Yes the sound quality does change. Some of the equipment at these stations are fairly old, I know this as i work at VOCM

Great job at managing to pick up CFCB, and Gander without any noticeable noise from CBC 640.
Also, do you notice that besides the obious static from the distant signals, the sound quality of each station varies.
