Thanks for your comments! I'm in Canada and glad I'm not in the UK, however there are assumptions over here too. When I was only 14, I got sexually fixed, and being a kid, they didn't need my consent! Just a signature from my parents to do whatever's necessary. Later in my life I found a girlfriend who is also living with a disability, and I got sent to the Sex Offender Program not as a criminal, but to learn why it's wrong. And yet this is what everyone feels is best for us? Thanks!!!

ths government are now cutting dla and carers allowance by half, as a carer of my son, i will not survive on £27 a week, ts disgusting and i for one want all camerons lot out now.

all the carers in this country should raise up together and tell this government they are going on strike for 48 hours and find places for the people they care for, watch all the doors to these places being locked, they dont have the room staff or even budget to handle this. carers save them millions a year yet they and their charges are expected to live on virtually nothing and its harder after age 18 when most benefits and services cease nearly impossible for those coping alone

The appeal panels are in fact death panels. If they stop someone’s benefit who is ill, what they are really doing is stopping their food and roof over their head. What would you do if you were sick in bed with no food and you are about to be thrown out of your home. Suicide becomes a very real option. When you attend these panels you may have been ill for a long time and taking mind altering medication but you must defend yourself and you are not allowed representation.

After that year of being on ESA I imagine I would have to go onto JSA or nothing.

If nothing I would have to work even thought I would only last a few weeks unless I am unlucky enough to have a seizure in front of the employer, the rest of the staff and the customers. How long would an employer tolerate me then if that happens, I wonder...

The cost of living in the UK is nuts i have PPMS and had to stop work in 2006 as i got worse my DLA rised and thinking to my self wow this country looks after the disabled, i dragged how well i was being looked afte, BAD IDEA, take my advice say nothing the poor dont say "ho great your being looked after" more like sponging Fing Bast.... as i have been called, iam in the same boat as you but crying to over taxed people for help GOOD LUCK

I guess they realised the 2million on the books were not all cheats and were just to ill to go back to work, So this new method avoids this completely, so now we are all scroungers and will be eliminated, They will be building camps soon and sending us all there. Grrrrrr.... What happened to our NHS. It was there to protect us'! many people lost there lives so others would have a better standard of living. I'm frightened too. I was diagnosed over 4 yrs ago,I dont understand what is going on,am I meant to forget my diagnosis,my pain every day ? I am having to appeal and am waiting for my Tribunal,but I just dont have the energy anymore.I feel worthless,thats how they have made me feel and I feel sicker than I felt 6 months ago,because of all the rubbish they are putting me through.And I go into a near breakdown at the very sight of a Brown Envelope... I have MS, part of my morgage allowences have already being reduced, now they have taken my carrers allowences because they say I have money left after they count all my income (income support and dla). I have physically show them all my expenses and income and they can clearely see I have being living on loans for the past few years! and they still say that they are only follow precedures and that having a pet for a person that never goes out and have no other way of company is a luxury ...

When I became officially disable, I went to the job center and after 6 months of trying to get an appointment with their disability advisor I was told they could do nothing for me, so if they can't even help, how am I supuse to get a jo?

You stopped my DLA because someone called isobel milburn from the DWP says im fine after a simple 5 min phone call to me to ask me to justify my claim.As im speaking to this dispicable woman all i heard was people in her office laughing down the phone.This is unforgivable and disgusting.Someone should sack this woman and all in her office.Now i can't even afford to pay for bills and help,so when i get kicked onto the streets im coming for all of you.

I'm feeling sick to my stomach thinking about losing benefits, going to yet another medical knowing they've stacked the deck against me (Labour were no better with their Lima...). Who is there to stick up for the disabled? Who understands or even cares to understand psychological issues such as social phobia, depression as well as some other issues and how disabling these can be, which I suffer from? That stone faced skinhead look is really working against me...

Whatever Labour said back in March, before their leadership election, is pretty well void now. They're at a crossroads where they're going to their grassroots & asking, what concerns you, what would you do as an alternative to the coalition? This is the time to join Labour & tell the guys at the top, PROTECT the vulnerable people in society. As Aneurin Bevan said "It's Labour or nothing": vs Tories & LibDems who else has a chance?
