I'll have to disagree with the general positive sentiment. While I agree with most of the analysis, I thought it veered out of control near the end, especially when Alex was talking about Doom lasting "forever". I happen to believe in multiple mortalities. While we might screw ourselves up badly in one lifetime, we go to timeout then get another chance later, and can make better decisions; hopefully gradually improving over time. Even the worst -- Satan -- could eventually turn around.

Ron Paul could win, but he won't be allowed to. His stance on the FED is dangerous enough, but his real problem is that he fails "the Israel test." During the last debate, that "test" was thinly veiled as "would you let Iran have nuclear power?" Notice - only Ron Paul was asked this question. Because they knew it would expose him as unsupportive of Israel. All other candidates are on record to toe the line on unconditional support of Israel.
