I think that people don't look at the worship given to God by the Roman Catholic Church because of the rosary (53 hail mary's & only 6 Our Father) there is but 1 mediator between God and Man and that is JESUS 1Timothy 2:5. You can pray to Jesus directly but be honesty, are you free of sin, domestic problems & stress? No it is not wrong. First the Rosaries meditate on the Life, Death and Resurrection of Christ (not Mary) - you'd know that if you have bothered to check what the Rosary really is. The Hail Mary s are to ask ask the Blessed Mother to "pray for us sinners [TO GOD]" and not anything else. Her praying for us to God IN NO WAY TAKES CHRIST'S MEDIATORSHIP AWAY. Just as you mediating for Christ on youtube does not take His mediatorship away.
Christ alone is the unique mediator between God and man - he is the only person who is fully God and fully man. No one can or will take that mediatorship away. Is quietly praying this at my home, in a chapel, or with others vain repetition? Do we do it so other humans hear us and see us and think we are holy? I think most people who pray to the saints are honestly and sincerely asking them to pray for them. And the repetition is a way to meditate on the mysteries of the holy scriptures.
The Rosary is not (supposed) to be prayers spit out frivolously. It's is a complete meditation of the Mysteries of our salvation, meditation on the life of our Saviour. Mind, body and soul. You must contemplate His Passion. That IS a TRULY complete rosary.

@mufc1970ok Mary was not immaculately conceived, Christ was. Mary's body was used to give birth to the 'fleshly' form God would dwell in and later sacrifice on the cross for our sins. Roman catholics go far beyond 'honouring' Mary. They pray to her in vain, kneel and bow down before statues of her, hang pictures of her in their homes, build shrines in her honour....etc. This is clearly worship. Mary can't save you. I'm from a Catholic Background and I prayed this Daily until I read THE BIBLE! To which nowhere does it say pray to the Saints. The Only Person that you should pray to is Jesus or God the Father.
Yes it does say that but we are not praying to the saints really. We are asking them to pray to God for us. And in the rosary we pray to Mary who is without sin and by asking her for prayers we are asking her to pray for us. Same thing with every saint there is. : )

If when she gave birth to the purest being this world has ever seen she was still considered to be unclean. Jesus is the only person to be without sin. @strackzilla The Bible asks for us to pray for each other. But, nowhere does the Bible say to ask the dead to pray for you. The only instance where the dead was talked to was Saul's speaking with Abraham which God counted as witchcraft. Honestly, much in Catholicism in the way of devotion and full understandings of God's work amazes me. I still can't get over the fact that there are very sketchy, rather anti-biblical practices. I think that people don't look at the worship given to God by the Roman Catholic Church because of the rosary (53 hail mary's & only 6 Our Father) there is but 1 mediator between God and Man and that is JESUS 1Timothy 2:5. Never do you read about praying to a human(Mary) ONLY through CHRIST can you know the Father. My opinion, the rosary IS the Abomination on earth.

You can pray to Jesus directly but be honesty, are you free of sin, domestic problems & stress? All of this is beautiful in form and presentation, but Jesus didn't even speak in such regard of his mother....He said those who do the will of my father and keep my comandments are my family. His death was so man could come to him and pray and have His blood cover thier sins. Mary never did one miracle, but His disicples did many. No it is not wrong. First the Rosaries meditate on the Life, Death and Resurrection of Christ (not Mary) - you'd know that if you have bothered to check what the Rosary really is. The Hail Mary s are to ask ask the Blessed Mother to "pray for us sinners [TO GOD]" and not anything else. Her praying for us to God IN NO WAY TAKES CHRIST'S MEDIATORSHIP AWAY. Just as you mediating for Christ on youtube does not take His mediatorship away.

I think most people who pray to the saints are honestly and sincerely asking them to pray for them. And the repetition is a way to meditate on the mysteries of the holy scriptures.

@mufc1970ok Mary was not immaculately conceived, Christ was. Mary's body was used to give birth to the 'fleshly' form God would dwell in and later sacrifice on the cross for our sins. Roman catholics go far beyond 'honouring' Mary. They pray to her in vain, kneel and bow down before statues of her, hang pictures of her in their homes, build shrines in her honour....etc. This is clearly worship. Mary can't save you. Do your soul a favour and give Christ the attention He deserves instead.

Christ was born of Israel. The Israelite nation is often referred to as a woman in Isaiah54:5 and Jeremiah31:32.This woman cannot be mary because the woman IS ON EARTH DURING THE TRIBULATION, whereas mary's spirit is in heaven at that time.

The Marian apparitions are clearly demonic. Don't take my word for it. Brush the dust off of your Bibles and compare what the demon pretending to be Mary says and what the truth in the Bible says. I think Mary is a good model for us. Not that we should pray to her. Idk what Scripture there is to back up to praying to saints. I didn't know the rosary was like this. Sorta like a reminder of what God's done. But, why prayer to saints? Why the ritual?

Yes it does say that but we are not praying to the saints really. We are asking them to pray to God for us. And in the rosary we pray to Mary who is without sin and by asking her for prayers we are asking her to pray for us. Same thing with every saint there is. : )

If when she gave birth to the purest being this world has ever seen she was still considered to be unclean. Jesus is the only person to be without sin. That is very misleading for the pope to say that she was. Many Catholics put Mary up on a pedistal when she doesnt belong there.

@kiwichristian2009 In Luke 1:28 The angel Gabriel said to Mary 'Hail, Mary, full of grace...' You cannot be full of grace if you have the stain of sin. Grace is something that is bestowed on people who are clean. Mary was FULL of grace so empty of sin. There is no room for both.

@HinataURocks I've searched through many different translations of the mainstream bible for 'full of grace', and nowhere is Mary called that. She is told by the angel that she is 'favoured by god', or has 'found favour in god's eyes'. So? David was favoured in god's eyes. At one time Saul was favoured in God's eyes. Samuel was favoured in God's eyes. We are favoured in God's eyes.

@kiwichristian2009 Well I don't think you believe in purgatory so I will just tell you what I know and hope you understand. We pray for the good souls in purgatory (a place for souls to purify for their sins commited on earth so they may get to heaven) so they may get to heaven a bit quicker. It is an act of charity They did it in in Maccabees when many men died in a war.

Mary is definitely someone I would ask to Pray for me. Along with her husband, Joseph.

@strackzilla The Bible asks for us to pray for each other. But, nowhere does the Bible say to ask the dead to pray for you. The only instance where the dead was talked to was Saul's speaking with Abraham which God counted as witchcraft. Honestly, much in Catholicism in the way of devotion and full understandings of God's work amazes me. I still can't get over the fact that there are very sketchy, rather anti-biblical practices. This, of course, isn't to say that Protestants don't as well.

@strackzilla If Catholic Church has a prayer beads called Rosary. And Muslim has a prayer beads called Misbaha or Tasbih. And Hindus has a prayer beads called Japa Mala. And Buddhist has prayer beads called Japa Mala. Which has more power to reach God. Or is this just a manifestation of paganism. Jesus Christ never used prayer beads. Prayers to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob should come from the heart like a son or daughter speaking to your flesh father on earth.

When we pray the rosary we are asking them to pray for us. It is a special way to ask for blessings and when we pray to the saints we arent doing that exactly. Just asking for prayers and help. :D SO we are not praying to her but asking things. like prayer.

@iamjeremey You got it. She is a good model, but she is not above anyone else. We are warned from trying to contact the dead ( which is in effect what praying to dead people is ) in Deut18:10,11. There is only ONE mediator, and that is Jesus Christ, 1Tim2:5. Catholicism was started by emporer constantine ( catholics deny this of course ) by mixing Christianity with paganism. Hence the idolatry and rituals which are pagan in origin.

The mysteries are like things to meditate on as we pray. Like when you are saying the rosary and we get the Joyful mysteries then we think of the finding of Jesus in the temple or any number of things. You can go into google and type in Joyful mysteries. :)

Yah, it shows how people can take a couple of verses and make a new belief system out of it. The Lord was with a lot of people. Abraham, Noah, etc. The reason Elizabeth was most blessed was because she was chosen to be the earthly mother of the Lord. She is not to be compared to Jesus. Yet what do I see, Mary Idols everywhere.Statues. Praying not to our God but instead to Mary. The Lord your God is all you ever need. He hears your every prayer. Pray only to him. He alone gives eternal life.

Acts4:12 "Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”.Romanists do not worship the Mary of the Bible but one of their own imagination who is based on an ancient pagan goddess. Catholics call their Mary, "The Queen of Heaven". This pagan goddess is found in Jeremiah chapters 7 and 44. God hated worship of the queen of heaven.
