Funny is I hate europeans lost they pride after WW2 and the yanks become of cliche in their films.
Yanks killing commies, one day this kind of movies will be regarded as evil propaganda and not only yanks directors will fall in infamy, but yankilized directors like this one.
@das81 this movie is about Swedish agents on a mission in the USSR, so its not about yanks, its spoken in English for a wider audience but the characters are supposed to be Swedish
@das81 yes, but they kind of do that in real life also unfortuently, i live in Sweden and i really dont like this country to be honest, its the most Americanized country in Europe
@vaultkeeper2 Ok, my point is validated!. No wonder World in conflict a game that give the message "we can defend our mainland, but europe can't" come from a swedish, of course produced by american capital, and they also have a great involment in the direction of the history.
@das81 Ninja Mission was never a big hit in Sweden, actually its not many people here who even heard about it, and many of those who have seen it has no idea that its a Swedish movie, but there are non-Americanized Swedish war movies also, search for "Commander Hamilton", that movie is a Swedish action-war movie with Americans as villains and Swedes and Russians as the good guys, its about Swedish agents against an American terrorist who's going to nuke Europe
I've lived in Sweden all my life and I had no idea they made movies like this here. Looks like I have a lost childhood to reclaim!
It's also surprisingly gory, seeing as both Enter the Dragon and Max Max had been banned from Sweden back in the day for being too violent, or something.
I had got a date ( with a girl ). A fairly rare event but it happened occasionaly. She said "shall we get a video and go back to my place ?" I chose The Ninja Mission (it had just been released). Funny thing - she never wanted to see me again. Still - it was a great film !
Nothing like good old fashioned blood, guts, guns, kung fu and at 1:58, GAS MASK ON FACE FILLED WITH VOMIT !!! A true 10.0 on the stoma-quake vomit scale.
that is true lol i have the uk and us vhs video versions and none have the bit when the head gets sliced off but i know its on the european dvd as i been told the uncut version good clip thanks for uploading
European Movie poster is probably one of the best posters of that decade. Really! Its one of those posters that makes you want to watch a movie just based on seeing one image. I have the Large French oversize poster and the UK One sheet. Amazing stuff. Often wonder who did the poster in case they have other good stuffout there.
It didn´t get released in the U.S.? It was promoted in Sweden with tags like "number one video in USA". So we kids here didn´t know that this was made in Sweden :P
I was only a kid when it got released but I can still remember what a huge surprise it was to find out it was Swedish. "What? Really? can they make cool movies like this in Sweden?" Haha

saw this when it was originally released. No martial arts, just all gunplay. Great poster, the movie sucked though.

That's funny. Yeah, it got released here in the US on the Media label. It fed our ninja craze, though most of the bloody effects were cut.

Yeah man. That was a clip taken from the rare Wilder/Prior film "Ninja Crazy". It was made in Europe and didn't get released over here.
