  • I love your videos and I think Natural healthy hair is the most beautiful hair there is.

  • OMG You're so pretty!! Thanks for all the great videos!

  • Comment removed

  • her hair is so glossy though!

  • i really thought her hair was super duper kinky like mine, but her hair is a good balance between a 3 and 4. i like her hair type.

  • Very pretty hairstyles. I will checkout more of your videos

  • That’s not her pattern….she stretched it people her hair really is tightly coiled

  • How did you get your hair so shiny! mines is never that shiny no matter what kind of oil I put in it

  • @kmujeres

    Same here..

And I Think It's Her Shea Butter.. She Mixes It Her Self.. She Has A Video On How Too Make It..

  • Thank you this video was helpful.

  • was your hair ever relaxed????

  • I hate parting my hair down the middle because it never wants to fill in the space when it comes time to style it lol

  • @klshaw715 She DOES load her hair full of oils. Lol her flaxseed gel as well as her creams have tons of oils in it. castor, olive, coconut, rosemary, ylang ylang, ect.

  • You're hair has so much body! I hate my 4c hair. :c

  • your hair is beautiful but you dont have tightly coiled shrunken hair.. thats what i have and your hair is nothing like mine!

  • What does 4a to 4c mean are these some type of measurements?

  • @MissEnnie They are hair types.

  • Do you have the tutorial for this braid out?????? Mine always turns into a big puffy mess.... :/

  • 2:31 model shot!

  • I hope I don't sound TOO crazy but I am sooooo un love with your hair!!!

    God bless

  • Your hair is so healthy!! And I just love all of your videos...

  • watching your videos made me love my natural hair again instead of looking at it as complicated

  • A beautiful grade of hair.

  • i reAlly loved this video, wow... even i could do this :"0

  • I love your hair and I want mine to look like yours...you are teaching me how to get back to natural...thank you for inspiring me

  • I noticed your hair is healthy from root to ends!! How often do you trim them??

Even when my hair is healthy I notice my ends are super frizzy sometimes...which I'm assuming it's split ends :\ or I have been assuming. But when I look at my ends I don't see any splits down them lol soooooooooo what the world -.- lol. Is there something special you do to seal the ends? Cuz I don't understand why my ends are so frizzy sometimes =(. Maybe I twist them to often? We need to figure this out!!!!! lol

  • how did u make that pomeade?

  • I like you cause u don't use high priced expensive crap but you just KIS, keep it simple! keep doing you!

  • wat is 4a to 4c wat does that mean

  • @msbarbiebitch96 it means the style can be used on type 4 hair which typically crosses the spectrum of hair ranging from loose curls to tightly coiled hair.

  • @finallykogospel thnx because i kept seeing this but never understood

  • i'm confused on what you did before you unbraided

  • im not getting this hair type thing so well:|

  • What's a 4a or 4c.

  • Amazing, your hair is always so nice and shiny!!

  • Comment removed

  • Cute.

  • i wish someone like you would volunteer to be my personal hair stylist haha. the things you do with your hair are amazinggg. great styles :D

  • did any one peep this was uploaded in 2010 and she wasnt able to get her hair it 2 connected french braids now its down or passed her bra strap in like a year o.0 truly amazed is what i am

  • your hair is pretty and you're beautiful :)

  • wow this was just 11 months ago.... look how much your hair has grown!!

  • @ejosephgraham This is a re-upload from February 19, 2010, so that's more like a yr and 8 months.

  • @sillyie Actually it is 8 months, it was in the same year. Original date: 2/19/2010, re-upload date 11/22/2010.

  • @SuperFavorite1 ejosephgraham just wrote her comment 4 days ago, so I was talking about from February to now, not from February to when she re-uploaded the video in November.

  • I don't like hair type either. I just have natural hair period. :-)

  • I don't get how you have 4a hair when your curl pattern is so loose. I think this hair typing nonsense is rubbish anyway. I think everyone should love their hair and quit classifying it.

  • @Godzfriend1 all hair is good...smh @ that antiquated slave terminology. It's a shame you think someone else's hair is "better" than yours. I hate hearing people say that when my best friend is losing hers at 34.

  • 26 people are crazy. your hair looks great :) I swear some people just click around on youtube "disliking" videos. crazies.

  • Naptural85:And thats it guys thats how you get big hair fast

    Me:Yaaaaayyy"

    (preparing for bed)

Me:wait you have to braid again? (Day 2) It repeats itsellfff?

MoM:Well im not going to do that... guess well just cut your hair off

    Me:NOOO

  • @Footbeat1 Lol !.

  • You are tight. I love all your videos and the background music, too. Your hair and sense of health is inspiring. Thx

  • Nice, you keep your hair very well moisturized. Your hair loves the way it is being treated.:)

  • ahahahaha I YAWNED!

  • You have beautiful hair. I'm not sure about all the 4a, 4b, stuff, but my hair is the really kinky stuff that shrinks. It does not bounce. It sits where I put it - lol. But I love my natural hair. Great videos.

  • @Qwali84 You sound like me. My hair seems to grow inward, dry up easily and break off. It's natural, but doesn't seem to grow as fast as it did when it was permed. Moisterizing it is harder when it is all kinked up and I can't see where the split ends are. I bet my hair is in worse conditon than yours is, Lol!

  • you have the idea hair texture

  • this was after how many months of growth? How many months natural?

  • ok i think i have 4c hair now. Its exactly like yours!

  • @euphoricsoul83 her hair is 4a

  • Your hair is soo bouncy!!!

  • You are so pretty. You have a beautiful and heartwarming smile :)

  • You are so beautiful! This video has inspired me to persevere through the awkward stage that I am currently in!! Usually I would color my hair or do something subconsciously to sabatage it at this point, but no, i'm gonna keep it simple and keep the hope alive!!

  • Man ... U got dat good hair type..! i got da 4b/4c / 4a in da back....lol but nice hair :)

  • I agree with last post, a little boring. But nice hair and you're pretty too. :-). Not trying to hurt your feelings, just my honest opinion.

  • idk how to french braid.. :(

  • @br33anoia4321 I would say any tutorial that shows you a good way to do it is the best. Also the way I learned and my hair is 4a but it's only a year and a few months old, so it isn't naptural's length but I learned but watching this mom who did it on her daughters hair who. Step-by-step and really easy to figure out on your own hair texture. Also the tutorial I usually watched the mother and child both had naturally straight as can be hair but the method is what counts. /watch?v=lRhfilCsk0Y

  • @br33anoia4321 Can you cornrow? A french braid is a backwards cornrow. Instead of going underhanded to pick up the hair, go overhanded. Think of it as an inside out cornrow. Right now my hair is too short for a french braid; I can't hardly wait until I can do one again.

  • @RVaughn1990 i don't know how to cornrow either.but i can braid. but thanks for trying to help me. :)

  • @RVaughn1990 i feel my hair comes out similar to her when i just braid it..i wish i could understand the cornrow concept but since i a nubienatural my hairs still quite short which makes cornrowing harder

  • love!!!! the music!

  • your pretty and so is your hair :)

  • I yawned about 10 times -.-

  • Thank You, very beautiful

  • Beautiful natural healthy hair, no split ends at all! I really like the midnight black, or maybe ebony gorgeous color. Please don't ever dye ur hair sis.

  • Gostei demais muito bom...

  • Goodness your hair is freaking gorgeous! Black, shiny and healthy. Jealous!

  • really love this song what is it?

  • you have gorgeous hair!!!

  • you have beautiful hair.! :)

  • i just took my braids out the other day and i have been braiding my hair for 3 years now ive had natural hair all my life but sometimes my hair gets damaged any tips for how to make my hair look less ratty? and also ur hair looks so good after a braid out jealouse your my hair twin!!:)

  • @facookie13 Have you watched any of Kimmaytube videos on Youtube? She also has a wealth of information on getting ones hair back to healthy, beautiful, natural hair. Good luck!

  • I PRAY that my hair looks like hers once it reaches this length. Its so beautiful * hair envy * lol

  • You have is zoo pretty! I have 4a hair type but my hair doesn't look glossy and luscious like yours :( Is it the shea butter thats giving you that high shine?

  • Is there a video for shea butter cream or do you purchase it? Absolutely love your videos!

  • day 2 was such a cute hairstyle!!! when i take my braids out today i'm going to try it!!

  • omg i have to same hair type! I am still holding on to my relaxed ends...poor things but I am still trying to work up the nerve to cut them....may be next year!...do you still use apple cider vinegar?

  • See my hair is a little over 4 inches and 4b hair and I can't braid it for anything cuz it's too tightly coiled i can't stand it most day!

  • @IntoTheFrenzy89 mines to man but i have been wearing weaves and it seems to be growing my hair but im ready to do my own natural hair

  • @deedeedmr Thank you for the suggestion I appreciate it. I will absolutly try her page. I'm a 4C but Naptural85 is 4B or 4A. I love her videos and I will keep taking her advice and I'll add kimmaytube's in my routine as well. Thank you so much =D

  • I don't what type of hair you got ,but it looks so pretty

  • At amahoro31, there is a video on it. Search for naptural85 shea butter

  • Hey, Nap.....I was wondering what you use, if anything, on your scalp? My scalp has the tendency to be dry..........any thoughts?

  • @empressjahada you can try vegetable glycerin and water mix. More water. 70-30 or 60-40 and spritz it lightly when your hair is dry and when you go to bed

  • I never thought of doing my french braid WITHOUT first combing thru it! Genius. You keep your natural curl pattern. Makes so much sense. Will def try that next time! thx for this :-)

  • Can you do a tutorial on curlformers? Have you ever used them?

  • @luvleecreole If you haven't already seen it, she has one on curlformers. Got o her page and look through her posts. It might be titled something about big beach hair but she def. has one :)

  • @luvleecreole Sorry I think It may be titled heatless curls heatless blowdry effect but its on there!

  • I absolutely love your hair!

  • Hey Naptural85 How do I determin my hair type. it isn't like yours mine is more kinky with tighter curls. Can you give me some info on Hair types. also i think I'd probably need to moisturize more than you do and do more to my hair than you need to. what do you think?

  • @youyoutsmiles you should check out kimmaytube as well- she has kinkier hair and still achieves really awesome looks with similar techniques to Naptural85. But I love Naptural85 as well, since her hair is more like mine. You can still use these techniques and your hair will still look nice. It may look different than Naptural85, but it will still come out looking awesome. Try it!

  • Can you please tell us how to make this shea butter cream and pomade?

  • thank you so much for being so honest and making everything easy as pie you really explain in detail just what i need i love you thanks and i just start my all natural jouney can wait for my mud shampoo

  • Such a pretty lady! I love your hair~

  • i didnt know yawns were viturally contagious lol

  • Comment removed

  • @sdoubles410 i yawned right after i read that lol

  • @sdoubles410: Had to Give your comment a Thumbs Up. So funny!

  • @sdoubles410 i read this and yawned, lol

  • as soon as i read this i yawned just reading it

  • The secret to your shine, if I undestand correctly, is water, plus your homemade shea butter cream and pomade. Well, it's working out awesome for you. Does the flaxseed gel contribute to shine at all? Thanks.

  • I love your creativity and energy with your hair styles and products. All the best and keep inspiring your subbies with the beauty of your natural hair!

  • I adore you natural 85!your video's has me falling in love with my hair all over again ;)And that's a good thing.

  • r u saying 'sticky shea butter' or 'silky shea butter'? and what makes it sticky or silky....love the vid btw

  • that part seems relentless lol

  • you look very pretty in this video :) great curls and thanks for the inspiration xD

  • Just subbed. Your hair is beautiful

  • I tried this and ended up with big hair, but not much curl definition. Guess I'm wearing an afro today lol

  • @heartbreakeroxx your comment made me laugh xD those sort of days make me realize "oh no...my hair is controlling me...again!!" grr

  • @cl0verness I know, right!? Luckily I was able to make it look cute lol

I hate those moments when I spend all that time twisting my hair only to have it decide to do it's own thing when I take it out in the morning -_-

  • your hair is absolutly ah mazing! suscribed just now!

  • I do this on my daughters hair.........my bf says her har is "wild" and my sis says it looks "nappy" (which I hate!) but they are just ignorant. Her hair is similar to yours and is not tangles at all, is very moisturized and healthy!

  • I love your hair. It looks so healthy. I also love your voice........pleasant to listen to........not annoying like some :)

  • BEAUTIFUL thick thick hair.

  • If I had your hair I would cowash and go.. every day!!! those unmanipulated curls are beautiful! I still love my kinks tho. smile!

  • YEs, my hair stays sooo dull and dry looking...i used shea butter for the first time yesterday, however, my roots are still really dry

  • Wow. You actually use the body shea butter lotion or is it hair cream?

  • @Naptural85. I dont see what the big deal is with shea butter. I've heard people say "put it on the ends of your twists. I do that and all I see the next day is caked up hair. So frustrating! Any tips?

  • @yvonnia123 she said she uses it with water... that might help.

  • are u mixed

  • @CeruleanIncubus7 why does someone have to be mixed to have beautiful hair? African's (which include "african-americans" for the purposes of this comment) are the most genetically diverse people in the world.

  • @prettiegirl07 hey sorry, i guess my little sis must have used my account name lol. I don't think she was asking it in a malicious way though. She's 10, so i think she's just curious in general. She has been obsessing about natural hair for a while and just started looking up hair types, etc.

  • @prettiegirl07 finally! some one who is aware of this fact!!!!!! thank you =D

  • @prettiegirl07 It's misinformation. People can rely on hearsay instead of fact. Family and friends, culture and televison; powerful tools in the progression of knowledge AND ignorance.

  • I watch one of your videos everyday. Well since 4/20/2011 when i pressed paused and chopped my permed hair. Im happy and scared at the same time. I can work a wig, relaxer and weave, but I have no idea how to take care of my natural hair. Your tutorials are precise and detailed perfectly. Hopefully, I'll be able to care for my hair when it grows back. Now let me go wash your egg, mayo, and honey conditioner out of my hair. thankyou hun lol :)

  • hey i dont have shea butter at the moment...is kera care moisterizer good it have joboba oil in it??

  • beautiful hair and I like how you pinned it up on the second day

  • Love your videos keep it up!!!

  • Nice hair texture, looks easy to do styles and curls with

  • Your hair is lovely!

On a side note..... I find the drumming in the music gets me a bit agitated, although I turn the sound down as far as I can. Couldn't the music in your videos be more of a background 'noise'?

  • Day 3 is a perfect one for school that's what I use it for now thanks

  • I love the background music. Do you use apples ivideo?

  • what kind of shea butter are you using and where'd you get it from? I can't find any good shea butter.

  • love your hair!

  • I am in no way trying to be rude, please take this as constructive critisism. You play the same music throughout the whole video and in everyone of your videos! It gets really annoying quite quickly. Please, either change up the music or don't play any music at all. I'm sure I am not the only one who finds this annoying.

  • Love your moisture results, beautiful!

  • you have a beautiful hair texture

  • Damn your grows soo much hahahah

  • see these types of videos make me soo excited to be natural.

  • Beautiful hair! My hair looks like yours all around the perimeter and is a big, crispy. rough fluff ball in the middle!! I'm going to try your Shea butter recipe's to see if it will help that area with moisture (except when wet). Do you use anything on your scalp? I find that my scalp could use something in these cold winter months. How often do you shampoo and/or cowash?

  • Gorgeous hair!! What kind of shea butter do you use?

  • really enjoy your videos! very good!

  • What kind of shea butter are you using? The one I got from the beauty supply makes my hair too greasy and I only use a little. I don't believe what I have is pure shea butter, I have stopped using it.

  • I've been natural for one week and none of my twist outs seem to last. The front of my hair twists great but the back remains a "fro" with one tiny curl at the back. What brand of shea butter are you using?

  • your hair is always EXTREMELY moisturized. Let me go get the shea butter.

  • you might want to use a satin cap with a satin drawstring because that elastic is not good for your hairline (it will eventally thinout and eat away your hairline). great vids!

  • @Raje2

oh my goodness. For two months now my hairline has been receding and I couldn't tell why. I was trying everything. I stopped bunning, started using castor oil and my hair continued to fall out. I have a very similar cap and didn't even think that this could be the problem. Yikes, I'm heading out to sally's tonight! Thanks for the heads up.

  • how many times a week do you wash your hair?

  • I wish my hair was half as thick as yours! nice!

  • your hair had a beautiful glow to it. how do u get that?

  • What do you thnk about Cantu shea butter leave in conditioner? Coconut oil? Or just plan shea butter?

  • We have the exact same hair type!

  • Love the video!!!! Your skin looks very nice what is your regime for your skin?

  • What kind of hat is that gray hat that you put on your hair?

  • i really like your attire in this video... those earrings are fierce!!!

  • You have such lovely hair, lady :p I adore your videos, please keep doing more. Happy holidays and have a nice day! ♥

  • I watched this maybe a 100 times when it was first uploaded, and I still can't get enough. BTW glad we're linked on twitter!!!

  • you are so gorgeous looking in this vid. i'm so impressed!

  • very cute
