Intresting to know because somethign similar happend in the time of liberating modern art to the public in my very conservative home of Malta in the 1950s, where a local group of innovators brought foreword their own ideas with the title of Atelier 56.
Yes, it was a international workshop organized by Ministery Department of Culture Aruba,Director of Institute Evelino Fingal ,Director of Contemporary Cultural Affairs Mr.Elvis Lopez, Pr.Jos Houweling Rietveld Kunst Academie (Holland) in 1989 on Aruba. In 2006 Mr.Elvis Lopez started the workshops again together with other artists. This was my piece for the opening
