Ok, curiosity got the best of me and I just listened (skimpily, of course) to some 60 fundubs versions of this song online and my apprectiation to your singing has grown up tremenduously. If I were a producer you were the one I would hire. I don'y think it is just your voice (like many people think), it is who you are as a person which comes across in the singing. You have the magic touch from the very first note down to the last one. What else is left to say? Magnificent!

Have you had any vocal training? I think you need to work on your vowel pronunciations but other than that you have really great tones and get all the notes right. Your voice is well suited to this song; you should probably stick to this genre.

Oh; I didn't know it was a New York accent. That's kind of funny, actually, because a lot of people who sing can't pronounce their vowels very well (different "problem" from yours) sound like they have New York accents when they don't.
