Everything's wrong for the time period: the armor, the horses' armor, the length of the arrows, the broadswords, the way lances are carried (they were carried in one of two ways). Women were not knights and it was not a multiracial society... asians and blacks? i don't know what would have been done with them, but they wouldn't exactly blend in, that's for sure. i did see a fireplace that seemed the correct size (chimneys weren't in the region yet - hope there are none in the game)!

To bad they won't make a Dynasty warrior Gundam game like this..where you are a mercenary and can join Zeon, Earth, Orb, Plants, Moonrace, ect.... and change sides but continue and stay with only one charicter all the way through

this isn't hack 'n slash, you just press R1 for normal attack and you have 3 skills

you don't actually controll it directly, and that's why it sucks

I have this game and i love it :) but i hate fighting calvary, all they do is charge, run you over and run away when i have a good squad to kill them... My favorite squad to use is halberds.

LOVED this game on 360, but i accidently saved over my first game, *all my calvary were level 50+* and i lost it=( but i still like it don't mind doing it over again fun game 5 stars

This game is amazing. I always wanted to play a rts/hack slash game. This only thing I don't like about this game it that The Black Prince looks like a bitch. I always picture the Black Prince as a war hero with battle scars.

this game is part strategy game, part hack'n'Slash, part RPG.

It's unique, and will be thoroughly enjoyed by anyone enjoying those 3 genre's of gaming.

The voice acting is deplorable at parts, so is majority of the character design, but then again there are gems of voice acting with certain characters.

The scale of the game is impressive, the Demo showcases it best as the entire battlefield is taking place while you're fighting in a little corner of it.

The combat is quite repetitive though, even though there is significant strategy involved to complete many of your contracts knowing what units to use in what scenario etc the base of the combat is still repetitive, but thats expected in a game like this. Especially if you've played any Dynasty Warriors games which Koei is known for.

For anyone who likes Dynasty Warriors and RPG's this will be a gem in your collection especially if you can pick it up cheap somewhere.

The sound for this game is another birghtspot. Between it's excellent sound effects portraying the combat with hundreds of troops ont he screen at once is great, and the epic score for each scene is well done.

What kept this game from being great was the lack of any kind of western or european influence in the character design.

And....

It's gravest miscalculation in my opinion... the lack of any multiplayer. This gameplay has the makings of an epic multiplayer game.

I like this game. I think it has the most exciting story and gameplay. You just have to be fast to play it. You will lose your own buildingarea's if you don't attack too fast. I just love this fighting with the horses and knights.

I really do like this game a lot. Even though it takes it seriously, the anime-ish character designs on the entire war is a little jarring cause it's not over the top like Dynasty Warriors has gotten but it's still there.

Damn Koei, I was always okay with the non-existing historical accuracy of Dynasty warriors, because it was a fun hack and slash, but making an ANIME like hack and slash of European wars is pretty damn low, it looks disgusting. But where can i buy this game in Belgium? :s :')

Wow, finally a Bladestorm video that shows the actual opening movie in its entirety (and yes, it looks a lot more awesome than this video can show).

The last part where Joan of Arc leads the massive French Army into battle is probably the most awesome scene in the opening. And its awesome that a young lady managed to unite the French Army together.

Joan of Arc never did any fighting... The Black Prince would have destroyed her. He fought his first battle at 16, he fought directly on the front line. His army of 10,000 destroyed a french one of 24,000. Of course he had to go and get cancer. Also i find it funny that both sides go and charge directly at one another.

The thing with reviewers is that as soon they see a game with the Koei logo on thy think of the DW/SW series. Then they think that its the same as DW and SW which leads to bad reviews cause of the fact that they probably dont play more then 5 minutes. You gotta give this game a couple of hours to be able to enjoy it.
