  • Hahah, how the fuck does something fall out of space...? :3

  • @Lashmush The same way that the Star Wars universe has sound in space. :) Hahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaa.

  • its no brilliant work, but u see that it was some walk and its funny either so it doesn't derserve to be that bad votet :D

  • @Benner86th Thank you! Yes, it is no work of art, at all, but a fun project from years gone by. I agree, it shouldn't be hated so much, when most of the haters think that a kick in the testicles is hilarity times 1000. :)

  • lol, luke's voice is perfect.

  • @MagicAccent LOL! Thanks!!

  • I don't know why this clip got so many negatives. It's a very nice crossover.

After all, seeing other crap on the youtube, this movie shines like a diamond.

  • @CabalCorporation Thank you!!! It was just a small and quick project.

I don't think it's THAT bad either, especially with the crap you mention. Most of the negatives haven't even made a video, so, I take them at less than face value. :)

  • nice try, but it fails

  • @anymaru All we can do is try. Sometimes we score, sometimes not.

  • Haha! love it! The "What, the curtains?" Part really cracked me up.

  • @TheDeepEndShow1 Thanks! Be sure to watch MONTY PYTHON AND THE HOLY GRAIL to see the original.

  • brrrljvljjjljvvvvjljv stupid noises brvljljvbrljvlj

  • @loriscel85 ???????

  • "what, the curtains?" *pow* "no, not the curtains, lad"

    lol xD

  • @kriswizzle123 Thanks!!!! =)

  • You stay here... And make sure, "ee" doesn't leave!

    Lol

  • @Get2daKraken YES!!! Glad you liked some of it!!

  • LOL! It's a bit rough, but hilarious - Monty Python's Grail Wars, and it works XD

Need to work on some of the script, though. Leia doesn't have huge... tracks of space, and Luke isn't a prince (that he's aware of). Maybe Leia has big buns of hair.

  • @FascistFrenchman Thanks!! Yeah, I went for as close to the original as possible. However, Carrie Fisher did have Huge......tracts of space. They were taped down during filming. Some of her interviews and stories about that are hilarious!!

I like the huge buns of hair, though!!!!!

  • This sorta ruined the Swamp castle scene...good attempt but its spolit the swamp castle scene completey

  • @Tube11ize I apologize. Not that I am comparing myself to Weird Al, but his songs, though I love them, have ruined the originals for me.

  • Eh. The idea is okay, but it could have been done a lot better. Vader would have killed those incompetant guards.

  • @WMsquared Yes, yes he wold have. Unless his compassion was starting to kick in. Watch MONTY PYTHON AND THE HOLY GRAIL for the original context. Great movie!!

  • Eh. The idea is okay, but it could have been done a lot better.

  • @WMsquared I agree. It was meant to be a treatment for a live action bit. Never got made. A little late, now.

  • oh I get it now. . . I saw it once, didn´t get the python reference. . . now I saw the python one about the grail and whatnot, and now I get the python reference! haha

  • @atgblue1 Cool. As long as someone knows of MONTY PYTHON AND THE HOLY GRAIL, or at least goes to find it after watching this, then I am happy.

  • Wow, what a way to ruin two of the best thing ever made...

  • @Brooktno Sorry you didn't like it. I will talk to Stephen Hawking and see if he knows of a way to get back your four and a half minutes, or transport you back to before you clicked to watch it.

  • @Slowda Great, let me know what he says!

  • @Brooktno He said it is possible, BUT...

Hawking said a spaceship capable of travelling through time - but only forwards - would breach Albert Einstein's theories of relativity.

He dismissed the idea of travelling backwards through time, saying doing so would violate a fundamental rule that cause comes before effect and that such an act could allow people to make themselves impossible, such as if a person travelled back in time and shot thir former self.

    Sorry, I tried.

  • Luke sounds like 2D to me . . .

  • @Insanitycoffee Sorry, I was really going for 3D sound there. :)

(sorry, the 2D reference is totally lost on me.....as far as I know)

  • @Slowda

2D from the band Gorillaz :p

Nice work, I like the video :)

  • @Insanitycoffee I can't believe I didn't pick up on that!! I love The Gorrilaz!!

    Thanks again! :)

  • LOL "Not the bloody Curtains!" :)

  • @TrentVenture LOL!!!! Thank you!!

  • For some reason, I can no longer accept or deny comments here. Once fixed, those that have left comments will be added and responded to.

    Thanks.

  • Nice! very enjoyable humour. lovin Darth 'Ilkley Moor BarT'at' Vader. real cool

  • @BarryTones Thank you very much. I tried. :)

  • Amazing, seriously good homage. I dont know what some people expect, tell em to fuk off and make something emselves, cos I thought you did a bloody marvellous job.

  • @MunkyBo11ecks Thank you!! A quickly done piece after it "hit" me while watching A New Hope and The Holy Grail.

  • Pretty cool mix, I love it!

  • @Trantum666 Thanks!! Just a little something from too many years ago....

  • its a great idea. combining two masterpieces. however it could be produced better. but way to go, experience comes in time. good ideas doesnt come to everyone.

  • @kutlubul Thanks! Seriously!!

Yeah, it was only meant as a treatment, for timing and shots, to do a live action version. Needless to say, that was 5 years ago and the time is not right now. It may come around again within a year, with the 3D releases hitting theaters. We'll see. This sort of took on a life of it's own, but I'm still cool with it. :)

  • @dannooll Awwww, Thanks mom! Just like all those notes you used to put in my lunch box!! You were always there for me. Always telling me my stick figures were works of art. I had no idea you liked Armin van Buuren ft Sharon den Adel - In and Out of Love, though. We really need to talk more.

  • I, for one, think this is funny and very well thought out. Congratulations on creating a wonderful parody!

  • @EternalNation765 Thank you!! I am always happy when someone finds it amusing.

  • LAME

  • @EdM021 LAME, rhymes with FAME, TAME, GAME, SAME, BLAME, AIM, FRAME, FLAME, HAIM, MAME, CAME, DAME, CLAIM, AFFLAME, ASHAME, BALLGAME, BECAME, DECLAIM, DEFAME, DISCLAIM, EXCLAIM, ACCLAIM. There are more but too many to NAME.

Unless, of course, you meant LAME as in Gold Lame': Noun: a fabric interwoven with threads of metal.

Since I put more thought in to my reply of your comment, I will leave it at that.

  • Too many idiots confusing 'like' with 'dislike' on this one methinks ;D

  • @lesserknowndeadman81 LOL! Thanks!!

  • not funny, monty python is,,this is shit :)

  • @juckinfunkie Thank you for that insightful, well thought out, completely constructive criticism.

I would give WAY more credit to a person if they had actually created any videos of their own, but since you haven't, I will dismiss this as I have so many others.

This wasn't meant to be great art and I succeeded, I guess. Let me dig around and see if I can find your time to give back to you. Your time spent making your comment is non-refundable, but I don't think you spent much writing it.

  • @Slowda perhaps the scientist there does not realize that this is mostly the same lines as holly grail very original rewrite

    D, ,

  • @DSNightwalker Thank you.

As I have stated to so many others, this was done purely for my own enjoyment and as a treatment for something that could have been a funny live action short 5 years ago. (wow has it really been that long?)

I love that so many people have viewed this. Some have liked it. Some have hated it. But it is still out there, doing it's thing.

  • @Slowda just do what you do people will watch what ever crap they want . as long as your happy with it who cares right?!

    D, ,

  • @DSNightwalker Exactly!

  • SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE!

  • I understand this video perfectly well, I have watched Monty Python and the Holy Grail several times, so I understand the context. But I still dislike this video because it was poorly made.

  • @ydissac12345 Which is totally cool. This was done solely as a treatment for something I wanted to do as live action. That boat has sailed and this video has taken on a life of its own.

Totally cool that you don't like it. Completely respect that.

  • 450 people are too young to understand.

  • @nicholaswright2006 Thanks! That might explain something......

  • Was amazingly Shit!

  • @total459 I know it isn't anything like not being able to spin a child's baseball bat, while someone can't hold a camera steady shoots it, but I think it is fairly better than shit. Again, I know it isn't great, nor was it meant to be, just something fun.

I will see if I can get your four minutes and twenty-three seconds back. Will be in touch.

  • I thought it was good

  • @rambo1685 Thank you! Good is good. I'll take good. :)

  • I Just want to say that should you die, I would like your parody to think of me as it's own dad... In a very real ...and legally binding sense.

  • @rideronthestormdrain My parody, viewing you as its own dad...in a very real,,,,and legally binding sense, farts in your general direction. Your father was a hamster and your mother smelt of elderberries.

I know it isn't art, nor did I claim it to be, but I should die? Really? From now till my departure, my death shall be on your hands.

  • @Slowda lol, he said 'should you die' not 'you should die', making reference to this scene, just thought you should know that and possibly apologize. Good parody though, works well :)

  • @TatersAnTatoes Thank you SO much for bringing that snafu to my attention. Apology sent and, most of all, meant.

Thank you for your kind comment as well. I do try. :)

  • @rideronthestormdrain I issue to you a very real and bindingly sincere apology. WOW! I read you comment several times and I still saw it as "you should die" not "should you die".

It seems as though my father was a hamster, my mother smelt of elderberries and I am just a twit.

Very sorry and thank you for the comment.

  • Not terrible. Clever concept.

    Diverting post, Slowda.

  • @Aggedor1959 No, not terrible, though could be much better, which I hope to do. Clever concept of copying a brilliant Monty Python bit, though.

  • What the curtains?

  • @MrBazookaHead NO Not The Curtains!!!! :)

  • good work on the vid

  • @TheWaltzerboy Thank you! :)

  • I like the animation bit in the beginning, I think Gilliam would like it too...the rest was rubbish :P

  • @wanderbear78 Meh, it's all good. I'm most proud of the animation and the time it took to put it together doing real animation instead of flash. The rest really is a mock up to something I wanted to do with real actors but couldn't seem to get ANY of the costumers in my area willing to give it a go without some sort of major compensation. One day I will do it, till then, you get this. :P

  • @Slowda

I think at this point even the most bonkers of costumers know better than to do Monty Python sketches. It is a bit of a general faux pas, after all. While people do still like the monty python stuff, openly quoting/making references to it will generate groans and an occasional slap to the back of the head.

    Vaguely amusing open animation, however.

  • @shimazu32 Sure. I think when I first came up with this I could have rounded some up. Now it is far too long after and has run its course.

  • NOT HAPPY JAN

  • @Blashada And Not Happy Greg, Marsha, Peter, Bobby, Cindy, Alice, Mike and Carol?

  • A lot of free time on your hands, eh?

A great MP sketch - and who doesn't love Star Wars.

Although - a bit like asking "Why The Chicken Crossed The Road" and then stretching the punchline out for 4:28 - killing any resemblance to humor.

  • @WayneYonke Thanks for noticing.

Really, though, the Swamp Castle bit is the same length. Difference being the Monty Python group were trained actors and I am not. There you have it.

  • @Slowda Great job. Hey - I've got nothing creative on Youtube.

  • Great interpretation, well written, well done :D two great stories nicely (yet awkwardly in a funny way) mashed together

  • @14597ojai Thank you. I, humbly, tried. Would still ike to do a better version, but, hey, 301.245 is nothing to sneeze at......

  • @Slowda Really??? ACHOO.

Manson had followers, too. Didn't make him funny.

  • @WayneYonke You kidding? Shirley Manson is AWESOME!!!

Seriously, I could really give a shit if you like my stuff, you watched it, so score for me. Oh, and for the record, I never claimed to be funny. Just saying.

  • "She's got huuuge...tracts of land!"

  • @ANNIEPANNIES I love that line in the film!!!

  • @ANNIEPANNIES Huge tracts of space, actually...

  • This is silly.. exactly in the spirit of Monty Python.

  • @Wowbagger86 Why thank you. I heard from the Ministry of Silly Videos that this was in line for induction to it's hallowed halls. ;)

  • Real Darth Vader would probably choke them!

  • @TheAntoninusPius I agree, but since there was no choking in the Monty Python skit, there was none in this.

  • lol rofl

  • @86uthar THANKS!!!!

  • not a bad idea....pretty good effort

  • @herambbarve Yeah, idea was better than the execution, but I'm still pleased enough with it. Thank you.

  • You did a great job with this!

  • @EmoAngelTwentyThree Awesome! Thank you so much!!

  • gr8 job.

  • @cruptbside Thank you very much.

  • this is a cute idea- the animation bit at the beginning is the best part, I think. Anyone who knows Terry Gilliam's animations on the Flying Circus must surely get that.

I don't care what anyone else says- that was REALLY clever.

    Well done!

  • @composerdoh Thank you. I agree. The animation was my favorite as well. I drew each piece, put it all in photoshop, layered it.....it had all of my love and attention. The rest just isn't what I wanted, but it is what I could accomplish at the time.

Terry Gilliam is one of my heroes!!

  • @Slowda Did you delete my comment? I can't find it, so I don't even remember what I wrote.

But I did rather enjoy your treatment. Thanks again! (If I said thanks the 1st time)

  • @composerdoh Not at all. I think I replied and totally forgot to approve your comment. Sorry about that and THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!! :)

  • @Slowda haha- no prob- I forgot you had it set on approval only.

  • I liked this, but then again, I'm drunk as hell. +++

  • @muottaaja That's OK. I have ADD so I only read part of your comment.

    I'm glad you liked it!!!

  • Sweet man :)

  • @RetroMonkeyBreeder Thank you. If even one person remotely enjoys this, it makes it cool.

  • Works!

  • @scasey1960 Thanks!

  • Nice tribute to Terry Gilliam.

  • @spacecowboy5000 Thank you. I really enjoy his work.

  • Hahahahah this brings back memories :)

  • @HonestEars Thank you for the laughs.

  • stupid

  • @GlennRoxWyo Wow, a one word review by a fantastic supporter of the extreme right wing and the Tea Party. I am just honored you had the time in your busy day to stop by and view a little of this and leave your resounding response. I would take your review to heart if it weren't coming from someone who has their head buried in a hole.

Thank for the view, though! Keeps my numbers going up!

  • @Slowda BAHAHAHA! YOUR COMMENT WAS FUNNIER THEN THE FILM! liked just because you shut him down so badly =)

  • @slashmon1 Thank you!!!!! LOL!

  • @Slowda now that is how you kill a troll

  • @EffectiveKill Thank you very much. Time to put the mental shotgun back on the rack for later use.

  • haha... I love it.

One on't cross beams gone owt askew on treadle.

  • @scarredman42 Thank you!

  • THIS IS EPIC!!!!!!!!

  • @thehousefox Thank you! As long as it isn't an Epic Fail! :)

  • @Slowda No, I implied epic WIN!

  • @thehousefox SHWEET!

  • Ahh Brilliant! One of the best scenes in a python film executed to near perfection!

a few nit pics, but you are not ILM!

  • @LuxVertas Thank you very much!

No, I am a far cry from ILM, though I would love to be there. Got to visit once.

  • @Slowda What does ILM mean?

  • @Shockwave474 ILM stands for Industrial Light and Magic. It is George Lucas' special effects company created to make the effects in Star Wars and has now blossomed into a gigantic company. I have a good friend who works there. I am jealous of her. :)

  • Very funny! I like it very much :D

    Great work!

    ~ Ppvl007

  • @ppvloo7 Thank you. I appreciate the comment!!

  • @ppvloo7 Thank you!!

  • vewwy good!

  • @EasilyHated Thank you vewwy much!!

  • This is great! Really clever.

  • @SuperPanda1971 Thank you!!

  • I have long since been a big fan of Monty Python so I have a finely tuned ear when it come to the rhythm and the script of a Monty Python Sketch. This is perfect and does credit to Monty Python. If people don't like it they are likely young and lack the finesse of appreciating a Monty Python Parody, besides sad to say most don't have the attention span of a gnat.

  • @Bobofet241 You are too kind. But thank you!! It really makes me feel good.

  • I thought this was very well done! It sure made me laugh. Thank you

(Daddy I don't want that) lol

  • @Bobofet241 Thank you very much!!

  • @Slowda Most Welcome, you earned it.

  • is the whole part with darth vader and luke made by monty python?

  • @PKFlashBeta Yes. The lines are all from MONTY PYTHON AND THE HOLY GRAIL. The Swamp Castle scene. I was watching it one day and thought, this might be funny.

  • lmao, this is funny as...

  • @Spinobreaker Thanks! I appreciate it as much as... :) Really, thanks.

  • This guys should get a freaking medal.

Reamining Pythons should salute you youv'e done them an honor.

  • @TehGingjaNinjaOne Wow, I stand humbly aside and marvel at your comment. It made my day!

  • Simply marvellous :D

  • @Pirlinetor Thank you!! :)

  • One question - why??? do you not have time to conceive / produce something of value?

  • @armandin2048 Well, it's like this. I don't have the time at the moment, but I do plan on it. Possibly as a live action. I have calls out. :) Conceiving, well, I do what I like and I happened to like this idea, as have others....others not so much. But there you have it, the answer to all your questions, or at least the ones you just posed to me.

  • @armandin2048 Now re-post that on 99% of youtube videos.

  • @NakedJack I agree. It may not be the best, but it sure beats the hell out of a lot of what's out here.

  • "what, the curtains???" lol

  • @kikodawgz Thanks a bunch!!!!

  • Why wouldn't ya want to join the empire? we got huge... tracts of space!

  • @quidnick Not much better than huge tracts of.....space, except maybe cokies. I hear the dark side has cookies.

  • good effort. could do with a bigger budget ! but good idea

  • @boddahdidit Yeah, bigger budget and more time/hands....I still think I will have another go of it one day.

  • Terrible, amateur renditions of Monty Python sketches awkwardly shoehorned into the Star Wars universe? AWESOME!

  • @TheCarrottopfan Comments that can be taken as negative or construed as positive.....BRILLIANT!

  • @Slowda I apologize if my meager attempt at levity wasn't up to your clearly high standards.

  • @TheCarrottopfan I totally took it as a compliment. My standards are so high I can look up and see a snake slither overhead.

  • You should add a foot note about the Star Trek cameo...x3 "Space...the final frontier", haha.

  • @DarthxxRane You know, I probably should. I may have to add that into the description notes.

  • space...the final frontier! I think this is a perfect mix of Star Wars and Monty Python. Great work!

  • @clpearson991 Thank you! Thank you very much. :in my best Elvis voice: It still makes me smile a little to come back and see this.

  • haha love the "No Luke I am your father" hilarious combination of Monty Python and Star Wars!

(Good job on the beginning as well)

  • @SappyRomantic Thanks! I tried. I still really like the beginning as well. It was hard work doing the opening animation frame by frame but it paid off.
