I'm a "Bible thumper" and this song is great. I love Brooke's work with Hillsong, but I love her solo stuff too. Some "christians" believe that anything that isn't explicitly about Jesus is wrong. @shiningirl07 Please listen and listen closely. Many songs today, many of them Brooke's have hidden meanings. Just like this song, Betty, tells of how people with bad pasts who are lost can still have a chance for a good life. What's cool is that some songs that people don't think are religious actually have many religious implications hidden inside them. That's a good way of getting unreligious people to listen to religious music, cuz if the song is openly religious, others won't listen to it.

How is this song dishonoring to God? I don't understand. She's encouraging someone to show who they really are and take off their mask, because we are all imperfect. Is that not a biblical message? Lets say god created u, he gave u brains to think, but ur doing as told. u shouldnt accept things as they are but go into things research them. It will make ur brain sharper and u wont block urself.

@polearm8 uhm... trust me Ive done the research. No where in the bible does it say how old it is. and no one knows how old a dinosaur bone is.... Carbon dating is how they "found" that out. Carbon dating isnt even proved yet. people have taken bones that have come out of something that died right in front of them and according to carbon dating its million of years old. and in the beginning of the bible the earth was created in 7 days and nights.

@polearm8 Honestly, you don't know that there is no God. You cannot prove he doesnt exist. I know God exist's, I feel him. I changed when I became a christian, litterally overnight. You cannot explain that. I have things that God has done for me that convince me he is real.

@MissEyelashWisher well, in that way you could say anything exists, just because nobody could prove that it doesn't exist... but i agree there are things that cannot be explained, and that not everything needs to be explained. it's all about believing it exists or not: if you believe god exists, he does, and if you don't believe it, he doesn't.

well along with this argument, she has done so much work for the church. she has sung for many ministries and has helped with many charity causes. and i beleive god also has said before you pick the sliver out of someone elses eyes pick the log out of your own. All i can see is you judging a woman, what have you done in comparison. in the message you have sent i see less of gods message then the great example brooke has set

I'm a "Bible thumper" and this song is great. I love Brooke's work with Hillsong, but I love her solo stuff too. Some "christians" believe that anything that isn't explicitly about Jesus is wrong. This isn't the case. Her solo stuff is clean, it's fun, it's artistic, it's good to go. People need to chill.

why are crazy bible thumpers soiling this video? This is a great, fun song from a talented artiste who has the right to write whatever songs she wants. It's people like them that give religion a bad name. If they want to hear christian songs, write one themselves or go search up a christian song

@shiningirl07 Please listen and listen closely. Many songs today, many of them Brooke's have hidden meanings. Just like this song, Betty, tells of how people with bad pasts who are lost can still have a chance for a good life. What's cool is that some songs that people don't think are religious actually have many religious implications hidden inside them. That's a good way of getting unreligious people to listen to religious music, cuz if the song is openly religious, others won't listen to it.

How is this song dishonoring to God? I don't understand. She's encouraging someone to show who they really are and take off their mask, because we are all imperfect. Is that not a biblical message? Additionally, I don't see a problem with her outfit whatsoever. She is completely covered. Her shoulders are bare, but I don't recall it being immodest for Christians to wear strapless outfits so long as they fit properly. And she's dancing around in a garden of flowers. What's risque about that?
