@892lamar the high frequency of a 22 will tear your hearing up faster than most calibers. and once you threw your age into that statement it just makes you further sound like an ignorant little punk
@Zambi000 That is ridiculous.. when you are older and have constant ringing in your ears, you'll think back to that comment. I think you're confusing it with airsoft.
try CCI rounds, they are a bit more expensive @ like $9 per 100 rounds but they are 15-1600fps hollowpoint with a light copper coating for less cleaning and more speed.
have a buckmark standard version and the ruger only shoot mini mags buckmark has probably 6000 rounds through it with no jams or failure to feed none not even one and will shoot so fast ive had neighbors think i was shooting full auto and i have never took any thing on the gun apart to clean it only clean the barrel and wipe off feed ramp a little you seriously dont have to clean the thing truly a marvel of a gun i religously believe in taking down every part of a gun to clean it if only shot 1
@TheGuna74 lol, they still hurt your ears you chode. i tried firing my 22 pistol without ear protection once and i couldn't hear a damn thing for 2 days, and that was the last time i did that.
My 22/45 is the least picky of my .22 pistols, but still has a few types of ammo it doesn't like. So far the CCI mini-mags "40 grain round nosed" have been the most consistent in all of mine. They are cheap enough that they are all I buy anymore. Nice shooting guys, looked like a good times was had.
At what range is a .22 lethal?? I mean I've never shot one and it's a smaller caliber. Would it at three or four hundred yards kill someone w. a head shot? Just wondering...cuz I know a deer rifle would

Hitting soda cans consistently at 100 yards with a .22 pistol would be "accurate". You don't get that advantage on the fly . Also the rounds seldom penetrate even metal that thin at that distance. @DaveTeMan a 22 is leathal in most cases and the 22long rifle can go through the cheaper bullet proof vests.. mainly depends on where you hit em ... I used to dear hunt with a 22 but you have to only take head shots for larger targets but thier verry acurate so it isnt a problem ..
@sk8amerika yes you should, i learned that the hard way just three days ago i was shooting my 22 and came inside and then i later noticed my right ear felt like i couldn't hear out of it, like when you get out of a swimming pool, and i thought it would go away if i slept on it but the next morning it wasn't and i went to school half deaf lol its starting to come back now i can hear like 60% out of it but i never thought a 22 would do that but i guess it does so yah i would wear ear protection.
Is there any real need to wear headphones when shooting a .22. It sounds like a firecracker when you're behind it anyways. but other than that it's a pretty cool gun, personally I like the Luger Mk II.
@Thatguymanpersonn I take it you've never even shot before, if you think a .22 sounds like a firecracker. Oh, and nobody who actually shoots would confuse Luger with Ruger. The only time you don't need ear protection is when using subsonic .22 lr, or .22 shorts.
I bet it's a thrill to hear those shots connect on the stove from that far. If you thought this proved pistol effectiveness at long range, check out hickok45's 230 yard videos!
@THEHUNTINGAIRSOFTER Yes it will. Ive had excellent results with the Federal 550 bulk pack from Walmart and the ammo has left a clean (for a .22) barrel and zero issues in my MkIII 22/45. Definitely my favorite .22 ammo
@freemanbrook Yeah obviously I would have it over having no gun at all. But if I was choosing a home defense weapon I'd probably go for a .357 mag or .40, you don't want to take chances with defending yourself and your family. But yes, I see what you mean. I've seen people going pig shooting with .22's.
I have heard that the Mark 3 jams alot, even if you've got good quality ammo. In fact it jams soo much that you cannot keep it for anything apart from a situation where your just having fun with it. Is that true?
Apart from silencing the pistol, what other effects does the suppressor have? Either positive or negative.
@jonnyjumpsalot Home defense? Out of the question, this is more of a 'sports' pistol. It would be very risky to use against an armed intruder as most of them use large caliber weapons or shotguns and a .22 wouldn't hit with enough velocity to stop someone in their tracks well enough. A .38 or above would be a better bet, but don't go for a .50 magnum or something ridiculous haha.
@jonnyjumpsalot I have a Ruger Mark III 22/45 and whoever told you that the Mark III jams a lot is a misinformed person who either doesnt know what they are talking about or takes horrible care of guns. Just today, i finished firing over 450 rounds of Federal 550, and although there was a lot of crap in the gun, the gun was ENTIRELY reliable with ZERO FTFs, FTEs, or any other issues
I really like my Ruger Mark III hunter with its sights. It is really tough to put back together after field stripping until I watched a video not made by Ruger on how to do it and then it made sense. The Ruger video did not show the importance of one stop to move a lever again to clear getting the grip pin inserted without blockage. Then it made sense. These videos are important for such things to learn the fundamentals and the experienced shooter's lifetime of things that work.
ok, i have two concers about this video. No i have three, to start, dont dress all tactical to shoot at targets you faggot, second, what the fuck is the point of having 7 magazines? and lastly earn how to squeeze a trigger.
@kingmanted Who gives a god damned what impression anti-gun people get. Fuck them. If I gave a fuck what anti-gun idiots thought, I'd probably listen to emo music and watch sex in the city with my girlfriend. So until I start giving said fuck what anti-gun idiots impressions are, I'll keep buying new/old guns and SHITpiles of ammo, let Bob Seger wail out of my truck speakers while I empty AR mags, and let "Sex in the City" time be my girl's private, alone time. Unless she's shooting too.
How long did it take you to dub in the bullet strike sound for every round fired? o.O Lol! Just kidding, just kidding! I shoot 4 inch clays at 100 yards with my my Ruger MkIII Target (5.5 inch barrel, blued) using a 1x30mm red/green dot Centerpoint sight.
@feedmewaffels Yeah but that game is ridiculous about the .22LR ammo. A guy can take like 20 hits in the head? lol, I'd like to see a guy survive 1 hit in the head in real life.
@DonQuixotec true true !! it would bounce around in someones brain = dead , but fallout is a level based game when i was a higher level the 22lr was doing much better for me !! how much was your gun and what is it called ?
@feedmewaffels In real life? I haven't bought one yet. In Norway you have to be 6 months in pistol club before you get permission to buy a pistol. But I am thinking about either the Beretta 87 Target, or the Smith & Wesson Model 41
@kingmanted I don't know why "people" do it, but I know why Nutn does it. He's been in the military for 20 years, and he's a gear reviewer. He actually tests the gear that he reviews. -- Veri
@nutnfancy everyone says he cant be in a bunch of military stuff cause he makes 10000000 videos 30 mins each, I DIDNT SAY IT, other ppl do, dont troll me
@XvChriisvX You were asking a question? What question were you askin? It ;ooked to me like you were just repeating crap that you read online. Nutn has already put out videos showing him at work, flying, before he retired. Anyone who says he wasn't military is just hating and not even taking the time to check their facts. -- Veri
@kingmanted I know when I go out for hours of shooting I wear nothing but my underwear and I don't carry multiple magazines because reloading is much more fun than shooting. And I definitely don't wear any hearing protection of any kind! (idiot!)
@kingmanted He probably doesn't even know who solid snake is because he spends time OUTSIDE and not playing at some game system or trolling on his computer :) BTW i loved the first Metal Gear back in Jr. High. So...what would you wear out "plinking"? Seriously we are all curious...
@kingmanted Train like you fight, for some people that mean's load bearing vests and BDu's. For other like yourself it probably means pajamas, a red bull, and a tube sock you have named after some movie star.
@kingmanted I've been thinking the same thing. Now you aren't gonna have time to change when an intruder rapes your window & steals your flat screen at night. But look at all those pockets! They carry all their sh1t with them: the 550 box of Federals, spare mags, spare springs, 'tactical' crowbar, baby wipes for Tactical Doodle, parachute, etc.. It looks very practical to me, honestly. If I were in the middle of nowhere I'd wear the same sh1t. Minus the crowbar--it's not tactical. It never was
@kingmanted He is an icon if you will. And a little bit of creditability to his name.
Sure, as a video game, fun comes first. But Kojima will give you a history lesson in no time, not to mention, he is one of the reasons I have an interest in firearms. Of course, after further studies and differences being made.
Besides, the guy in the video looks cool, even if it's only for looks.
Lol, They make some GBB airsoft pistols have more recoil than than. But I guess it's a .22, the first time I shot a .22 pistol (revolver) I was around 20 yards away, shot 3 shots, thinking "WTF, did I shoot it" wait until I could check out the target, then it was all around the orange part near the center (sorry, don't know shit about targets)
I hadn't done this in a while... until today. 22 ruger MK II and a lot of ammo= huge fun. A steel tank @ 100 yards made for a great "gong" if you will.
I love this video. It shows just how much fun you can easily have with one of these fine pistols.
All geared up for a .22, cute =] What a beautiful place too shoot, I am beyond jealous.

I have a 55 gal drum about 300 yards behind my house I consistently hit with a .22 but I have shot at it hundreds of times and know exactly how much higher i must shoot. You don't get that advantage on the fly . Also the rounds seldom penetrate even metal that thin at that distance. With a pistol it even has less penetration ability because the bullet exits the barrel even sooner so less powder has chance to burn.

How long did it take you to dub in the bullet strike sound for every round fired? o.O Lol! Just kidding, just kidding! I shoot 4 inch clays at 100 yards with my my Ruger MkIII Target (5.5 inch barrel, blued) using a 1x30mm red/green dot Centerpoint sight.

that hand gun is in fallout new vegas !!
feedmewaffels 1 year ago
@feedmewaffels Yeah but that game is ridiculous about the .22LR ammo. A guy can take like 20 hits in the head? lol, I'd like to see a guy survive 1 hit in the head in real life.
DonQuixotec 1 year ago
@DonQuixotec true true !! it would bounce around in someones brain = dead , but fallout is a level based game when i was a higher level the 22lr was doing much better for me !! how much was your gun and what is it called ?
feedmewaffels 1 year ago
@feedmewaffels In real life? I haven't bought one yet. In Norway you have to be 6 months in pistol club before you get permission to buy a pistol. But I am thinking about either the Beretta 87 Target, or the Smith & Wesson Model 41

*sigh* why do people dress like solid snake when they go out plinking...
kingmanted 1 year ago 46
@kingmanted I don't know why "people" do it, but I know why Nutn does it. He's been in the military for 20 years, and he's a gear reviewer. He actually tests the gear that he reviews. -- Veri

@Verilioness how was i hating? i was just asking a question
XvChriisvX 11 months ago
@XvChriisvX You were asking a question? What question were you askin? It ;ooked to me like you were just repeating crap that you read online. Nutn has already put out videos showing him at work, flying, before he retired. Anyone who says he wasn't military is just hating and not even taking the time to check their facts. -- Veri

@kingmanted I know when I go out for hours of shooting I wear nothing but my underwear and I don't carry multiple magazines because reloading is much more fun than shooting. And I definitely don't wear any hearing protection of any kind! (idiot!)
depravedone 1 year ago 8
@kingmanted He probably doesn't even know who solid snake is because he spends time OUTSIDE and not playing at some game system or trolling on his computer :) BTW i loved the first Metal Gear back in Jr. High. So...what would you wear out "plinking"? Seriously we are all curious...
Blessedhart 1 year ago 2

I wear all my gear when I shoot my slingshot. Also, I could hit quarters at 50yrds with my Ruger 22/45.
easydoz1 1 year ago
I hadn't done this in a while... until today. 22 ruger MK II and a lot of ammo= huge fun. A steel tank @ 100 yards made for a great "gong" if you will.
I love this video. It shows just how much fun you can easily have with one of these fine pistols.
BigAgitator 1 year ago
@BigAgitator I usually use a shot-out propane tank or a frying pan for 100yd shooting with my Ruger MK II and it is really, really fun.
pullnshoot25 1 year ago
@pullnshoot25 Yeah. That's so much fun!
I've got other guns but the MK II is the one that gets the most use and overall praise. I wish I could go shooting with it every day!
those 5 gallon propane tanks are the perfect size @ 100 yards, eh? I love mine- makes a good noise each time

Why do you use ear protection for .22 ? Its a subsonic bullet lol.
xStrigoi 1 year ago
@xStrigoi Haha, shoot 22s as much as nutn does, without ear protection, and you will go deaf.
Dont believe me, keep doing it.
You will wish you had listened, when you could hear.
