On the previous Texas touchdown Shipley was open for days and could've run for hours without being touched. So you are saying that with 2 time outs that you want us to give Texas the ball back with only a 10 point lead, Shipley ready to tear down the sideline and the horrors that were Bama's onside kick coverage?

Interesting, can you tell me when the Longhorns previous title was before 2005? The 70s? Also, if you want to compare this decade, USC has done more than both programs. Yes if McElroy had gone down, it would've hurt us but not that bad. Notice how UT was a one-man team. Doesn't matter which QB was in there Ingram would've still run all over you, or Trent Richardson. See what happens when you rely on one player? And how many times did McElroy get sacked? And he never had to leave the game.

Texas was a one man team? of course they were!!!! QB is everything to Texas. every team has one position that means more to it than any other. if you have a good QB it can take you everywhere

so yea Texas was dependant on Colt McCoy just like Alabama was dependant on Mark Ingram & Trent Richardson

jesus christ if you take Vince Young out of the Texas team from 2005 USC beats us but we depended on our QB and it took Texas to the top
