  • the jumps are hard to do becoz of button lag

  • woah thx so very very much a thousand times thx my brawl online was messed up and kept disconnecting and you solved the problem by saying i cant have any other wirless stuff nearby

now i can actually battle people in like 1 minute instead of 30 and only getting half a match

  • hey man i know this is pretty late but did you ever figure out a fix for the button lag? it ruined my smash bros experience and was a huge disappointment to me being a smash player since n64. Im thinking about giving it another shot and i have a feeling it will still happen.....let me know your thoughts thanks

  • have you tried using the speed up wifi thing with the DNS codes? It actually helped my button lag.

  • @BOOBOO3976 how do you do that? Where do you get the dns codes

  • @ihavetourettesxx Look up how to speed up nintendo wifi on google

  • OMG! I have the same exact fucking problem! It's so annoying! That's why I only play with bots or my friends.

  • but it could still be u

  • its because some people have lags on that, it pro isnt u its the other guy happens to EVERYONE

  • button lag makes experts look like rookies

  • Yeah seriously, if you have a good Marth and get 2-3 stocked by like Ike, Link, Ganondorf or Captain F. or someone slow like that, you know have buttonlag >.>

  • Not to everyone. (i know at least one exception)

Also everyone seems to have a different button-lag. Pretty strange thing. .. Mh..

  • It happens to everyone.

  • I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM!!!!!

but I don't play wifi anymore...

  • I didn't understand a shit since i was watching the pink Kirby the whole time XD.

But lag isn't affected by distance, since i played over the internet with my neighbour which lives 3 houses away from me and it still lagged like santa had sex with the lion king.

  • anybody know why theres a time lag on mine i have a great internet connection and time freezes and i get my ass handed to me by captain falcon it goes omega slow and i cant possibly play because it freezes up

  • there's a difference between game lag and button lag :)

  • i got my ass handed to cause of button lag

  • @jokeboxproductions same here

  • "play"I meant to say,noy pay,lol..

  • Its your internet dude.If you get a blue/green connection to whomever, the button lag doesnt exist.I have some yellow connections and they do that button lag once in a while.Pay peple that are closer to you state/area wise, that is all.

  • I remember for me it was due to the fact that I had my laptop next to me with my bluetooth on. Kinda messed the signal up, another thing might be if you have any other electronic interference like having a wireless phone near you.

  • It would be an possiblity if there would be a wireless signal to interrupt.

I'm playing with the Lan Connector. The only wireless Signal would be my Wavebird. But using an wired controller doesn't change anything. (Additionally the fact that it works perfectly fine Offline) =/

    But Thanks for your help.

  • Try replacing different things, one at a time -

Get someone to lend you their wii and try to go to theirs if they have a different internet provider/connection

1st swap the controller - try the wiimote and nunchuck too

2nd, use the original controller, swap the wii

3rd, use the original wii, swap means of internet connection (ethernet, move closer to router, etc.)

if all that fails, try linking your wii directly to the hub ( which goes straight to the phone line)

  • there is very slight button lag when it's running normally - there shouldn't be any at all, IMO - Brawl need split second reactions, and more than once, it has costed me the match :(

Sure it isn't your game disk? i've heard of problems with the disk before - try borrowing someon else's copy and see if that helps.

Hope you get it working soon =)

  • Thanks for your Help, but it's definetely not the Game Disc.

I am playing with the American version of Brawl but i also bought the German Version to see if this prevents the button Lag.

... unfortunately it was still the SAME button lag.

    ---

  • hmmm.... I don't have the Button lag on my wii, so here's how i've got it all set up...

Wii next to Hub (linked directly to phone line) which is next to TV.

have you tried taking your wii around to someone else's to see if it's the internet provider?

    I'm with B.T....

  • I have this problem too. Very frustrating.

=> Beide Us Version - Freeloader

    Bazil: Gc Standard Controller

    Harti: Wavebird

  • Somebody must have deleted my post.

Too bad he's running a tournament right now.

  • Sry. I guess i pressed the wrong button.

As far as I remember you posted something like "Thanks for posting".

Well, even in that state playing a tournament isn't impossible. It's a big disadvantage, but i'm getting used to it, somehow... )=
