  • lead singer resembles toby mcguire

  • Holy shit, I remember buying this cd when I was 17....I still enjoy it , to this day! I even got my little brother into them :)

  • stupid comments are top rated lol really comon fuck

  • One of the best songs ever!!!

  • @alienboy1002 yup

  • i cant believe this vid only has 67,359 views, wtf youtube?

  • i grew up with this' even bought the album as it was a piece of history at the time!

great piece for all the guys and girls that didn't get their shit together!

It's all too depressing when the booze is on for the memories of a life many could have seen in a positive social circle,,,,just a dream!!

what is that connects? it's everything! not everyone can be the musical artist!

  • Wow, I thought they were British. Great track. I like the way it sounds like he's beating the shit out of those drums.

  • This song sounds like a mix between Relationship of Command era At the Drive-In, and Dirty era Sonic Youth

    Anyone see any similarities?

  • @pashedmotatos i have heard the sonic youth comparison many times but i think one of the biggest differences between these guys (that i love) and sonic youth is that sonic youth cannot write a good, catchy melody.

  • @phantom5691 uh, have you listened to any sonic youth stuff post-1985?

  • @phantom5691 I have 3 possible explanations for the completely ridiculous thing you've said.

    1. You have not heard much from Sonic Youth.

    2. You're tone deaf.

    3. Your definition of a "good, catchy melody" is fucked up.

  • @EconomixProductions

    1. i have been a sonic youth fan for more than 20 years, so that one is out

    2. i have been a musician for more than 30 years, so that one is out too

    3. my idea of a catchy melody is subjective, as is yours...i could easily say that if you think sonic youth writes catchy melodies, your definition of a catchy melody is fucked up too, but why bother?

  • @phantom5691 i could really go for some butts

  • @phantom5691 By the way, I'm not a troll, and if it is the first one that is the problem, then I suggest that you listen to anything from Daydream Nation and up, and if you're still not pleased with that, well then fuck, I can't really do anything about that, but it's just a suggestion.

  • I thought their follow up was pretty lame, but haven't listened to it in forever. Maybe I will give it another go...

  • One of the greatest guitar riffs ever conceived.

  • I never get tired of this song, is that normal? haha

  • @superwowyeahcool: I dunno, but I feel the same way! "Why is a song the world for me?"

  • Hey procritic09. i'm sure your paragraph is appreciated by the band. I'm as lucky as you for stumbling across this these guys...

"To rise above the mires of old days long died, know they won't come again let the years roll in and drown our yesterdays.."

  • I'm in love with this band!!

  • They make some great music; I actually found these guys in a hightimes magazine. ;)

  • bad ass song bad ass band

  • 12 bodies are currently found on the trail of dead.

  • Why does everyone hate on their band name...?

  • 12 people dont wake and bake

  • :)

  • Hahaha I have loved this song since I was fifteen smoking blunts at boarding school six years ago....nostalgia.

  • @HaploMontbank ha dude what boarding school did you go to

  • @sydsannath Dunn School in Los Olivos California

  • lmao Wazoo

  • The 9 dislikers will be included in the trail of dead

  • (: i got a pick from Conrad ^^ his sister gave it to me!

  • another band that is sadly overlooked constntly. listening to these guys as long as i can remember and ive never met another person who knew them. such a shame

  • Everyone buy their new album, Tao of the Dead. It's on par with Source Tags and Codes.

  • @maskedcrusader - If its as good as those, I'm there...

  • @maskedcrusader

arguably the most eclectic pure and best liveband of the last 15 years

    1. Worlds Apart

    2. Source Tags & Code

    3. Madonna

    4. Century of the Self

    5. Trail Of Dead (debut)

    6. Tao of the Dead

    7. So Divided

  • 7 people are not stoners.

  • This, Is. Amazing.

  • when the singer closes his eyes he looks a bit like andrei arshavin.....

  • a fantastic album that brings back so many personal memories for me. memories of being 14 and starting to discover life.

Great song - "Why is a song a world for me?"

  • I guess no one here has heard of placebo before, seriously what the fuck is this shit.

  • @EvilyoshiJAPAN4 Trail of Dead > Shitcebo, you stupid dickhead. Trail of Dead scored at least two of the best albums of the last 15 years; Shitcebo were utter shit in the nineties and continue to be shit. Fuck off.

  • @EvilyoshiJAPAN4 I've heard of placebo, and that one song they wrote.... ToD makes them look like dumbasses.

  • That is a great energy.

  • Anyone besides be notice that the more talent a band has the less views it has? (With the exceptional few, and I emphasize "few").

  • LOVE this song. I've heard it like 5 times already.

  • haha dom halsar ju Jack Daniels.. lustigt la inte märke till det innan..

  • If you ever have a chance to see them live you should. They're fantastic!!

  • what type music is this? write back plz ty

  • @pakman903 just think of it as modern indie/folk/hard rock. if that makes any sense.

  • @asiandrummer84 I don't see where the "Folk" part comes from... and both "Indie" and "Hard Rock" are a couple of the vaguest terms in music. They certainly stem from the Punk tradition, and with some Post Punk jangle... I might just have to buy the term "Post Hardcore" (with some noise/ambient tendencies), as it is derived from Punk and has that vocal styling common to the variant of Punk that came after the "hardcore" scene... Man I don't know though, modern music is hard to figure out.

  • @KingCrimson776 oh yeah, forgot to include "post" into it. and i could have sworn someone told me that they have some folk theme into it but i guess that person was wrong. and yes, they're more closely to post hardcore punk w/ art rock in it.

  • @pakman903 great music.

  • aww, wish they still sounded like this. :( I can't believe they're on VEVO hahahahahahaha.

  • Being from Texas (Austin) I'm allways impressed by the lvl of musicians tht come from there....LOt's of great music

  • 5 people don't wake and bake.

  • This srsly makes me want to learn how to play the drums...

  • love they way jason leans into the cymbal @ 2:31 to 2:38

  • my first apartment, early college days, ahh yeah

  • This band stayed true to themselves without changing their sound to complete crap like most bands who get a taste of success. I have nothing but good things to say about this amazing band. True art!

  • This album was really good, then they got full of themselves...filming their follow up as if it were some Beatles epic in the studio. Terrible advice/management/whatever. Just live a little and write some songs. And it wasn't even any good. Too bad.

  • Awww. I like the origonal intro :(

  • great song lame video

  • @wslickens video pretty much fits in perfectly with the lyrics. A morning stoner is someone who goes to church to get their "high" from religion. Mass is typically in the morning. The band is mocking religion by posing in Cathedrals, passing a glass of wine/alcohol around, etc...

  • this reminds me being a kid again fuck time flys fuckin by so fuckin fast

  • @jrjrloreto feel the same, didn't think i've end up sounding like my dad so soon!

  • i think it is funny how just because you thought this great band was from texas and it had to country. i rode into work today on my horse too with my cowboy hat.

if you ever have a chance to see these guys live, i would highly recommend it! great southern rock band.

  • this song gives me a strange feeling

  • THIS IS WHAT MUSIC SHOULD FUCKING BE!!

  • This Band is Amazing! I love their breakdowns and his voice and emotions in every song, one of the best albums ever, who ever dislike this doesn't know real music....

  • this reminds me of hot summers on my old trailer home.

  • ahh teenage memories, such an awesome album too.

  • Cool name, baufuckinghaus; it's a reference to the band Bauhaus, right? Cool song.

  • man i grew up this band.. so many memories, "for not seeing heaven like you would see, why is a song the world for me?"

    this band is true love

  • I actually found this band on a list of worst band names page, and i was curious so i went on there wikipedia page. The first thing i saw was that they were from Texas so i thought it was a country band and was just about to close then i saw it was Austin, Texas so i looked at it and saw it was Indie Rock, then i came here. I just gave a paragraph explanation that no-one will ever care about... oh well. Great song.

  • @procritic09 i actually liked it. and so did everyone else, seeing as you have the highest rated comment! i think this band name is amazing. send me the link? i wanna see what else is on this "worst band name list"

  • Ok, i've tried to link it loads of times but Youtube won't let me, so i'll just say this: Google "worst band names" and it's the first result. It says "Your Band Name Sucks: 50 of the Inexcusably Worst." But second in the google search page there's another article that says "The 25 Most Ridiculous Band Names in Rock History", and that's funnier.

  • @procritic09 wow...that was...surprisingly detailed. i expected you to be all "AH hop off son"

  • @procritic09 actually i think it's pretty cool all the crazy ways we bump into new bands. Thanks for sharing.

  • @procritic09 i care...i do...

  • @procritic09 LOl I like sharing the story of how I found a band too. Noone ever acts interested buy I still tell it anyways.

  • @procritic09 that's how i've found lots of great music, trail of dead included

  • @procritic09 how the heck would this be one of the worst bands? I mean they did a cover for one of their albums using only blue biros, that alone excludes, this being any bad for any soul

  • @uberdeathmetal I said worst band NAMES.

  • @procritic09 good god sorry, looks like i have selective reading.

  • @procritic09 i actually like your explanation! ty! :D

  • yeah let's kidnap them, take them to a trail of dead show, and when they play this song, the crowd rips them to pieces and throws their body parts all over the room while he goes "WHAT IS FORGIVENESS, IT'S JUST A DREAM!" and then after the song is over he goes "thanks guys, that was a good job disposing of that dumbass"

  • the one person who disliked this video is a bitch ass hater

  • @lagunatom haha... agreed. the new single 'weight of the sun' is the tops!

  • @lagunatom lol!!!!

  • @lagunatom i would say that he is more of a punk ass motherfucker than a bitch ass hater

  • @lagunatom damn right, dog.

  • the first guitar riff is killer i think :)

  • awesome song this whole cd rocks i love it

  • one of the greatest songs ever

  • one of the greatest songs ever

  • "why is this song a world for me?"

  • @mtnlogistics

    You're not alone.

  • damn this is classic.

  • song is just plain awesome

  • Fuckin' ace. Class song that is.
