  • Wow...this had very little animation...didn't see that coming. Claus is my favorite character, and he totalliy wasn't in this enough!!

I wonder how long it takes him to put on all those markings.

  • Love it!

  • i love the snes and ps1 versions of this game but i think i pick the ps1 version not because of better graphics no im not like that. the battle system in the original is amazing a but the updated one makes it alot better and you also can get the second actual fighter in the game suzu!

  • hate to say this but the snes version of this song is so much better

  • this would be a sick tv show

  • its a shame this game was never released outside of japan. one of the greatest rpgs ever that we never got to experience on console...only emulators, but at least we have an awesome fan translation!! :D

  • best Tales game ever! Just cuz of In-dig-nay-shion!

  • Two words. FUCKING GREAT.

  • Tales of Phantasia is easily up there among my top favorite RPGs of all time, its just an amazing game, and its a shame we never got the game until the GBA port. But oh well I actually played the Translated rom for the SNES at some point and recently aquired the fan translation of the PSX version. its an absolutely marvelous game I gotta say ^^

  • If the SNES-CD (originally named SFC Playstation) plan would've went through with Sony as originally planned, then perhaps this version of Tales of Phantasia would have been the original, and not the remake.

    Love this song.

  • Great opening, the original was on SNES.

  • is this better than tales of symphonia? on Gamecube

  • @stuna210 I think both are awesome, I didn´t play it trough but i like it a little :D I think its the best since its the first and original one try the snes version :d

  • @stuna210 Personally, I would have to say no, although I only have the GBA version.

  • @somedamnfangirl So what other system is it on?

  • @stuna210 It was originally released for the Super Famicom (the Japanese version of the SNES), then the PS1 port, then the GBA port in 2006, I think.

  • @somedamnfangirl Don't forget the PSP port as well as the most recent and best version that's bundled with Narikiri Dungeon X.

  • @HotPocketEXE I've never heard of that one, or Narikiri Dungeon X!

  • @somedamnfangirl Sorry to say this, but the GBA version of Tales of Phantasia is plain horrible compared to both the SNES and PSX ones. Voice acting and music leave a lot to be desired, but the mayour flaw was the gameplay: the characters in battle move really slow comparing with the other consoles, making the awesome and dynamic fights from SNES and PSX something dull and and annoying.

  • @cursedex Yeah, I always felt that the GBA version had battles that were too slow-paced.

Now if Namco weren't so RPGphobic, they could have brought over the original SNES or PSX versions instead. I hope that one day, all of the Tales games get their fair shake.

  • heh when the song started i heard at one point

"dont go in.... in the MALL!!!"

  • I wonder why they show the flying horse, with four legs in the op ? it has eight...

  • noo dhaos is the final boss but in the final he's not an evil person he only need the yggdrassil power for his planet

  • The ends do not justify the means. To him he's trying to save his planet, but to the people of the planet in the game, he's killing people and attacking towns.

  • im kinda lost is dhaos the evil charecter in the anime what the hell

  • yea

  • oh ty

  • suzu is soooooooooooooooooooo awesome!

(but she looks like a baby)

    sniff...........sniff

  • I loved the anime of this ^^ but I'd really like to play the game except its for the gameboy advanced, so there wouldn't be any voices, would there?

  • nvm, I got my question answered when I bought it, lol so I guess there's not really any voices, ahwell

  • lol yeah but the games still totally worth it to play.

  • @CheriiChan Totally is. I recently played the fan-translated PSX version on my PSP, so awesome (except for all the crashing and freezing with Arche's spells)

  • Comment removed

  • Who is the guy in the turban?

  • that's Morrison

  • Really?? He looks so..sinister

  • well if you look at him in the snes opening, when he fights against dhaos, his battle sprite looks really pissed

  • IN DIG NAY SHUN!!!!! xD

  • dude! i only ever played that game on the GBA! which is the original version? Arche (the pink haired witch) is so hot. and claude/clause (i forgot which is the summoner [guy in robes and hat doing hand seals] looks so sweet! this is faved!

  • dot dot dot ... wow. archie is really pretty, i drew her once and it turned out REALLY good.

  • i found this version of the song AND put it on my ipod!!!

  • Would ya like to tell me where can I find it?

  • limewire.

it's really hard to track down though,

    so good luck xD

  • i sooo want this version of this song!!!!!!!!!!!

  • is this called the dream will not die?

  • Indeed it is. The original name is Yume wa Owaranai. But, come to think, the ful PSX version i have is really different from this one, even so, is more like the SNES version

  • wow this game is so awesome, this animation is amazing

  • I love this game!

Pena que só achei ele em japones, pq meu inglês é melhor que meu jap.
