I heard this song when it was first played in New Orleans. My girl friend and I drove around Lee Circle during the entire song. I will never forget that moment.
What a terrific Man remember he played at the Onset Colonial Casino in Onset MA and we beleive that is where he was inspired to write Blueberry Hill during his stay in our town.
Man my grandma was just talking about this song and my tia is such a sexy mama back then she was Mrs San Antonio or Mrs America idle look her up marry Lou saldania hell yeah
my great-grandmother would always talk about how this random dude would sing this to her everyday as she walked to the bus stop in 1959...eventually they went on a date and the rest is history...here i am today lol
@gogitta25 Oh, I just love your story. How cool, he was persistent and in the end it paid off for him. Hope your great grandparents had a very happy life. Cheers.
@mongproductions1 I understood what you meant even thought Jimbo didn't. Now please let's just drop it. This channel is all about the music that brings us together - not about things that push us apart.
omg My great grandma loved this song...she was such a beautiful woman and i always would hear stories about many men who were always after her trying to win her over. her nick name was"foxy mama" lol
uhh yeah it is. My grandpa has pictures of him and other people dancing dirty to music like this taken by a cheap old box camera that he used to own. Hes got some wild stories behind each and every one of those pictures. Just listen to the riffs man, its there.
@animal03181989 No, it's not. It's about a young man wanting to ask a girl out in hopes of marrying her. Back in the day it went, date, get married and then have sex.
so this the song my great grandmother was talk about huh,,,she told me the story of this boy that was in love with her in the 50's that would alwayz sing this to her
@gogitta25 Let's see - you are 38 so your mother would probably be about 58; your grandmother 78; and your great grandmother 98. This song was popular in 1956 when great gramma was 44. hmmm???? Interesting.
@teehonky We had a really nice stadium right behind the Jr. Sr. High building. Concrete bleachers lights for night games etc. It all fit nicely inside our 2 square mile town. It's official name was Millard, Nebraska but we knew it was really Heaven!
@John1948FourD we had a nice field too..except we had to chase away all the homeless migrant workers who tried to use the field for their bedrooms ..and toilets...they finally had to put hard astroturf down onit in 1980,it smelled so bad
love love love this song i'd only ever heard snippits of the song but finally heard it for the first time in full when i watched bbc's Rock n chips trying to buy it on a dincted 45 for my jukebox ??.. x

@JimboGee1234 I didn't mean that I'm just saying that a lot of black people have done a lot of cool things is WHY we should HATE racism.

With what amazing things many black people done (such as Fats Domino, Michael Jackson, etc.) this is why we should hate racism.

@animal03181989 I thought you meant the lyrics. It sounds to me like your grandpa and his friends were sexual rather than the song. LOL

@John1948FourD Though I don't think that tis song is about trying to get sex I don;t think you're necessarily correct. Good song though.
