I paid NZ$110 for it. The thing was originally designed to lift hospital beds. Brand is Derwert DYMAT from Germany. Load capacity 3000N. Lead screw 10:1 from memory. This particular model has a nylon nut.
The original unit is rated to lift 300kg but only travels at 10mm/sec. This easily lifted my heavy office desk, monitor and all. My latest configuration is shown on another video pushing me around while seated on a pivoting chair. It wasn't designed to lift 300kg, it is now designed to shift around 40kg at 300mm/sec.

Could you make your desk height adjustable with that. Would it carry the load. I noticed in your other video that you work standing up

you should use electronic brake, not just open circuit

Don't be concerned, this is just a test, will be using PWM and H-Bridge circuit.
