  • geez the hawks have had some busts. josh childress, shelden williams, acie law and marvin williams but they still seem to be improving at a rapid rate

  • i'm surprised this bust hasn't being traded yet

  • SOOOOO UNDERRATED

  • bust

  • @davis352 its true bro, I just feel like he could dominate at that level. So it kills me when they say bust. I'm glad he doesn't pay attention tho.

  • I've known Marvin for years bro. N gratitude is not something he lacks. If anything dude is too humble, or maybe its that they pay Joe, n josh CRAZY money to be stars. So he takes a back seat. Happens like that sometimes. But if he had that killer instinct nobody in the league could touch him. Marv is a boss bro

  • @biglewzer360 marv has always had a pass first mentality.

  • NBA's own Donald Duck . Go Hawks.

  • Put Marv on a team like Boston he would explode

  • BUST

  • he plays a bad role in his team they got him spoting up nd shooting 3s he needs to be more like a slaher ariza type of player

  • Marvin is a bust

  • Comment removed

  • Hmmm would do good with the Cavs, now that lbj left with his tail between his legs

  • I played hoops with this man at my local ymca today.

  • #VIDEOPOSTERID# I'm only 5 9 and I dunk all the time in official games. I m in my high school's ball team and my dunking wows everyone (the girls haha). It was seriously extremely easy, I just used the nba training workout over at 50 inch vertical (dot) com - I m sure you can probably do it too

    Marvin Williams Mix {HF}

  • what happened to this Marvin Williams? He plays like he is scared now.

  • I can't wait for the day that the world will just STFU about the 2005 draft. It's almost 5 yrs later & ppl are still acting like little bitches about it. The decisions were made, it is what it is! Some of you only hate Marvin because of how he was drafted, not his skills or something relevant. Do you honestly think CP3 & DWill would be where they are in the league had they gone to the Hawks instead? Also, Marvin does what he can as 6th scoring option. There aren't too many plays set up for him.

  • @MissToyToy24 actually chris paul would be where he is on the hawks. he came to a hornets team that was just as bad as the hawks. the hornets won 18 games the year before he was drafted. baron davis was being shipped out the next year. HA

  • Former Bremerton Knight :) aha. big ups Marvin and good job for not listenting to the teachers who said you should find a career to fall back on aha

  • just one of the many underrated superstars on the hawks people watch out for them hawks

  • man i played ball with marvin. he lives kinda by me too hes sick

  • Marvin is good he struggles with stats because he has superstars such as Johnson, smoove and bibby and rising star horford and not to mention crawford

  • This guy has superstar potential. Very interesting guy to keep an eye on in the league.

  • chris paul, deron willaims, and danny granger makes this clown look like a joke

  • hawks will be phoenamenal this season

  • the hawks starting lineup is all stacked, we just need more performance from the bench. HAWKS ALL DAY!!!

  • wow, hawks gonna have a good team: Bibby Pg, Joe Sg, M-Williams sf, Smith Pf, crawford 6th man, just need a center and its a dominant team. Horford is gonna be good too.

  • the hawks have made all ya'll doubters shut up as they just keep on getting better, crawford is going to be sick this year and joe smith is a very solid pick up, josh smith and marvin williams will have career years bc the pressure for them to carry so much of the load will be diminished due to our quality offseason acquisitions

  • so underrated

  • hahahah!!!so why u commenting this video then?

  • Dude shows his potential here and there. I think he needs the right coaching/system for him to excel. I'd love to see him in D'Antoni's system (sorry Hawks fans).

  • I was thinking the same thing quickfingerz, he'd be great in New York. Maybe a Chandler for Williams type of swap?

  • hes too streaky

  • for some reason i take marvin as a guard

  • i would take marvin any day over CP3 and D-Will. CP3 does have mad skills but he also plays like a bitch and flops. D-Will is sick but Marvin is the best defender in the league (watch next season and prove me wrong). this next season he'll get serious all-star consideration.

  • dude r joking when u said marvin williams is the best defender in the league? he is good but not the best. watch the video wherer tyrus thomas posted him up like a kid and dunked on him and marvin out weighs tyrus by 15 pounds. yeah. best defender getting dunked on by someone who weighs less than him. u gotta b joking.

  • alright all your basketball credibility went out the window with that comment....you know as well as I know that if chris paul or deron williams were available to the Hawks, you would give up marvin in a second. the only reason you make ridiculous comments like that is because that scenario will never happen as long as chris or deron are in the league...fucking retarded

  • hes just got to grow up and learn. you can see all the skills are there to be a great player

  • man Marvin Willaims the truth!!! the Franchise player for the hawks

  • There's no doubt they should have taken CP3 or DWill but I wouldn't call Marvin Williams a total bust. He averages 14 ppg and starts for a team that finished 4th in the East. Just because he was the 2nd overall pick doesnt mean he sucks. If he was drafted in the latter half of the first round everyone would think he was a good player. He will have a good and long career.

  • plus no one expected CP3 or DWill to blow up like that or they would have taken them. Everyone was worried about Paul's size (or lack thereof) and Williams weight influx

  • and hes still 22 years old...

  • i'd take marvin any day. chris paul is very skilled but he plays the flopping game, and i don't want bitches on my team (we're not the celtics). deron williams is fucking sick, but not as good defensively. marvin was the hawks' most consistent player offensively and defensively, which is why we really need him back for the playoffs.

  • i know... i bet most ppl dont even get 2 c him.. hell i only c him cos i live n GA n they always on local channels. We neva get on espn or nun.lol

  • marvin went to my school to retire. Bremerton Highschool WA

  • Marvin Didnt go to my school... But I will support him... Olympic High, Silverdale

  • same here. i go to North Kitsap High School, Poulsbo. He was fun to watch. I played a lil basketball with one of his cousins too.

  • shouldve picked chris paul

  • yep, shouldve picked chris paul or deron williams since they really needed a better point guard at that time and not another small forward becuz they had josh childress at that time. stupid hawks. bad pick. bad pick. waste of 1st round 2nd pick. thumbs me up if you agree.

  • yeah cuz utah and new orleans got past the first round, right? you have to watch the hawks play to understand how good he is. he's the hardest worker on the team and gets better every season. hawks are a defensive team and HEALTHY marvin is the only one in the league who can guard LBJ. marvin is determined to prove people like you wrong.

  • Phishfry, you are going to call him a fag and a little bitch for getting upset about being called for a tech. You sound very young and immature by that statement. You might as well call everyone in the league that because that is practically how everyone acts who gets one. Come on you need to grow up my man.

  • You don't understand, Minnesota would have to offer Marvin a contract Atlanta wouldn't be able to afford

    PG: ?/Bassy

    SG: Randy Foye

    SF: Marvin Williams

    PF: Kevin Love

    C: Al Jefferson

    Would be a sick lineup...

  • Comment removed

  • Yes, Minnesota would be the perfect fit for Marvin Williams. Realistically, the Wolves won't be able to atract a tier 1 free agent to Minnesota, they need to go after a guy like Marvin. If I was Minnesota, I would offer him 6 years/60 million.

  • Thats way to big, he aint that type of player yet to deserve a contract like that. Maybe in a few years. If he could avg at least 20 and 9that offer would suit him.

  • This Kid marvin williams has so potential but his not in the right team. he can be a franchise player 4 any struggling team in the nba. i prefer minnesota cuz dey need a swing man like him and if he ever went dere he and Big al will become the frachise players. Dont be surprise if he will be an all star oneday

  • I is a all star but i think hes doing amazing on the hawks. let him be.

  • 00:56 is just ill

  • 0:30 isnt that how Karl Malrone dunked in his days?

  • i met him man it was so cool and ate dinner with him

  • come to olympiakios and have fun with Josh Childress!

  • man.. people been hatin' on marvin since he used to bag groceries at red apple on the eastside, he's always stayed humble and done what it takes to listen and learn... BREM-CITY.. lets get it marvin

  • I'd rather Chris Paul

  • this will be his year

  • he needs to play for another team where he could get the ball more. he still has plenty of upside.

  • I love is dunks

  • come to Olympiakos marvin!

  • whats music ?

  • similar to tyson chandler, just needs a great PG

  • Every one loves to hate on My boy Marvin, its all good he is only going to get better. Lets Go Hawks!

  • 10% from the 3 point arc last season.

  • Check his percentage from the 3pt line now.

  • 1:06 was a major travel.

Horrible footwork. I watched this entire clip and nowhere do you see him take his man off the dribble.

Did I mention this guy SUCKS. Overrated. Potential? You gotta be shittin me. If his fourth year is the same as all his other years, I'm going to post back on this clip and tell you all I told you so.

  • hey srustinlim, i agree that marvin williams isn't a 'great' player, but i ccounted at least twice in the first 2 minutes he took his man off the dribble. call it right man.

  • yea this guys sucks just like bynum

  • You can say he sucks all you want but your watching a NCAA champion, number 2 draft pick after never starting a game in college. Weird that he starts on a team that took the championship Celtics to 7 games... But people just love to hate. But my question is, how can you sit here and say that this man sucks, when your not in the league and im sure you've never played for a prestigious division 1 program? Did you even make your high school varsity team?

Not every player is Bron or Kobe people.

  • sory dude,i voted in the wrong hand!

  • agreed...totally hes a good player plus hes still really young...plues hes a tarheel, that counts for something

  • @vfrieson not every player is lebron or kobe, fair comment, and yeah people do love to hate, but in this case its well deserved. people can sit here and say that this man sucks, because even though he has had enough ability to get into theis prestigious division 1 program, he does not have the proffessionalism and the gratitude for being there that other players do. he has no respect.that is why marvin williams sucks.

  • Comment removed

  • Waitin for that "I Told You so". ha!

    Hi HATERS!

  • I agree. He can't create his own shot, he's got absolutely no vision on the court, and after 3 seasons, he's still not a particularly great defender even though he's got the speed and the strength to match up very well against opposing forwards.

Hell, Al Thornton had similar stats to this guy and the rookie played 8 less minutes than him (that's not even considering the fact Thornton was playing out of position).

This guy is a scrub. No other way around it.

  • marvin williams sucks

  • This is my favorite song by Eminem, and I like basketball, and Marvin is my name cool.

  • he is a great and underrated dunker.

  • I wish he played like that in the Playoffs.

  • Marvin is a beast! He went to UNC and was great and now he's gonna tear it up in the NBA. Go Big Marvin!! Represent the Tar Heels

  • Marvin Williams is very athletic. He will become a very good player in the future

  • go hawks

  • Stop talking crap. He makes more money than you by being as talented as he is. Everyone has room for improvement so stop being haters!

  • late bloomer. he's only 21. hawks still blew it not drafting chris paul.

  • love the bench reaction at 1:29

  • he pulled out the tommy on okur

  • i happy 4 marvin he is doing in every game future superstar

  • childress is a bust to me

  • just waiting for him to break out... then our team will be complete and ready for the franchise second nba title in team history

  • Pachulia is the Rock! # 1 NBA player. Marvin williams right under that! HAWKS FTW!!!

  • Damn Seattle/Tacoma is a good hoops pipeline. With future stars Tony Wroten (Freshman-Garfield), Peyton Siva (Junior-Franklin), Josh Smith (Sophmore-Kentwood), Abdul Gaddy (Junior-Belm. Prep), and Avery Bradley (Junior- Belm.).

    Remember those names.

  • the hawks in 3 years r gunna b sick wit acie law joe johnson al horford marvin williams n josh smith there scary team

  • Josh Smith is the better player. Same size(6'9) but Smith is a much better defender and athlete.

  • Imagine how much sicker the Hawks would be if they drafted better and didn't trde great players.

    PG Chris Paul

    SG Joe Johnson

    SF Josh Smith

    PF Al Horford

    C Pau Gasol

Bench Acie Law, Brandon Roy, J chill, T lue

Now that is wat i call a sick team

  • They could've had Andre Iguodala in '04 but they picked Childress @ #6, AI fell to the 6-ers @ #9

  • just wait. Marvin had a solid year, and will be a fabulous player for years to come

  • I highly doubt that. Your athleticism can only carry you so far. He's got absolutely no range and he can't even dribble the ball well enough to create his own shots.

For all his athleticism, he needs a point guard to really reach superstar status and unfortunately for the Hawks, their best point guard is their combo guard Joe Johnson.

  • he has a nice midrange, can hit the 3 occasionally. he has more range than u think

  • he'll be a star, hes got it.

  • more like josh howard of da mavs

  • hahahaha

i'm friends with this guy's younger cousin

    i'm so honored

  • Marvin is scary good...Got a very bright future.

  • haha i bought a $20 swingman jersey of him on the hawks at modells b4 he started getting good. guess u can call it a bargain.

  • one of my favourite players

  • to tell the truth, the hawks are one of the most talented teams in the NBA and is still considered as one of those bottom teams.

maybe it's the coach, well theyre doing pretty good this year and al horford contributes well to the team so donmai :)

  • its about time. Marvin has a chance to be good

  • Marvin has no idea how good he can be.

He's gotta play with that mean streak more often and he'll be on his way to stardom.

  • he's sick.....damn i saw a hawks game.....is very sick .....and his dunks inmprove the sicknes....he's going to be an all star....

  • From the looks of it, much sooner than that.

  • Marvin will be a stud in a couple of years

  • Wow, this guy reminds me of Durant. Marvin's dunks are wicked!

  • good mix. hawks need a big year from Marvin if they want to make the playoffs.

  • Very nice. Great video. Marvin has so much talent... LETS GO HAWKS.

  • you really like the hawks don't you? Great mix by the way.

  • Love the mix and the song. Marvin Williams will be a good player someday.

  • WOW!!!!!!I like this player!!!!!
