You guys should read "The Forgotten Highlander" by Alastair Urquhart. It's his experience as a Scottish/British soldier who gets captured in Singapore. For the next three and a half years he would be forced into Slave Labour. He survived The Hellfire Pass, The Death Railway in Burma, The Bridge on the River Kwai, The unfortunate trip of the hellship "Kachidoki Maru" and the Brutality and Sadism of the Japanese Imperial army. But he was an advisor to the Chinese Nationalist government’s Ministry of Information. The section was propaganda section which was established by KMT (Kuomintang, Chiang Kai-shek) in China during the War. Timperley was paid by the propaganda section for writing the book.

Chinese people called CPC, Mao soldiers, 共匪 which means communists pirates because they raped many women, plundered many towns, and murdered people. Actually, Chinese commanders admitted many soldiers’ these acts at least a week after they visited a new town. Japanese soldiers did not comit most of crimes, Chinese soldiers did.

They were not high moral military. They joined to the military because they could eat everyday and robbery. In tradition of China, people used to be killed as if they were a worm by soldiers for their victory. In other words, Chinese civilians were never protected by any authorities during any war.

He made exactly one mention of the Battle of Nanking during a lecture delivered at Yan’an six months after the conflict, reproduced in On Protracted War. Chairman Mao criticized the Japanese for failing to annihilate Chinese troops after having surrounded them.

@undertakerRach The Japanese actually tried to time their attack so that the moment they declared war within minutes Japanese War Planes would be overhead in Hawaii. However, due to mix ups in communications with the Japanese Imperial Navy, the planes were launched early. The US did understand the Japanese Strategy, Japan was hungry to be the Super Power in Asia. The Foolish Japanese should've played at diplomacy instead of attacking the United States.

You can't abuse Japan because there are no prove Japan guilty about the Nanking Massacre. The Chinese always show no evidence of any vigorous critical attempt to distinguish between valid primary materials and other materials: photographs, for instance, which are known to be fabricated, or from different areas and different times, continue to be used to prove Japanese guilt in the winter of 1937-38 at Nanjing.
Though, many teachers have taught the massacre to kids in schools in China.

@undertakerRach you obviously know nothing about this war, there is unavoidable proof that japan did this, my great grandad was a british soldier that got captured in burma and was put into forced labour camps, where anyone that stopped working was executed or beaten on the spot. then he was sent to a concentration camp where he was intentionally starved by the captives out of pure entertainment.

@undertakerRach i will admit, there is some proof japan did not do these attrocities, but their is even MORE proof japan did do this. i've heard japanese scientists that conducted those evil experiments speak out, some feel regret were others were glad of what they did to those human "guinepigs". and yestarday at a british anneversary of VJ-day. the japanese prime minister publicly apologised in front of a 6000 strong crowd for the pain and suffering the japanese empire caused.
