The first symph metal band I heard was Nightwish, then I moved on to Delain. I bought April Rain last week and had to dive for the lyric booklet when I heard Marco to check I was hearing it right. The guy is an absolute legend...with an amazing beard :P

I believe I may have been wrong there, because Charlotte did sing on the first album, as a matter of fact. Thank you for the correction. While she wasn't the first vocalist of the band, she has in fact sung on both of the full-length albums offered by Delain. So I was wrong by suggesting that Delain had a "new" vocalist for their first album.

To me, Marco and Tony are similar in tones it's hard to tell them appart when they sing in NorthernKings. Marco can sing as smoothly as Tony when he wants to... Tony can yell nearly as gruffly as Marco. How I tell the differance? Tony's accent sounds Finnish, Marco's sounds Celtic. Maybe someone from Britan taught Marco English? Either way, the one thing I love about Marco vs. Tony is Marco hits thoughs high notes and I get chills from raw sensuality. Tony does it and makes me cringe.
