America, there'd be NO fucking around.

  • Only Brain could spout pure nonsense and make it sound profound. This is a great upload, a great interviewer here with Brain. The evil genius Vince McMahon is still selling garbage and getting paid for it in gold.

Brain, we took you for granted, thought you would be the same forever.

    Brain--A++

    Grand Wizard--A+

    Freddie Blassie--A+

    Jim Cornette-A

    Jimmy Hart--D

  • Too bad you never saw Jimmy Hart in Memphis back in the 1970's. Many called him the greatest and most entertaining manager in wrestling. Like when he screamed to Lance Russell to call the police because someone was being kidnapped (I think it was by Jerry Lawler).

  • Hi Bela:

Many of us thought Jerry (The King) Lawler had nothing to offer outside of the Andy Kauffman storyline. With Jimmy Hart, either you loved his style or saw nothing in it. We saw the big zero.

  • Mr Fuji? Hart was ok. Cornette was poo.

  • Jim Cornette was funny. Always thought Fuji was a better showman as a wrestler. And "Sister Sherri" was great both as manager and wrestler.

How do you rate Captain Lou Albano, welsh?

  • the greatest manager ever

  • A guy in the dugout from Parts Unknown... hahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!

  • Bobby hasn't missed a beat! I sure hope he recovers fast and lives for 100 more years.

  • agreed i love the brain and have for nearly over the 2 and a half decades i've been watching wrestling. from his manager days (in which i still believe him to be the greatest manager of all time). his surprise wrestling matches and his broadcasting days. i love this guy he has it all to become a true icon in wrestling. keep living life to the fullest bobby and never change ^_^.

  • What I found the most fascinating was the way Bobby handled the "How did it feel to do the WWE battle royal even and the crowd's reaction" question. You can tell that Bobby was conflicted on how to answer the question - to either joke-it-off or answer honestly. I really liked how he answered it honestly and let his feelings and opinions flow freely- he was both happy to be back with good fans and real athletes as well as sticking it to the remarkably poor ECW.

    I really hope he recovers.

  • LMAO!!! Man, the Brain's still got it

  • the man is a genius

  • watched him since the 60s. God bless this guy.

  • what happen to him ,,, he looks skinny and very different

  • He's recovering from throat cancer I do believe.

  • Exactly. He had throat cancer, but, thank God, he kicked cancer's ass.

  • It is throat cancer he is recovering from.He was using some of the money from his wrestling/manager/commentator career to make sure his daughter had health insurance coverage.

  • the best times in wwf was wen bobby heenan and gorrilla monsoon did the commentary he played the weasel perfectly

  • thr bran the best wrestling manger ever thanks bobby
