We chose this location in Guthrie OK because the old train depot in the back ground, plays a big part in the film's back story. Fingerprints, IS based on the San Antonio urban legend, but it takes the story further. Matching the exact, secluded location of the actual San Antonio tracks would not have been as useful to the films production value and plot.
Too bad. They did not even try to match the location of the tracks. It is a rather remote area, with a lot of trees. Didn't they realize that many people from San Antonio would be going to see the film, or did they just not care?
When I found out that it wasn't even filmed in San Antonio, it ruined it for me. I noticed instantly once I saw the tracks. it is nothing like that. :P
I just saw this on Netflix it was ok the ending sucked. Its not really scary.
