  • Texture Pack?

  • how does this work to set on making a world on minecraft with this file?

  • @frumple1 Could you try to set up a system that is noob proof? (Prevents players from jumping onto the main line and stopping cart traffic). I have tons of people on my server that are bent on messing this system up and Its getting annoying, plz help.

  • the download link doesnt work

  • @MrCodgamer11 I've put up a new download link in the video description.

  • @frumple1 Still wont work, try adfly, or mediafire again, it just says the rapidshare expired and takes me to the rapidshare homepage. Please try to fix, im very interested in downloading it, and BTW u did some nice work.

  • @MrCodgamer11 I've put a new mediafire download link in the video description.

  • @frumple1 It worked!!! Thanks so much, keep up the good work

  • @frumple1 For the dispenser, (flash back to the first train station video) isn't it a manual cart lanuch too?

  • Your video is popular on Serbia

  • three words... best station ever

  • How can you possibly make it detect if a player is sitting in a cart or not?

  • @UNNAM3D82 Watch my video on Empty Cart Detectors. It'll explain everything. :)

  • @frumple1 Thanks a lot, but I figured it out anyways ^^

Didn't know empty minecarts had less momentum than occupied ones...

  • Dont worry, anybody who disliked this video is being sarcastic.

  • link dont work no more

  • @reck101101 Thanks for letting me know. The file has been re-uploaded and a new link is now in the video description.

  • @frumple1 thanks mate, you are awesome! Really appreciate your works.

  • @frumple1 link still does not work

  • @UpToEleven11 I've re-uploaded the file again, try the link now.

  • @frumple1 link still does not work. Try another file provider.

  • @funkyspyspy Will do. MediaFire keeps removing just that file due to an overzealous copyright filter, so I've uploaded to Rapidshare instead for now. Link is updated in the video description.

  • @frumple1 the link is down again=/ great design, would love to see how all the innards work if I can get the schematic downloaded

  • @MexicanMatt46 I've put up a new download link in the video description.

  • @frumple1 thanx alot man! Gonna take a look at it, and see what i can cook up!

  • HI mate! can you write in IP adress?:)

  • ok, i can't seem to get the minecart dispenser to work…any help?

  • Bloody brilliant

  • they need sticky tracks which slows the cart untill it stops

  • Nice Work!

  • Can't you just warp?

  • @ACommentator You simply don't understand of riding a cart and watching the landscape go by. It's the journey, not the destination.

  • Jeb (who is in charge of minecraft now, not notch) should make it so you take half a heart of damage if you touch powered powered rail.

  • MARTA: Minecraft Area Rapid Transit Authority Oh, has anyone else noticed the snowflake thingy on the buffering bar?

  • Aight, now for the newer version, find an effeciant way to make piston trains. But I still like.

  • @AnonymouslyAgnostic So far, piston trains have proven themselves to be noisy and difficult to build. I also haven't seen any that can move in both directions or turn. Yeah...might be a nice thing to play around with later on, but definitely not for the next version of the station.

  • why your station has 3 arrivals?

  • dunno wether someone already asked but does this still work in 1.0.1?

  • @Kasry123 As far as I know, this station does still work in Minecraft 1.0.

  • @Kasry123 it work!

  • For info on permissions see 3.0 work in progress

  • @gamecube47 Could you please read the PM I sent you, and not spam my videos with comments? Thanks.

  • @frumple1 you could just block him

  • hello, how do i unzip this and put it into minecraft?

    I just bought the game.

  • @Tehothe12 You can use another program called MCEdit to load your Minecraft save file, and then import the schematics that I provided into your own world. Just google for MCEdit to find the download for it.

  • I am using my iPhone please pardon my grammar

  • Thanks ixcaliber for noticing my error,I really should have caught that.

  • Comment removed

  • Can you show us how to make the dispenser because I couldn't find it on the internet.

  • @TLeon2414 There's a link to the dispenser in the video description.

  • Frumple, I have created a booster pack for the stations that include Left/Right turns track schematics and slope schematics. but I still need an underground station schematic, could you give me some pointers.

  • @gamecube47 I don't understand. Are you looking to make underground schematics for turns and slopes? If you make them match up with straight track schematics (with the stone walls and such) then you should be good to go.

  • Thank you for your reply

  • You are a Genius!!!

  • Hey frumple, sethbling recently posted a video on an unoccupied cart detector

    It's called Mrfrozen23(not to sure)

It's much more efficient and compact, it doesn't use and 3 block high hills, not sure if it works in 1.0.0

  • @gamecube47 I've seen that cart detector, but it seems to be based on a bug that could potentially be fixed by Mojang in the future. Instead, I'll probably be using a detector that involves a cart passing through a pressure plate on a fence. I can't remember the original video I saw it from right now, but I might post a video of my own sometime soon showing it in action.

  • @frumple1 If you look at the crafting recipe of a detector rail it contains a pressure plate.I don't know why you need a slope though,if you can get me the other video that would help

  • @gamecube47 LOL! He didn't call it Mrfrozen23, that's the guy who made the design!

You couldn't have failed anymore than that.

  • tut pls :) its awesome

  • I've subscribed to your channel too!!

  • Frumple1 can you please look at my post

  • i love your stations, how do u keep it so orginized, when i make one it ends up in a jumble of track and wiring

  • I want to use your MRT Station on my minecraft server, but I need a curved track for all levels and entrances to underground stations.

Could you possibly get thses schematics for me?

if you can Thank you thank you in advanced

Or could you include them in V4.0.

  • @gamecube47 Thanks for the suggestions. The track schematics are really meant to be used as a guide, and not as a complete solution. Unfortunately, I don't have time to create all the curves and other tracks. Instead, you should be able to create your own curves by placing the track and redstone torches manually where you need it.

I may include more kinds of track schematics in v4.0, but no guarantees.

  • I have to say THIS IS SO Cool

    Problems

First of all, the warning sounds on the track only work on elevated and need red stone torches to keep the power rail on

Second you need to add turn parts, its so hard to keep going straight,(example=OH NO, you imported a schematic in front of your soon to be rail line, and the building is really big so you can't fit an underground station there

Third you need the pieces of track, like in between Grassland and Tundra, that raise you up to the elevated track

  • can you share the texture pack with the better glass?

  • @tobz5050 No I don't have that texture pack anymore, and it wouldn't be useful to you anyway since Minecraft has updated so much since then. You can learn how to edit the texture files in Minecraft yourself with a simple paint program. Just google it.

  • can u make a tutorial for the cart dispenser, i cant find one on the internet

  • @MrYodog123456 Have you tried looking at the link I provided in the video description? That's about as close as you can get with a tutorial, since those images were Renwallz, the original creator of the dispenser.

  • can i add 2 my server? (i just want to give you credit even tho its on my server)

  • @Jasestuff123 You're absolutely free to add these stations to your server. That's why I made the schematics available. :)

  • does this work in 1.8?

  • @Threxx1

yep it also works in minecraft 1.0.0 too

  • @Jasestuff123 No, it doesn't. For some reason, around every station, there is a cluster of unpowered rails. There is an easy manual workaround, but it is tedious. This map has worked for me before, so I am sure the reason the rails malfunction has something to do with the update. Am I the only one with this problem?

  • @Coastergeekperson04 The station itself works in 1.0.0, but some of the track schematics I provided no longer work. I used redstone torches attached to glowstone to power the rails from below, but due to recent minecraft updates, the torches fall off the glowstone, leaving the rails unpowered.

If this is too much of a problem, I might upload fixed versions of the map and schematics, but really I'd rather focus more on v4.0 of the station and other new things.

  • TUT

  • Wow. Just wow. :D

  • Want this in your own world? You can use MCEdit!

  • Thanks for making these, and making them available to the public! My server is making an underwater city, and your stations work really well there!

  • I want it so that griefers wont be allowed to get away if they remove the minecart.

  • @funkyspyspy Use WorldGuard to prevent Griefing, and restrict use of Minecarts/buttons/whatever at certain placees :) It is a bukkit plugin.

  • i was just wondering if you were going to make a new MRT version

  • i am trying to make a Minecart Station

  • I looked at renwallz's version, I follow the picture, and when i put a cart on it it stopped for 1 second then continued

  • Comment removed

  • I love this station

  • he put parameters in minecraft logic... i did not know that could happen

  • are u going to update it like w pistone and stuff?

  • Is there a tutorial for this dispenser? It would be really helpful. Trying to learn from 8 pictures is really hard....

  • lovely!

  • In the schematics, are there tracks with fences and tunnels

  • @gamecube47 Yes, there are schematics for ground-level tracks (with fences), and underground tracks (with tunnels).

  • Is there tracks with the fences and tunnel

  • If you want to see progress and/or want to help with it, I could try and move it to my server or set up a home server.

  • Okay, so I decided to completely rebuild the station, from scratch. My intention is to make the wiring simpler, and disabling the player from getting into the system and possibly destroying it all.

  • Okay, this DOES help: Replace the block under the block that should block the minecart with a piece of fence.

  • Nevermind, that doesn't help :/

  • Comment removed

  • I got a little improvement for the overflow collection, replace the blocks under the rails with soul sand, which prevents the carts from glitching through the walls in SMP/CMP

  • awesome

does it still work on 1.9

  • @gamecube47 Yes, it still works for the latest beta 1.9 prerelease 4.

  • I feel as though if you were to change the design just a bit it would not get stuck. Do some tests with raising the dispenser slope up 1 more level or making the top of each dispenser 3 long instead of only 2. This allows more time for the redstone wiring to change back to the off state before the new cart arrives. I may be wrong but its a thought.

  • @sniperlif3 Yeah, you're right the problem seems to stem from the timing of redstone and the carts. It's just very time-consuming to make one little change to the dispenser, then test it many times to see if it works better or not and repeat. If I ever get around to making a new version of this station, I'll make it a priority to get the dispenser 100% reliable.

  • Wow. This is amazing. I tried figuring out how it works but i get lost when it comes to linking everything together. Is there a tutorial on all the wiring?

  • @B3tter0ffDead Unfortunately no. There are some signs in the below levels however that try to point out which redstone wires connect to what.

  • @frumple1 Alright. I'll try to make it out. Thanks!

  • Comment removed

  • Hey is it ok if i strip it down and try to improve it

    -tac_fokz

  • Awesome , omg

  • dude amazing you should hop on my server some time i and if you would like help me with redstone basics cause i suck with redstone and we can make one of these amazing the coolest thing i have seen in minecaft

  • its the best minecart station i have ever seen !!! Oo great job

  • You are amazing. thanks for letting us download the save file.

  • how long did this take to build

  • how are your windows clear and nice vids

  • @WARSM1 texture edits

  • Beautiful work, I attempted to make my own but was overwhelmed at the trouble.

I imported this one., much easier.

Commentary + Download = Instant like

Im subscribing, and I rarely do that.

  • @frumple1 I tried to import the schematic into my world but when ever I click the schematic to open it, MCEdit crashes. do you have a fix for this?

  • @thislooksfun1 I can import the schematic just fine with the latest MCEdit stable 21. Make sure you update to the latest version, and ensure that Minecraft and MCEdit are never running at the same time.

  • (and btw, when the player actually gives damage, it's not a bug. see the wiki.)

  • @robxu9 It's definitely a bug. Before 1.7 was released, players did not take damage when travelling in a cart going around a corner.

  • @frumple1 oh. whoops. seems like I misread instead. ^_^" sorry.

  • For 1.7.2+, we can now use pistons. Are you going to upgrade the station to use pistons?

  • @robxu9 I will only use pistons if they actually provide a significant benefit to the station, such as smaller space usage or improved usability.

  • @frumple1 On my stations, I drastically simplified arrival and departure with pistons. I also made a better pez system.

  • This is amazing, i was stupid enough to try to build a massive above ground station in a VERY mountainous area. :(

  • 1 person though that the dislike button is DIS I LIKE!

  • Any other download links for your map? Mediafire doesn't seem to want to load for me or it's down. Either way i can't check out the awesomeness up close D:

    Thanks :)

  • @lukkychukky Mediafire seems to up and running from my end. I'd say try again and if that doesn't work, try using a different browser.

  • @frumple1 I got it :) Just had to flush my DNS that's all. Thanks for the response though :) And thanks for the map + schematics. Going to be really useful in my project :)

  • Im trying to implement the minecart storage system, but for some reason when I try to insert a minecart, it will bounce off of the first bay and not work. Any ideas why it doesnt work? Thanks

  • @Tundrabuddy1 Could you be more specific? Are you trying to recreate Renwallz' dispenser? If you follow the link in the video description, you can see pictures on how to construct the dispenser. Without more details, I can't comment on why your carts would bounce back out.

  • @frumple1 Well I think I copied your dispenser EXACTLY the same, and on the map that you gave the download for, the dispenser works fine, but when I try to recreate it on my own map, (on a Bukkit server, but with all the same plugins and everything,) the carts will somehow bounce off of the powered rail for the first bay, even though there's nothing there D: Please help. Thanks.

  • @Tundrabuddy1 Did you import the dispenser into your map using MCEdit or create it by hand? If you imported, there could be invisible carts on the dispenser that would cause the bounce back, so you could try walking through it and breaking those carts. Otherwise, the most likely culprit are your Bukkit plugins, especially ones that modify the behaviour of minecarts or minecart tracks. Try disabling them one by one and see if it makes a difference.

  • @frumple1 I built it by myself, and I also do believe its my plugins. Anyways, thanks for all the help and everything! =)

  • im buildin my new server around ur train stations and we're plannin on addin in new ones when we need to expand, thanks!

  • how do u do this this amazing im jelous

  • Yeah this is a lot less Cluttered then your lasty 1. Good job it looks awesome

  • for when the cart is coming out of the dispenser, and the dispenser empty torch comes on, to avoid this happening, you could split the redstone into 2 lanes, 0ne of which is delayed, with an and gate at the end, so it had to be empty for 3 seconds, so the other cart has time to get to the front stop

  • Comment removed

  • for the 3 second gap between loading carts, you coulsd use a detector rail and invert the signal so when one is loaded, the booster goes off, ad you could time it so 3 seconds later, it turns on again

  • @godzilltrain This is a great idea, and surprisingly no one else has suggested before. Thanks! :)

  • Really nice station ive been looking for something like this to help me build better stations and this is by far the best built and explained of all of them.

  • YOUR AWESOME!

  • I was thinking that instead of sending the cart to the next station when the arrival bays are full, what if you put the carts into a circular holding pattern until the next bay is available? I took a look at the stations myself and space seems to make such a thing challenging, but it is possible.

  • @Coastergeekperson04 It's certainly possible, but have you considered the scenario where you have many carts in a circular holding pattern? You could have all the carts in one track loop, but this greatly increases the chance of cart collision, and the first cart that enters the loop may not necessarily be the cart that gets the next available bay. Alternatively, you could make a whole series of track loops with one cart each, but that would take too much space I would think.

  • @frumple1 Maybe if all three bays were full, the U-turn switch will automatically operate. I guess the player could always do that themselves though...

  • @frumple1 Or, when all three bays are full, have the turnaround switch beyond that side of the station automatically activate, so the cart can try arriving on the other side of the station. If the player wanted to skip the station but all three bays are full, though, that could be a problem since they'd be turned around, and then would end up continuing down the main line in the wrong direction. They could hit the turnaround switch again manually, but I find it hard to hit those switches.

  • Hello, is it possible to connect this with a rail changing system? Because i invented my own design featuring 1 RS NOR Latch per rail, so you wouldn't need more than one rail, 1 button for each station. Thanks

  • @TheBartmandk You can make an interchange and have the rider press a button to change tracks. Although you can't have pure "lines" like a real system, it put the rider in control and makes it easy to get from anywhere to anywhere. I'd like to see the design you made, though.

  • @Coastergeekperson04 Okay thanks. My desing is actually quite simple. 1st button deactivates all the RS NOR Latches. The 2nd button deactivates all RS NOR Latches except the first which it activates thus making the 1st of the tracks turn so it gets to the 2nd track. The 3rd one deactivates all RS NOR Latches except the first 2 RS NOR Latches thus making the 1st and the 2nd of the tracks turn so it gets to the 3rd track. So you need 1 RS NOR Latch for 2 tracks, 2 Latches for 3 tracks, etc. Enjoy!

  • love this concept.

but i had a thought i felt may be useful.

would adding one strait rail to the bottom of that slope solve the half-heart damage issue without harming your overall design?

  • @jouvkeith There is unfortunately no more space for that one extra piece of rail. Adding the rail means shifting over the nearby dispenser or other components, and that wrecks the overall symmetry of the station. I'll probably have to think up some other solution, or just wait for Notch to fix the bug.

  • @frumple1 well, i spent about four hours figuring out how this thing works exactly. Absolutely brilliant! i did some tinkering that got rid of the fall damage but your right it does add one more space to each side making it look a little off. i think by shifting the extra tiles along the exterior to the center of the building might break up the pattern in an architecture in an ascetically pleasing manner. still, its your baby, let me know what you think.

  • @jouvkeith If I do ever make a new version of the station (I'm pretty busy IRL now), I would probably just build it all up from scratch again rather than make a few tweaks here and there. This way I'll have a bit more freedom in keeping the architecture aesthetically pleasing. I'll also wait until the 1.8 adventure update to start any designs, since there is always the possibility that the update could change minecart or redstone behaviour in some ways.

  • Thus should have WAY more views

  • oh man I just finished building a west-bound only station online. Phew that was tiring. (The server OP won't add WorldEdit)

  • I'm kinda new to minecraft, where would i save the level file to?

  • @spongegut123 Press Win + R, type "%APPDATA%" (minus quotes), go to ".minecraft/saves/" the world folder goes in there.

  • @ThickMcRunFast37 thanks it worked :) only downside is it lags when i call a minecart and that makes it difficult to get in :(

  • are you going to be doing a new version that uses pistons? as i love your stations and would love to see them used in there somehow :)

  • @TheRuggedRich I'll probably only put in pistons if they actually add functionality to the station, or do something better than a non-piston method. So far, I haven't found any such use for pistons in the station. I'm not going to put in pistons just because they are new and shiny. :)

  • are u making more

  • idk if this is a glitch or something, but when when i press the button for a cart to come into a bay (the dispenser is full at the time) the signal for the empty dispenser lights up. When i try to fill the dispenser, the carts just come out in the overflow thing. (btw this is in a multiplayer world that)

  • @ckeroable Could you be more specific? When the cart is requested, are the carts in the dispenser moving up one slot? It is normal for the empty signal to light up briefly because the dispenser needs a little time to reorganize the carts.

Also, if the 1st dispenser slot after the overflow switch is occupied, the full indicator will be lit, and the switch will engage. Sometimes the indicator will get stuck in the on state, so try manually pushing a cart through that 1st slot to fix it.

  • @frumple1 Well when I press the request button, absolutely nothing happens (as far I can see) and the empty dispenser signal lights up. If you could, come on my server (message me if you will and i'll message the ip back to you).

  • @frumple1 I guess someone pulled the flush minecarts lever? Probably it.First time usage, the dispenser full light will be lit, because when frumple1 export the schametics, the minecarts weren't imported. That cause the "Dispenser Full" to be lit.

  • @ckeroable if you placed the station using world edit some of the junctions may not be facing the right direction so you havr to replace them so they're facing the correct way.

  • What train tracks should i use for the station?

  • @Zoomarang243 I'm sorry I don't understand your question. There are some basic track schematics included in the download that you can use to connect your stations, or you just make your tracks.

  • I have a suggestion: instead of having the overflow go to a specific area, why not have them sent to the next station? That way a station no station will have an excess of minecarts. This was how I modified the north/south station to send extra carts to the next station: i.imgur(dot)com/Pwu4c.jpg However this may cause problems if another cart is coming up the hill.

  • @ThickMcRunFast37 It's not a good idea to have empty carts go on to the next station because if the next station is far enough away such that its map chunk is not loaded, then the cart will behave oddly. Sometimes the cart will continue as normal, other times it will simply disappear. Or even worse, the cart will stop on the track and block any other incoming carts. If your stations are close enough together, then your approach should be okay.
