  • definitely sounds like Finnish.

  • Wow... This is just amazing. I get chills just hearing it. I love your work!

  • @PikaDotus In my book the paragraph reads : "Then Feanor swore a terrible Oath. ..And his sons beside him. They swore an oath which none shall break, and none should take, by the name even of Ilûvatar, calling the Everlasting Dark upon them if they kept it not...Vowing to pursue with vengeance and hatred to the ends of the World Vala, Demon, Elf or Man as yet unborn, or any creature, ..good or evil that time should bring forth unto the end of days whoso should take or keep a Silmaril from them."

  • @valarmanwe

Several versions of the actual text of the Oath are given in the History of Middle Earth; this translation is based on one of those.

  • quenya bases on finnish, so its no wonder it sounds nordic...

  • @sariel22ich Finnish is not related to Swedish or Norwegian or danish but is in a separate language group. Finno-Ugric. Just because they are neighbors doesn't mean they are the same.

  • Wow, Marry me! Lol. You do the language justice, it's beautiful.

  • @eliree81 Thanks ^.^

  • Wow this language sounds very Nordic:)
