  • The beginning of the movie is honestly my favorite part, so beautiful and powerful! Queen Victoria is truly amazing!

  • I too loved the movie so much. Over the years,68, I have seldom seen a movie more than twice. I saw "The Young Victoria" 23 times at the movie theater. It is the most beautiful love story.. (I paid for each performance)

  • Nice segue to the original Handel.

  • beautiful job...and I certainly loved the movie, the coronation scene brought me back to my teen years when I was at the college choir, and thhis was the very first piece we ever rehearsed, my welcoming to the classics! Love live the King!

  • They always use this song when it comes to crown a king after the Middle Ages.

Anyway, great song, great score and good film! Thanks for the final missing part!

  • @Ennio444 King or Queen regardless.

  • The basic purpose of the movie was to show that Queen Victoria was not all that "Victorian."

  • @61mrmusicman wellt he movie, although basd on alot of factual accounts, was heavily dramatised too

  • Queen Victoria is the Grand Mother to all Royal Heads and Peerage of our time

  • What once was...

  • Amazing Music by a German composer. Victoria is known in Irish circles as 'The Famine queen' after the propagated famine she reigned over. Tonnes of good food was exported out of Ireland around the empire - at the expense of poor Irish who were reduced to living on spuds. When they rotted, so did about 1000,000 'subjects'.

I'm not anti-English, I have never met a nicer people.. but history tells a different truth about this 'great queen'. ask the Indians and Zulu....

  • I loved the Movie, I wish that they did not do a shooting of Prince Albert as it just never happened. The truth of the attempt on Victoria which was true would have been better, Still I loved even that bit.

When you watch Elizabeth's Coronation and they play Zadok the Priest, you really get a feel for the music and what it must have meant to Victoria in the true sense. It is an incredible work

  • **weeps** this movie was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo beautiful........ i adore it! i can watchit a million times! its my new "sounds of music"....love it... :)

  • I absolutely love his movie and the music is soooo beautiful =)

  • good save the queen, and our future king william......

  • The costumes in this movie (specifically Victoria's) are absolutely GORGEOUS.

  • #God save The King, long live The King, God save The King, may he live forever#. This song gives me goosebumps also. Long live The Queen, long may she reign over us.

  • Wonderful film, spectacular music effect the crown of Victoria Queen and to move for who like English history valley impose a fine on pretty

  • what a sad childhood :(. the scene where she runs her twig along the bushes and gates in her garden just killed me. playing alone with sticks...i'd hate to be a royal.

but i like how the music starts out with trepidation...and slowly gains strength...and ends in this sort of coronation pomp and stance. story of her life!

  • I got goosebumps when I saw the coronation in the beginning of the movie lol so amazing

  • Does the soundtrack include also the recording of "The Cold Song" by Henry Purcell, which in the movie is sung by a countertenor (instead of a bass) in a theatre scene? The countertenor is lying on the stage floor, and Victoria is watching the show...Given that they apparently did not include Zadok the Priest, but only the original music for the movie, I have little hope... Thanks for posting this!

  • I love Handel but I've never heard this song before. It's beautiful.

Also, I guess I'll have to watch this movie now! It looks really good.

  • This movie was beautiful, the soundtrack as well.

  • Magnifique! J'aime ce film! Vive Victoria et Albert!!

  • i like pictures in the video ;)

  • thanks so much for putting this up and it really does gives me tingles!!!!!!! :)

  • Actually, the verse always says "God save the King" whether a king or queen is being crowned. "Zadok the Priest" by Handel is a reference to the anointing of King Solomon in the Old Testament. Handel takes the words directly from the King James Bible and because of this, they never change or are altered.

  • Really? Thanks for the info! I guess I just assumed that it was something like "God Save the Queen" but I guess I was wrong. I'll go change the description now then. Thanks! ^.^

  • lol saw this movie it was cool

  • @Crazy4ever95 Have you seen Mrs. Bown with judi dench? It is a great movie about Victoria in her later years when she is a widow. Well worth watching. Ian Gerard Butler is in it.
