The rb1 and 2 drums are very similar to GHWT drums for star power ativating, instead of hitting both cymbols, you hit Yellow and Blue together to activate star power.

He's using a rockband drum kit, it fuses to of the channels together, while keeping the same beat and number of notes, just compresses it so that you can use the rb drum kit.
