The founders of our country, including George Washington and Thomas Jefferson often referred in speech and writing to the importance of that separation. Of course, that was when America was an idealistic project of some open-minded forward-thinkers. Now it's been bastardized into a commercial empire that kills brown people in the name of a mythical white skinned blue eyed Jesus.

I am saying that the members of the US military that I have spoken with online or met in person are mostly angry rednecks who believe that they are on the "correct" side of a holy war, although their leaders know it's all about oil. Jesus was from the middle east, and probably had dark skin, eyes, and hair. I said "MYTHICAL" in reference to all the Jesus posters and paintings in the USA that show Jesus as having light skin, blue eyes, and light brown / dirty blonde hair. Does this enlighten you?

No one. markbaland, how can you talk about open-mindedness when you yourself are not open to the public reading of prayer in a, yes brace yourself, in a senate of a country founded in Judeo-Christian princples? Being "open" to different cultures and ideas is called "open" mindedness (That should be obvious). Being less open to different ideas and cultures is called "closed" mindedness (which should also be obvious). You are self-contradicting.

This is a country where the people decide what happens. If the people want prayer in the Senate, then there will be prayer in the Senate.
